I went to this Jiffylube somewhere around in Feb 2026 trying save money & they wounded up now costing me more money than what I was bargaining fore....My engine bay was completely dry prior to my service here, after 1000 miles later I noticed it was soaked with oil....I called & they insisted that I go to their recommended mechanic to verify before they rectify the situation but life happens & I wasn't able too afford seeing their mechanic on time because I had to replace my starter first & although several employees told me to return & they would take accountability for their mistake when I returned 6000 miles later Rob told me (in other words) go kick rocks.....I told Rob, "If you shot me & I didn't make it to the emergency room in time" who fault is it if I died, mine for not making it before surgery or the person who shot me ? The only reason I'm leaving this review is because the manager's attitude was rude & Im glad I didn't go to their recommended mechanic because birds of a feather flock together plus so far all the shops I been to in NJ does is fix somethings improperly, break things that wasn't broken then say it could be multiple issues causing the problem that didn't exist until entering their shop....Its not even about the money because I always pay in full & sometimes upfront thinking guys are as stand up as I am as a paying customer but NO always to my surprise they're sabotages with a smile & its frustrating when you play your part upping the money but all they're just doing is looking for or creating ways to keep their hands in my pocket or pass me around like I'm some cash cow because I own a luxury vehicle......I need the contact to the mechanic task force who investigates these types of injustices because I'm the one paying tens of thousands for their mistakes.....I guess saving money isn't an option in NJ when repairs are often done carelessly.... read more

I've stopped here a few times to get quick oil changes on my vehicle and they have always been very reliable. It's the usual when you stop in here. They tell you everything that your car might need to be serviced and they give you a choice on what you want done. The tech never pushes too hard and makes it clear it's your choice. Unless it's something that's urgent. I never have them service something I can do myself . My last stop I was in and out in about 20 minutes. They changed an air filter and fixed a chip in my windshield that I didn't even know about. They are very convenient. read more

I had an oil change here at this Jiffy Lube store number 714. On April 4. 2025. Two months later I was due for a second oil change on June 5, 2025 the state that I work in Connecticut at a Jiffy Lube there. At that point this Jiffy Lube in Connecticut informed me that they were not able to take the oil filter off the car as it was put on either incorrectly or too tight. Per her notes on my receipt. They was not able to change the filter, but did do an oil change and charge me $108.46 that I was told was with a discount for not replacing the oil filter. Because I had recalls on the car I decided to take the car to Toyota dealership and let them do the recalls and also take a look and replace my oil filter. The dealership called me and told me that they had to replace the housing on it, which cost $188, I had to done per car warranty. I did everything I could to reach out to the store #714. I called on Friday June 20 and was told that the manager would call me on Monday. On Monday, June 24 I spoke to the manager who was pleasant and easy to talk to, but not very easy and understanding my situation. His response was that because the car was repaired by the dealership and they weren't able to look at it to determine what the cause really was that there's nothing that they can do. I asked to speak to the district manager and he did not want to give me his number. I informed him that I would do everything I can to communicate this information to the higher powers to be, and if need be put it on social media, I do not intend to hurt harm or bring this to this location but to bring to the attention just the fax. The manager did ask me one very important question which I agree. It was a good question. His question was why didn't you bring it here instead of taking it to the dealership. Great question! Explain to him that I also drive a 2024 Toyota Tacoma, which he should have in his system. I asked him to look it up. I reminded him that last year when I went to get an oil change at this very same location when they were removing the brush plate off my truck, stripped out the bolts. The question that he didn't ask how do you know we strip those bolts. I'll tell you how same drove the truck to work one day Connecticut. I took it over to Jiffy Lube. I've always gone to for many years even prior to living here in New Jersey it's a trusted location. That's when they were strip and they could take my plate off my truck to do the oil change because they were stripped out in fear of stripping amount making it worse. They asked me to go to the other location where I had it done and that location as you know it was located in 491 Washington Ave. in Belleville New Jersey. Store number is 714. They did fix the truck and I was grateful and thankful but it cost to me. I had to make extra trips back-and-forth. I had to go by the bolts to have them put them in because they didn't have them and Nally that but I was rudely treated by the staff because apparently the general manager who was apparently on site that day made comments that I may have been such a rude or dishonest or disrespectful customer. My assumption only. And that's when I told the manager at this location here yesterday that I would never bring my vehicle back to your store yet if you think that I'm trying to attack you or Store, how would you felt if I reported my first situation and not have anything else to go with it? I think my complaint here is legit my concern is I don't think anybody cares other than those who absolutely accidentally stumble across this message. You know why I say this is because when I informed the store manager that I was going to call the general office or the headquarters he said well you can go right ahead. It will just get reverted back to us so why waste my time calling them I thought then, I said well would you have the general manager called me? He said yes I'll take your number and I'll have him call me. I gave him my number and 24 hours later. I haven't heard from anybody so I'm open. I'm receptive. Tell me what you would do if you or me personally and I'm out $288 plus the time that I have spent trying to figure out how to figure this out. I really don't care if I get the money back what I really care about is why customer service has gone to hell and no one seems to do anything about it one day the people of America, those who help make your companies great rise I hope that change can be come back. read more

