Jiang Nan is an upscale Chinese cuisine, including dishes like Peking Duck, Xiao Long Bao, and Boiled fish. We had a group of 9. Our server Oya was amazing. She made sure we got the orders correctly and all came out in timely manner. Oya informed our friend that SOMEONE WAS RECORDING HER from other table. We need more people like her. Big shoutout to Oya !!! The food was amazing. We had eggplants, cauliflower, Peking duck, prawn with walnuts, shrimp fried rice, boiled fish (very spicy) and beef with potatoes. All are flavorful and great presentation. I want to hilight the beef dish. It was very tender and melted in my mouth. Small cut, easy to eat. Savory sauce soaked through the meat. I also really love the prawn with walnuts. Very fresh. Hugh prawn. Love every bite of it. However, Xiao long bao was not the best, not much soup. Spinach is a little overcooked. We were there for my hubby's birthday. At the same night, there were 4 other birthday parties. It's definitely a popular choice.

Named for a Revolutionary War general, Charles Lee, who was thought to be the one who would lead the Continental Army, a role that went to George Washington, Fort Lee is a diverse little town in Jersey nestled right across the George Washington Bridge from Manhattan. Main Street, Lemoine Avenue, and the Bergen Boulevard corridor each offer a different style of dining, ranging from quick comfort food to reservation-worthy rooms and a strong selection of Asian cuisine. Translated from the Chinese meaning "South of the River" (Yangtze), we decided on Jiang Nan located on Schlosser Street to celebrate a birthday at a Michelin recognition behind its NY location. A reservation for a party of 9 was easily made via Resy. Upon arrival last night as first-timers, my partner, his family, our friends, and I were greeted by the host and got a table in their dining room with dark tones and perfect lighting evoking a modern, elegant, relaxing, and upscale dining vibe. This isn't one's typical Chinese restaurant. There were no lo mein, spare ribs, or General Tso's here. Instead, its diverse menu of Asian dishes offers everything from traditional Chinese cuisine to modern fusion creations. Ordering is done from several tablets at one's table, which gives the experience a modern, almost futuristic feel. We decided on Chicken & Shrimp Soup Dumplings 金恬柠檬果茶 , Vegetable Spring Rolls 净寨春卷, Seafood Fried Rice 海鲜炒饭, Soy Braised Beef Brisket With Potatoes 小锅牛腩炖土豆, Stir-fried Chinese Eggplant In Spicy Garlic Sauce W. Minced Meat 鱼香茄子, Black Fish Slices Boiled In Szechuan Green Peppercorn Broth 藤椒水煮鱼片, Stir-fried Cauliflower 干鍋花菜, Peking Duck (Half Duck) 北京烤鸭(半只), Stir-fried Water Spinach 空心菜, and Crispy Shrimp with Honey Walnuts for sharing. Every dish looked amazing and tasted even better. The food was flavorful, authentic, and beautifully plated. The price was reasonable and the portion decent. Our server, Oya, was fantastic--welcoming, attentive, and made the whole experience feel effortless. Such a wonderful dining experience, highly recommended!

Peking Duck - Whole - $99

A fancy black concept Chinese restaurant ..... Had a hard time locating exactly where the restaurant was when we entered to park from Palisade Avenue. It is in the basement so better to enter from Schlosser Ave for main entrance. Among all the menu from the tablet, we only ordered the Peking Duck that seemed decent and famous for. The platter came out with the duck nicely carved - mostly breast part only - accompanied with sliced scallion, cucumber & pineapple. While we were wondering where the restaurant of the duck went, we found out from the menu that we can request "soup" with the leg and all the rest. (Which we did). The broth was white - already made with some other spices and legs & Asian cabbages. I wished the skin would be "crispier", but overall, it was good. The whole duck is $99.

Great food. Pretty authentic -- dishes I'd have growing up. Great ambiance. Feels very fancy inside. Service very nice. Would definitely come back.

Pretty good selection of fancy-ish, banquet-style Chinese dishes. I didn't realize this is a sprawling chain with a location in every corner of NYC, from Flushing to LIC, as well as a branch in Boston. We came for Xmas lunch in Fort Lee and the place was thoroughly decked out in decorations, complete with a playlist of the best of Mariah Carey. One of the specialties is the roast duck which, if you order the full version, they'll roll up table-side and prepare for you. It's a whole production. The duck is not bad but I wouldn't get it again; I thought the canned pineapple chunks on the side, along with the usual accoutrements of julienned cucumber and green onion, was an interesting choice. The best part of the duck is actually the soup they make with the bones from your order. Very aromatic, with napa cabbage and tofu, and perfect with rice for a winter day. I much preferred the fish doused in ginger and scallion oil, as well as the crab and tofu in a clay pot. As for veggies, get the spiced cauliflower with pork belly, which was full of flavor for a relatively unassuming dish, instead of the stir-fried pea sprouts, which came in a massive, unappetizing oil-logged pile. Soup dumplings were just okay, you can get much better and cheaper ones only a few blocks away. They do a rewards point program where you can earn points each time you eat here and can use those points to swap out for certain dishes and pay for others but make sure to tell the waiter ahead of time.

Place is nice and servers were quick but the food was just okay. Portions were definitely on the smaller side and some of the items were lacking flavor. Place is good for family style meals but I'm not sure if I'll visit again.

