i've actually been going to this jiffy lube location for years, whenever i'm back in merced and due for an oil change. they're great about doing an overall check on the car, and recommending what needs to be checked and/or replaced. my visit on tues, 12/26/17, was no exception. i went in for a routine oil change before heading back to SF, and it ended up being more than that. instead of a 20-30 min service, michael and his team actually worked on my car for almost 4 hrs, even staying after closing for an hour to make sure everything was taken care of and working properly. i can't thank michael and his team enough for the diligence & commitment on my car! it definitely put my mind at ease when i left that my car was in better shape than when it arrived. read more

Came to jiffy lube for an oil change and upon inspection one of the employees had mentioned that my back license plate light was out & offered to change it for $9.99 so I said sure considering I didn't want to get a ticket. Waited for about 30 min and the employee comes back inside ready to ring me up & says "We weren't able to fix the light because theirs just too many lights back there & it's hard to get to which will take us at least over an hour to repair".Then why offer sir? I had a horrible experience with V st jiffy lube i don't know why their rates are higher than Yosemite's yesterday I went for a oil change for my Mini Cooper (on V st) and the guy denied the job cause he said nobody in jiffy lube in Merced or Atwater knows how to change the oil to a Mini Cooper and that I would be better off going to bmw not only did he deny the job but he broke my dip stick to my oil filter and didn't tell me about it oh and he tried denying my groupon too..... but the guys on Yosemite (Brandon & Michael) did an amazing job on my oil and got it done and knew how to do it and accepted my groupon I will never in my life go to V st again horrible customer service GO TO YOSEMITE FOR YOUR OIL CHANGE! I had a coupon for $10 off an oil change that I received yesterday for this specific location. I go and use it today and they say it's expired, but the expiration date is 10/31/2019. Cashier offered me a $7 dollar coupon instead. Thoughtful but total B.S. Don't send out coupons for certain locations and then not accept them. Not cool Jiffy Lube. read more

I use to take my truck to jiffy lube for my oil changes. But I stopped because it seemed like every time I went home there was some kind of oil leak. Well it's been ten years so I decided to take my truck to them since it's close to where I live. But I guess I should have known better it's been two days now and yes it's leaking. So I decided to look under my truck to see what was going on. The first thing I saw was oil all over everything. So I cleaned it all up. Then I lifted the hood and there was oil all over the engine block, yep cleaned that up too. Then I went for a short drive. After being home for about 30 minutes l noticed a couple of drops. So back under the truck I went and noticed the drops coming from the filter it seemed to be tight but I gave it a little twist I hope that will do it. But needless to say I will never go back to them again. read more

7/17/20...This placed failed the COVID test. Talking about promoting COVID, this place violated all the CDC guidelines. I went for an oil change this morning about 9:45 am. When I arrived, I sat in the small waiting area with another customer (API I believe) and this person did not wear a mask. I was kinda concerned; fortunately he was 6 ft from me but barely. Then another customer walked in the no mask (W). Jeeze I went outside. Now this place doesn't have an outside sitting area. So I stood in the heat waiting for my car to come down off the railings. While outside I ask the gentleman that gave me my estimate why aren't they enforcing CDC guideline as I noticed there was now 4 people in the waiting room and only one had a mask (3 W and 1 M). His response in short told me that it is up to customers to keep themselves safe in that establishment because he was not going to say anything to anybody unless they asked if they had to wear a mask. Very inconsiderate. I didn't have to come here. They didn't save me money but they could cause my death. It's that serious. The 1 Mexican who was a woman finally decided to come outside too even though she wore a mask like me. She probably thought that was just too many people in that little box too. If you can't practice safety inside then set up for customers outside or close!!!! read more

I writing this review for the shop at the 200 E Yosemite. The service wasn't bad, but I could tell the guys didn't want to change the light bulbs because it was going to be a difficult task. You see, the headlights been broken for the last five days, but apparently it was working jus fine during their inspection . I am giving 4 stars to "Chai" because after i paid and brought to their attention that the headlights still weren't working, he made sure that it was done right. read more

