-Got an oil change -Jiffy Lube Longmont stripped the oil tank, and the workers said it was already like that. If that was true they should have told me before it leaked on my driveway -Went in to get the oil pan replaced by the Boulder jiffy lube -The oil pan was stuck and they didn't communicate the timing so I was there for 6 hours when they said it would be 2-3 -They brought my car to me the next day with a loud sound when the car locks (it didn't do that before they had it) and the inside of the wheel well was detached and hitting my tire. -When I brought up these issues they said that it was fine when they drove it, and Customer Service said that car lock sound was likely a coincidence -It'll cost me $500 to fix the door lock alone, they gave me $170 -In the end I have to pay hundreds of dollars to get my car the way it was before I went in for a simple oil change. Avoid Jiffy Lube in general.

Waiting room with flies everywhere. Gee, I wonder why?

The waiting room in this place is fucking disgusting. Trash piling up, flies everywhere. The entire time I was swarmed by flies. If that wasn't bad enough, when I got my car there was a fly inside my car. The floors are disgusting mess covered in garbage. Customer service is a joke. You actually have to walk through the Docking Bay to get to the office, and the Docking Bay is slick with oil on it. Will never return

Visited this Jiffy Lube today for a signature service oil change. First off it was a little unnerving when they asked me to review my cars services and they showed that it had 124,000 miles on it when it's a rather new truck with 10,000 miles, I told the guy that wasn't right and he was kind of insistent that it was that they got it right off the Vin number. Then I noticed the records they were showing me work for a jeep wrangler not a ram pick up truck so they start it over again, they did the oil change and I paid the bill and left and when I got home, I was looking at the invoice where it says vacuumed car complete(see picture) and cleaned windows(see picture) neither of which was done. That always puts in your mind the idea that what else do they not do? Since roughly 25 years ago I owned for Jiffy Lube's I was pretty disappointed to see their service today. to the employees credits, they were all very nice just poorly trained.

Front reception area. Clean and organized!

Horrible!!! Used…read morethem for possibly 5 yrs servicing 4 different cars. They are good at general mechanics. But complex, No!!! Here are 4 situations that made me see new mechanics: 1.) 8 yrs ago, I overheated the engine and cracked the block on my 1984 Landcruiser. They rebuilt the engine, for about $8,000.00. While in the process, Tim claimed the bottom did not need rebuilding. So they closed up the engine. But I was now burning oil. 2 Qts/ 500 miles. They refused to fix the problem. Tim blamed that I told them to not rebuild the bottom end of the engine. (Ask him about it!) 2.) Just last month, Feb 2026, the catalytic converter on my Landcruiser started to fail. They installed that about 6yrs ago, for about $1,200.00. 3.) 2006 V70,Volvo had a small radiator leak. I brought it in each of the 2 times the Low Level light went on. Each time, they could not find the leak. The 3rd time I brought it in was because the radiator blew and the car overheated. I told them to check that I had not cracked the block before repairing the radiator. They repaired the radiator first., about $1,200.00. Then determined the block was cracked. (Rebuild by Swedish Motors was $6,000.00.) 4.) 2009 S80 Volvo. Had them look at this car to see if it was safe to buy, for my 17yr old daughter. The results of their inspection was "it's in great shape". 1 yr later the transmission went. And I found out that this was the one yr Volvo used a Ford impala transmission. No replacement parts, used or rebuilt transmissions were available, per Swedish Motors. I had to scrap the car. When I confronted Tim and Tyler that they should have known this about this model they said that was something I should have known about the car. NOTE: These guys do not deserve those big stickers on their front window that say Toyota and Volvo. Call me .... Dave Longmont, Co 720-745-9460

I'm not sure if it's because of my use of the Groupon as to why the service writer was so pushy about the added services I didn't need, or if they have to be this way? I don't want to think it's because I'm a woman and I'm trying to give them the benefit of the doubt when I say that. But I just replaced my cabin air filter a few weeks ago and I haven't noticed a single problem with my wipers, I replaced those back in April. Thankful for the Groupon but probably will stick to the other place I usually go to! Bit of advice, if someone is using a Groupon it's highly unlikely that they want to add extra services, it's more likely they are in a situation where they don't have the extra to spend, or like me frugal enough to have my husband swap out the air filters and wipers and only pay someone for the services I can't perform on my own. It would be nice to be able to go have a no pressure car service but those days are over...

F*%k these guys! They saw both of those reservoirs empty! Never again Valvoline! Come to think of it they didn't even check my lights either! I've been going to these for 6 years every 5k miles with no problems. Well... that was then and this is ... never go back again! You might as well close this shop down if these are the only people you can get on the payroll. ¡Not even good for oil changes! These kids don't know what they're talking about.... They recommended a front and rear differential fluid change during my oil change. They offered to do the transfer case for free if the front and the rear are done at the same time. I agreed but it was almost closing time so I left. Two days later I came back, the techs said they can't access the "front diff fill hole" from underneath and stated that there is no transfer case on my vehicle. They asserted the "rear diff" was accessible, I declined the service. Finally the techs recommended taking it to the dealer. When I asked why was this service offered in the first place, they replied, "we just ask because the computer prompts us to ask". I pulled out and researched my car for 10 mins. Here's what I found out My vehicle has a transfer case and the fill hole is accessible from underneath. The next morning, in the daylight I found the fill hole in 2 mins. What a waste of time. If they're gonna offer additional services they should know what they're talking about. Just go for oil if you wanna roll the dice. Just avoid going if it's close to closing time too.

