I have Delta Dental Premier and my exam and x-rays are covered 100% when I use a network provider…read more They are a network provider and they ran my insurance and it said I owed 0 and now I'm getting a bill trying to tell me I owe the difference of $98! For a cleaning with x-rays!!!! When I got my exam and cleaning the dental tech was rude, had to leave the room about 6 times to get stuff she forgot, and she kept pushing down on the side of my mouth where the water thing was and water kept pouring out of my mouth. Then during my exam they kept pushing for me to get a tooth pulled and an implant or a bridge for a fee of $5,000 - $7,000. They didn't offer me any other treatments like bonding or a cap. I had scheduled an appt to have my tooth removed but thank goodness I didn't have it done because when I went back into my account to check what my insurance would cover it said that I had a waiting period of 12 months before I could get any major dental covered. I also had a whitening treatment done and it was horrible. whatever they put in my mouth kept shocking me and when they went in and pulled the stuff out that was supposed to protect my gums it was so stuck to my gums that it wouldn't hardly come out. The girl gave me a kit to take home to use and it was missing the instructions on how to use it. She told me I could just Google it. There were no specific instructions online and I called them and they couldn't tell me how to use it. So I ended up doing a dispute on my credit card to get the money back that I had to pay in advance since I didn't get my tooth pulled and NOW, 9 months later is when they send me a bill saying I owe them $98!!!!! I feel like they are billing me the part my dental insurance didn't pay to be vindictive because I filled a dispute. I 100% do not recommend going to this place.

Made an appointment for my son, explaining what he needed (emergency tooth extraction). I was told…read morethat he could come in that day and they would be able to look at it and see what needed to be done, but would be able to complete the extraction. Upon his arrival, they disregarded the main issue and advised that he needed to come back for a cleaning because the dentist was only in once a month for an extraction. My son was never able to get in for the extraction, paid for the cleaning up front and then keeps receiving outrageous bills for no service performed. The appt for the actual dentist was never made (though they had already told him that it would cost him $800 up front to extract). Everything that was owed for the cleaning was paid up front, out-of-pocket as they stated they were out of network for his insurance. This location is full of the run-arounds and they are not very truthful initially with regards to what they can/cannot do and when. I would have given 0/5 if I had been able to do so.

I went in to see Dr. Eades. I had two appointments here. The first was a consultation to discuss…read morewhat needed done, and the second was for the procedure itself. For my first appointment, I went in and spoke with them and they looked at my tooth and some images and we agreed on a root canal with local anesthetic. When I checked out with the front desk after my consult, they said they weren't sure if my insurance would cover the cost and they would let me know. They said that out of pocket, it would cost around $700ish. Later that afternoon, I received a call telling me that my insurance went through. So, for my second appointment, I checked in at the front desk and was asked to pay for my procedure in advance - I was asked to pay around $150, and I assumed that was the remaining cost after my insurance. Weird that I was asked to pay BEFORE the procedure, but whatever. During the procedure, I was injected with quite a bit of anesthetic under my top lip. Then, without speaking to me or asking if I was fully numb, the dentist came in and began drilling on my tooth. After I screamed from the pain, he injected MORE anesthetic in my lip. He continued drilling and I screamed again because I could still feel the drill. At that point I asked if he could numb the backside of my tooth/roof of my mouth. He obliged and without waiting, continued drilling. I STILL felt it. He then decided to inject anesthetic directly into the nerve itself which was excruciatingly painful, but I was willing if it meant I wasn't going to keep feeling him drilling into my tooth. He immediately continued drilling after injecting the nerve, and he was able to work for maybe a minute before he reached a spot where I could feel again. At this point, he was scraping the pulp/nerve out and I could feel EVERY part of the procedure. At no point did the dentist ask if I wanted to continue, or make the decision to halt the procedure because of how severe the pain was. I think my favorite part was when the dentist turned on a torch and heated his metal instrument and stuck it inside the socket, and not only did I get to smell my own flesh burn, but I got to FEEL it too. So, I left what was easily the most traumatic dentist appointment I've ever had. I'm now one month post-op and am absolutely petrified of seeing another dentist and I have lasting nerve damage in my lip from the sheer volume of anesthetic they injected into the same spot (with no increased effect). I can't smile or kiss my boyfriend now without pain and being reminded of this horrific experience. Oh, and I was mailed a bill for $300+ when nobody communicated with me at ALL regarding any costs aside from my first estimate when I was quoted an out-of-pocket cost of ~$700, and my second visit after I was told my insurance would be accepted and I was asked to pay ~$150. Suffice to say, I don't feel responsible for this bill. Not after that experience and definitely not after the lack of communication and clarity around the costs associated with the procedure.