Unfortunately after many years of oil changes, JL has let me down and won't be returning. A couple of weeks ago, my boyfriend's windshield wiper broke off in a frost so a week ago, he asked for a replacement and paid for it. It wasn't until a few days ago until it rained that we noticed it was charged for but not replaced so was unsafe to drive. We called them up and said they needed to replace and refund because they made the car unsafe to drive after taking our money. They said all they could do was install them, so we had to drive all the way back. They asked if maybe we told them the wrong year and maybe the put on the wrong blades. No sorry anywhere and no acknowledgement of their mistake. Luckily oil changes are done all over the place, but the offensiveness of their incompetance/ and/or intentional scam or complete indifference to their theft and risk they created left me with no choice but to look for business elsewhere. read more

Brought my car in for a radiator flush and new coolant. Soon after leaving the lot, the "low coolant" warning came on. I assumed it must be a sensor malfunction, since it had just been serviced, and I had been getting intermittent warnings before. But when I checked, the coolant level was indeed more than half a quart low. When I topped it off the warning went away. I've been going to this location for several years but will be rethinking that - if they're careless with the coolant, where else might something be overlooked? I would not normally rate a car place this high, but I truly love this Jiffy Lube. They are always very friendly and very fair. They inspect all parts of your car to make sure it's running smoothly. I believe all of the advice they give is true. If you feel unsure about fixing something, there is absolutely no pressure. I always feel very comfortable there. They have been great during covid by having everyone, including the employees, wear masks both inside and out. They are always very respectful and very kind. I was staying in West Orange on Prospect since I came home to visit for Thanksgiving. They were a distance that I really didn't wish to drive but I needed my oil changed to hit the road to go back to Indy. They seemed to be the only place that wasn't too packed. My wait and oil change along with sealing a window crack took an hour. I was very pleased with the wait time. They also give military discounts and everyone was so friendly. I have been going to this location every month when I was using conventional oil and since switched to synthetic oil which puts me there every other month now. Most of the time, during the week, when I have been there (and a manager was there) there were not many issues. Once there was grease left on my seat, the windows looked like they were wiped with a dirty rag and my tire pressure indicator was on when I pulled out indicating low tire pressure. Once in awhile they would forget to change the cling sticker on the windshield. But today was just totally unacceptable. I arrived at 9:22am. They open at 9:00am so there were some cars ahead of me. Understandable. There were 3 cars in the bays and 3 cars parked outside ahead of me. I was waiting outside and counting the cars that were coming out which were finished with their service. So a total of 6 cars were ahead of me minus the 2 cars that had left. So My car should be next because they do 4 cars at a time, so my car should be the next one pulled inside. When I saw my car was still parked outside (not even in the car line) I went inside to inquire. They were pulling another car inside other than mine. This was at 10:00am. I was told that my car was next. 2 more cars pulled out and my car was still parked in the same spot. When my car was finished, it was pulled out front where it sat for 10 minutes. Were these guys deliberately busting my chops because I questioned the order of vehicles being brought into the garage???? I got out of there at 10:57am. 6 cars ahead of me took more than 1 hour and 30 minutes???? Management needs to be on top of their business. They open at 9:00am with 3 or 4 guys. I saw another employee come in at 9:30am and another one arrive at 10:00am. If you know that you are gonna get bum rushed as soon as you open, why not have your entire staff come in before you open???? And the icing on the cake......my windshield washer fluid wasn't filled. I know this because it was empty when I pulled in and was still empty when I pulled out. I have been to this Belleville location at least 30 times, but never again. I am done. You guys will be one less car busy from now on. Forgot one other thing. About a year and a half ago I was told my battery needed to be replaced. Well, we just went thru a very cold winter and car started up right away every time. If you have a battery issue, it will fail when the very cold weather hits. Never happened. In fact, I have a buddy who owns an auto parts store. He checked my battery with his gizmo and said my battery is fine. At this point I do not trust this Jiffy Lube location. I get synthetic oil changes, I am not sure if in fact I did get synthetic or maybe they put conventional oil in. This location should be called "Iffy Lube" read more