Two weeks ago I went in for an oil change. I've been there several times without any problem. This time they spilled oil over the engine, radiator and the air filter compartment. I noticed it from a burning oil smell on the way home. Called them to ask why - they didn't offer an explanation but did offer to clean it off if I brought it back. I decided to do it myself, but the oil had dripped down and was out of reach, so it smoked for a few more days. I emailed the head office a day or two after the spill and have yet to receive a reply. Hopefully my experience is the exception, but I won't be going back. read more

Edit: It's been 2 years and I still go to them. They have great customer service and are still really prompt. When they do try to up-sell they're not pushy if I turn down product. I was helped by someone the second I arrived and for an oil, air, cabin filters and tire rotation it only took 20 minutes. Will definitely go back. read more

Honestly, I wish I could give zero stars. This is my 3rd time coming to this Jiffy Lube so my review is not based on 1 bad experience, but 3. The first time I waited for over 40 minutes, I was the only customer there, and they never reset the maintenance light. The second time, my wait was longer, the oil pad was left soaked (leaking all over my driveway), and again, the maintenance light left on. So I called yesterday to see if they would be open today to fix the issue. I was assured that they would be open and to come in anytime before 6. I arrived at 3pm to find it closed. I'm done! Done! Please don't waste your time and go here. You'll get shoddy service and unprofessional behavior each and every time. read more

If your car has any problem, you don't come to an oil change station. You want to pay less, just tell the guy who works there using conventional oil if they can't do it find somebody's else can. You will only pay around 30 bucks for it. If you are paying a high price for a full synthetic oil just remember you next time oil change is after 7500 miles and not 3000 miles. You pay what you get jiffy lube is good company. read more

Rude staff and will lie to you about the oil needed in your car. When after all these years does my car require a 'special' oil when I've used regular for years. Said they couldn't use regular 'by law' because all of a sudden it's required for my car. I may not know tons about cars but I know enough. I'm not an idiot. When I came in for an oil change (with a $20.00 coupon) I was told I need synthetic oil. The price went up to $72.49 - $18.99, because I had a coupon. Next morning I called the car dealership and I was told that my car does not need synthetic oil. I went back and asked for a refund. I overheard the clerk saying that they don't have the regular oil in stock for my car. I wish she would have told me that right in the beginning. So be aware and don't believe everything they are telling you. Also, on the receipt there is an 800 # printed in case there is any question. I called that # and got the answering machine. I left a message and I was not called back. So much for customer service. read more

Amazing service from Raul, Jettarine, and Annalou today! I've gone to this location several times now and they are always extremely nice and super fast! I arrived at 3:10 pm and was out at 3:28 pm, THAT'S 18 MINUTES! Annalou, the cashier, didn't try to upsell me on anything like other oil change shops do (Speedee is terrible about that). The only additional service I paid for other than the conventional oil change was a battery terminal cleaning for $15, which I knew it needed. I also have always checked my fluids and engine bay when I get back home from having an oil change, just out of habit from prior scams at other places, and NOT ONCE HAVE THEY LIED TO ME. Love this place, I highly recommend them! Make sure not to pay the actual oil change price Jiffy Lube has so many coupons and discounts, make sure to use one. I always use the $13 off coupon from the Jiffy Lube website, seems to be the best discount for me. read more

my boyfriend and i went in for an oil change. before we did, we called and asked how long the waiting time was going to be & they said 20-25 minutes. me and my boyfriend ended up waiting almost 2 hours. they told us it would be $40 dollars for an oil change but it ended up being $70 for something that they had to without letting us know. read more

Came in for an oil change. After the standard inspection and oil change, Brandon asked if I had any concerns. The only thing was the back windshield wiper. They were able to replace the blade immediately. He also asked if I had any coupons or offers, and after looking one up on my phone, I was able to use it. All in all, Brandon was there to serve. If it's not a service you're interested in, he won't waste your time. If you have any concerns, be sure to mention them or ask and he'll address them as best as he can and make the necessary recommendations. He's not pushy, doesn't try to sell more services than needed. read more

Way over priced! They try to stiff you and if you look like a sucker they'll try and add things that don't need to be changed. They told me I needed my transmission fluid changed when I know for a fact that the last time I got my oil, it was changed. I am definitely never coming back. read more
