I want to take a few minutes to let everyone know how great this place is! I'm a loyal person and…read morehave had the same mechanic for a very, very, long time. I recently bought a different car and decided to use synthetic oil in it to make sure I get the most out of my beauty. My car was at 4500k miles since last oil change, I was going on a far road trip and I wanted to get my oil changed. My regular mechanic was too busy and blew me off without giving me an appt. I saw an suggestion from FB about Quick Change and decided to stop in. Walter told me that there wasn't a need to get an oil change until about 7K miles or the oil indicator was down to 10%, whichever came first. Then proceeded to pull my car in and looked at the oil. He said "see it is still clear but you could use a little more." He proceeded to top off my oil, my washer fluid, the air in my tires and checked my transmission fluid for FREE. Told me to be on my way and have a fun trip knowing my car was good to go. My regular mechanic charges $60 plus tax for synthetic, Walter said they charge $45.99 plus tax, everyday and that I was paying too much! I sure was, in many different ways. THEN! As I was leaving, a lady stopped in to check her AC that wasn't working. Walter told her that 90% of AC issues were because freon was low. Their service was $29.00 and that if the compressor didn't kick on while he was filling he would stop and it would cost her nothing. She was amazed because someone else told her she needed hundreds of dollars worth of work done to get AC. After vacation, we took my partner's car in and $29.00 and 5 minutes later we were off with AC. Stand-up integrity and customer service. Two of my favorite things. Walter just won me over. He could've taken my money but he didn't, he took a minute to educate me. I only wish they could provide total service for all of our cars. Top notch, they've earned my hard earned $! Kudos fellas!

I brought my 2012 BMW X5 to the Harrisburg/Penbrook location on January 16, 2026 for a routine oil…read morechange. Months later, while still within the service interval, my vehicle began displaying low-oil warnings. On July 27, I took the BMW to another Costa Oil location in Dillsburg. During that service, Costa employees told me the underside of my vehicle was covered in oil, the crush washer was missing from the drain plug, and there were metal shavings in my oil filter. I immediately told them that this Harrisburg location had performed my previous oil change. No other shop had changed my oil or removed the drain plug between those two Costa services. Despite what was found, I was instructed to continue driving and return after approximately 1,000 miles so they could check for metal again. Before I could do that, my engine developed severe knocking and became undrivable. I filed a claim with Costa and provided bank records, photos, videos, repair shop information, and a detailed timeline. Costa denied my claim because I added oil when the first low-oil warning appeared, citing a disclaimer they say was printed on my January receipt. I do not recall ever receiving that receipt, I was not verbally told about this policy, and I never signed anything acknowledging it. After my claim was denied, I personally returned to this Harrisburg location and spoke with the store manager, Robert. According to what Robert told me, the technician who serviced my vehicle in January had caused multiple issues that day and quit that same day. Robert also told me that after the problems were discovered during my July visit, I should not have been allowed to leave and continue driving the vehicle. I gave Costa an opportunity to reconsider after providing them with this additional information, but they have maintained their denial. I am extremely disappointed. I trusted Costa Oil to properly service my vehicle and, when a problem was later discovered by their own employees, I trusted the instructions they gave me. I am now without my vehicle and dealing with significant engine damage. I have filed complaints with the appropriate consumer resources and am continuing to pursue the matter. I hope Costa ultimately chooses to stand behind its work and resolve this fairly. Based on my experience and how my claim has been handled, I cannot recommend Costa Oil.

I waited about an hour and 15 minutes before they could run a diagnostic to tell me what I needed. They recommended a few other things but inspection is soon and we trust the dealer we go to. I was there about 4 hours but they got me in without an appointment and fixed the problem. I would say it was a success. I was never given a timeframe on diagnostic or how long for repair. I would have liked that. Even an estimate. But I could have bugged them. That's not my style. Overall, in a pinch, it's an option.

Then they said I had a screw in one of my tires and once both problems were fixed they would be able to pass it for inspection. 2 weeks I have gotten both said problems fixed at a local garage down the street. I take my car in this past weekend and now my car won't pass inspection do to 2 tires of having too worn down of a tread, and they need replaced...... If they really need replaced why was I not told of this when I took it into them 2 weeks ago to get it inspected? Were my tires on the brink of passing and in just 2 weeks, all the sudden they're no good? Or are you telling me I've driven significantly faster and harder in these last 2 weeks that it has suddenly worn them down that much? Had this been addressed as an issue last time, I would have gotten my tires fixed before taking it back to get inspected. But I was not told that, and now I've had my time wasted this weekend. Not only that but I now I have reason to believe I'm being ticked and ripped off, because how all of the sudden are my tires no longer passing, when 2 weeks ago they did. If you like doing business with crooks I highly recommend Quicklane.

Instead, they went home for the day, without calling me & left my car in the garage. I called at 6:20pm to figure out the status of my car & was told they didn't finish it up & asked if they could call me in the morning. I said ok, then realized they were trying to keep my car overnight, and walked over to retrieve it. The man at the front desk was kind & actually informed me of the things wrong on my car, added some oil to it & checked me out. Unfortunately, I had to bring the car back to get the emission sticker which I was told would only be a few minutes. Well, i once again was waiting for an hour before they let me leave. The tech parked my car right in front of the door & i sat there waiting for them to call me over for what must've been 5-10 minutes. After they called me over they informed me that I need a brake pad, explained the state requirement & then said id need brakes & rotors in the future. They also said I have an exhaust leak, which is just a flange on the rear pipe. I informed them we already ordered brakes & rotors and that we were repairing the leak ourselves & they still sent me a work up of how much it would be for them to do this, $2000. Insane pricing! Thankfully, we can do it ourselves. Then because of the bad experience I had, they offered me a free oil change but I informed them we do those ourselves too. Nothing else was offered. If the retest wasn't free, id avoid going back here.