BG Automotive? More like "BS" Automotive. The one star is for an oil change (since 0 stars is not…read morean option). BG Auto IS SHADY, smooth talking for sure, but A RIP OFF. STAY AWAY. This is a lengthy description, but it's not half the story. To all the glowing 5 star reviewers - check your invoices. The problem started with their "courtesy inspection" accompanying the oil change, where half of their recommendations (deemed red flag "Requires Immediate Attention") ultimately turned out to be mostly unnecessary and absurdly expensive. That became apparent only after paying. My bad, of course, I obviously should have asked to see a detailed estimate prior to the work. The initial estimate did not provide parts or labor detail & appeared to indicate the work was part of a "complete tune up." Upon dropping off the truck, "Service Advisor"Jesse stated that Champion copper spark plugs had been factory installed on 2013 RAM 2500s, so that was best & what BG would install. Classic BAIT & SWITCH: BG charged $508.48 for a set of 16 plugs! When I challenged the bill, asking if "kryptonite plugs" were installed instead, Jesse indicated, no, the copper plugs were used... then he checked his computer & stated, actually no, in fact the [far] more expensive NKG iridium plugs were installed. "They're much better because they last up to 100,000 miles," he emphasized. I replied, "Great. BG just changed out NGK iridium plugs that had been in the engine already, with only 60,000 miles on them." The WORK WAS COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY. Also on the bill was a "TOTAL FEES" charge of $175.77 (yes, that specific), but with ZERO DETAIL of what those fees were for or how they were calculated. Jesse couldn't provide that detail either, "It could be shop supplies, or hazardous disposal - you know, those state regulations - it could be almost anything." Note there were no hazardous materials involved with this work, such as a tire or battery disposal fee. (Google search indicates: In Colorado, shop fees are usually calculated as a percentage of the labor cost (e.g., 5-10%) and are often capped at a maximum amount (e.g., $25 to $50). Also, Colorado statute requires the repair invoice to have some kind of description of these fees, and further, "a description of each part by name and identifying number." Nowhere on the invoice was the type of plugs installed specified, either. You get NADA DETAIL from BS Automotive. Finally, while repair shops typically mark up parts 70-100% of wholesale price, BG is marking up parts in the ballpark of 100% of retail price. (If you can pry out of them the parts brand they say they'll use, you can easily verify this with a Google search at their counter.) They should be ashamed and embarrassed for what they're charging the hardworking folks of Longmont. When pressed to justify the charges, Jesse insisted they were competitive, "within 5% of other local repair shops." More BS. Comparing apples to apples (parts & labor only), the local dealership quoted over $200 less, the Loveland repair shop I've frequented in the past was over $400 less (obviously, checked after the fact...). If the handful of other shops Jesse quoted are actually within 5%, they are ripping us off too. Jesse would not budge on the final bill, but he did offer to comp me an oil change. As if! I had already told him I would never set foot in BG Automotive again. However, I would take a call from the BG Automotive (Owner) to provide the rest of the story about this pathetic BG encounter.

In his later years maintenance and repairs had been let go but being sturdy and strong running, I bought it and am slowly bringing it up to snuff and it is good in the event I should need to do any long distance traveling with it. . Attended the new shop opening, located just off I-25 and Colorado route 66, where I met Mr. Maggio's family and some of the other customers who call Hands On Autotech their home for vehicle repair and servicing. I first went there based on the recommendation of the Martino troubleshooter show on 630 KHOW AM radio; 10 AM - 2PM, M-F. My opinion is that Tom's shop takes something of a scientific approach to vehicle repair and will go more in depth with an analyses than another shop I had been to for an issue with my '99 Tahoe. As an EV owner himself I gather that Tom is up on the current tech, perhaps more than some other places who would have men of my age (68) from the "dinosaur era" of automotive tech working at their shops.

There was a problem with the communication surrounding the tow transfer so I started my experience with Hands on Auto Tech with some trepidation. Tom handled the situation and we moved onto the real problem with my truck. The diagnosis was the clutch so I approved the repair and waited a few days for the parts to arrive and the repair to proceed. After the clutch was replaced another problem with the operation of the clutch was discovered so I agreed to the additional repair and another day for repair. After a week I was reunited with my truck. The repair was costly, lengthy and unexpected but coming out the other side of this experience I learned a couple of lessons. 1. If you have your vehicle towed to a shop follow the tow truck to the shop and verify the transfer. 2. Communication and follow up throughout the repair are key Tom was great to deal with and I feel that he was honest with me about the repairs needed and the cost of those repairs. I can recommend Hands on Auto Tech to anyone needing an honest repair facility and Tom as a good guy to deal with.