If you do not have a trusted station already, Jiffy Lube is a decent pick to get routine services performed on your car. I have taken two different cars for oil changes, which costs $40. However, the change includes fluid refill and a general inspection of the car. Jiffy Lube also distributes coupons as well. I will typically add-on other minor repairs as well. Replacing a back light cost $10, a new filter cost $20, and it cost $40 to repair a chip in my windshield, although it is possible to have that cost covered by insurance. Overall, the prices here could definitely be cheaper, but you are paying for convenience. The staff is also very nice and does their best to mitigate the really long lines that can build up. read more

used several time with previous car Now Charge $100 dollars for oil change when dealer is $69 for synthetic (required by manufacturer), they broke clip on cabin air box release, did not notify me of this and when i went to change filter to activated carbon, found clip broken and almost impossible to remove filter frame. went to jiffy lube and told "they didnt break it and why wait a month...because its not something you can see." they refused to replace filter frame, called me a liar, then told "prove we broke it" Absolutely rediculous; no one had touched it since they had. Then Woman with black hair was so incredibly nasty and rude. Jiffy lube used to be slogan "15 minute oil change" now its 1 hour to hour and a half, then breaking stuff, not caring. now i looked up you tube and holy moly Jiffy lube is scary, using regular oil when paying for synthetic, damaged engines, voiding car warrenty....I will go to dealer or change myself and know that some hack isnt breaking my car!!! just cant trust ever again! read more

Please stay away!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You have been warned I had a problem with my brakes, and went to Jiffy Lube. I left with the ABS light glowing, which was not on when I went in, as well as several other repairs which needed to be done which were not a problem when I went in. I was told Jiffy Lube could not fix my car, after a total of 4 visits to attempt to get this fixed. They just kept rushing me out. The regional manager refused to do anything for me unless I provided documentation from another mechanic showing their work was not done properly, and I allowed Jiffy Lube to inspect the parts they used, even though they had 4 opportunities to do so, before I gave up and had to go to another mechanic to fix Jiffy Lube's poor work. I was assured the car was "safe" to drive by Jiffy Lube, although it clearly was not. I will never use them again! I am extremely dissatisfied! They do not stand behind their own work! read more

Customer beware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had a check engine light on and I took my vehicle to get service. My vehicle was serviced I was told the spark plug coil was not working properly So they said we would have to replace and that should remove the check engine. Ok so I took the vehicle I drove to my house about half a mile away and once I got home the vehicle was shaking a little. I took the car the next day to the Honda dealership because it got worse and once it got diagnosed they said bad news the coil has melted and there were no spark plug installed. I was SMH and disappointed on Jiffy lube I've been a customer for over 10 years. I spoke to manager and corporate and till this day I haven't gotten no answer and all I wanted was to recover my $165 dollars I've spent. The mechanic that worked on my vehicle was telling me I was a liar and I couldn't even take responsibility for there actions. They lost me and family and friends as customers and I hope you all are careful and thinking twice before you take your vehicle. read more

Once again I asked for NO windshield fluid, and they put it in, AGAIN. And they wiped all of my windows with either an oil or anti-freeze covered rag, I didn't notice until I drove into the sun. My windows were so filthy I thought I was going to die. I would have gone back, but I had to go to the Rangers game in Newark. Saddens me. Don't let my review dissuade you though.