Jiangnan's food and service is wonderful. The whole duck and duck frame was fabulous and it was great to have it served at the table. The Spicy Chicken Wontons were very flavorful. The Pan Fried Wagyu Beef was interesting but a bit too greasy. The tea was extremely flavorful and was very unexpected. It matched the entire meal perfectly. The space at the table was spacious and extremely comfortable. Street parking and lot parking is available. I preferred street parking because it was more convenient for my party.

Been in Jiangnan multiple times in several locations. My wife and I come here for lunch. We order Beef with tomatoes and lemongrass both are delicious and hot. However the other Braised pork ribs and curry chicken are both plain & cold. We immediately detect there is major inconsistency. Manager CoCo immediately return one dished & help to reheat another. Her attitude is excellent and accommodating. 5 star for the service.

Jiang Nan is a chain. We've been to the one in Flushing, Queens as well. My son wanted Peking Duck and Peking Duck he shall have. We got the half order. It was delish and I liked that they served it with chunks of pineapples. It helps cut through the grease from the crispy duck skin. We ordered a Matsutake & Mixed Mushroom soup, a highly prized fragrant fungus that is only found in pine forests making this particular mushroom type rare and expensive to cultivate. I enjoyed it and drank every last sip cause it was hella $$$. Lol. The Pork Meatball with Crab Meat sauce was not my fave but my son loved it. I found the meatball too pink and soft that reminded me of a Lions Head meatball dish. Prices are awfully high but the half Peking Duck at $49.95 was a good deal in my opinion. Shout out to Diana! She was so perky and friendly with an infectious smile.

Overall, a good food place. They are located on the 1st floor of a building. There is a strip mall parking area above ground and in the basement. There is a kiosk on the desk where you can see their menu and order. Since we are new here, a waiter came to show us their popular and recommended dishes. We had soup dumplings, a tofu dish, hot fish soup, and a string bean dish. Some of the items were quite spicy. I wind up getting water to drink to cool down. Service was good. I might go back if someone suggests it, but I would not choose this as one of my regular places. You can try to see if you like it. From reviews, it seems to be a popular place. The place was dark; I wish it were better lit, but it was a nice place to sit.

When my kid wants Peking Duck, I'm stuck and have to go here as there's no other restaurants around with it. Upon looking at the menu, I'm just at awe at how expensive the dishes are. The place was nice, modern and moderately quiet. The dishes that we ordered came out warm to cool. The rice was too hard. Rather disappointed in that. Suitable for fried rice the next day though. The fish is my favorite, but the price for it is outrageous. It was the only thing that was warm, due to the tea light candle underneath. We ordered a full Peking Duck. Not sure why another table got a show, and we didn't. The flame thrower they used could have been helpful to warm up the duck some more. Nevertheless, pancakes were super thin, which is nice. Not sure why there were canned pineapples and sugar. Will I be back? Probably, but reluctant...

The food looked amazing and the ambiance was very nice, but I'm afraid it just wasn't for me! Some dishes were just too salty or simply too sweet, and I found myself having difficulty enjoying this somewhat challenging meal... I would give it a try, but definitely not my thing.

Heard of this place opening in Jersey so came over to try on a weekend lunch. We were greeted at entry and brought to our table right away. Service was friendly though perhaps a few more check in a would have been nice. Had to wait for more water at times but all in all would say service was good. Overall we did enjoy everything we ordered. We tried to Peking Duck and also string beans, egg plant, and fried rice. Favorites were the eggplant and obviously the Peking duck was really good. We ordered the full duck and got a little presentation which was a nice touch. Clean modern style restaurant with tablet ordering which we found convenient. I'd say worth trying!

The dry pot here is similar to others, where you serve yourself from a raw bar, the ingredients are weighed, and they cook it for you to the spice level of your liking. I don't like that noodles are charged separately from the weight of the other ingredients (vegetables, fish cakes, meat, etc.) Because of this, i almost opted to order one of the dakgalbi dishes on the menu for Hong Chun Cheon. However, the prices listed on the menu are for one serving. When i tried to order, the lady at the counter explained I had to order two order minimum. So the real price for one order of cheese dakgalbi is $51.90, not $25.95. This was annoying because I was the only person who wanted dakgalbi, which mean i ended up not getting it. I did get my dry pot though. They make it spicy just like everyone else. At about $16 per pound with separate charges for noodles, it's slightly more expensive than other dry pot restaurants in the area. I eventually wanna come back for the dakgalbi, but I'm gonna need to make sure i have a partner beforehand.

If…read moreyou're getting mala, you can self-serve any ingredients you'd like - malatang was cheaper ($14.95/lb) than the dry pot version ($16.95/lb). There aren't too many options but still ample to make a delicious mala dish. I got the Malatang with the Medium level which was the best for me, although I was sniffling a bit towards the end. I think Mild is also a great option, as it was still flavorful with a slight heat. We had a bit of a wait on Friday night as expected but luckily, upon being seated it's just a matter of waiting for the kitchen to prepare your dish. They offered us complimentary sweet potato tempura on the house which helped curb our hunger in the meantime. There are only three people working front of house so please be patient!

The dining room was empty when we rocked up on a weekday late afternoon, and it was nice to sit at a table by the window for a street view. I love how theirs comes with loads of veggies, even as I question the use of green beans which is a first for me (to see them in sweet and sour pork). And while it was distracting and would rather have the dish without the beans, the star of the fish, the pork, was just right and we gobbled it up. I hope they stay open for a long time.
