The contract I signed specifically mentioned 'reinstall new flooring.' However, after speaking with…read morethe owner, I was informed that the quote they gave was for installing new subflooring--even though they reused the same subfloor and damaged the laminate. When I expressed my dissatisfaction and shared pictures of the damage, the owner seemed to sympathize and sent me this message: 'No problem, I will fix things when I get back. Sometimes it can be confusing, but I have no issues replacing 3 pieces as seen. I think they did pretty good with the flooring that was and is older style. You he and forever can be tricky, but just lmk I can figure things out!' Despite this message, over a week has passed, and I still have no updates or plans on when they will follow through. To make matters worse, it became clear that their quotes don't guarantee your home will look better than before they start the job--a shocking realization. After leaving an honest review reflecting my experience, I finally got a response: 'Appreciate the 2 stars, even though we dominated and did everything perfect except 2 pieces of flooring. Have a blessed and safe day, but please ensure you're more accurate.' This response was not only unprofessional but dismissive of my concerns. This situation could have easily been resolved and my review improved with proper communication and follow-through, but the customer service was nonexistent. They advertise a 5-year parts and labor warranty, but based on this experience, it feels more like a 'tail light warranty'--good only until they're out of sight. Very disappointing. UPDATE: the owner responded with "Now 1 star!! Hahaha you know it shows you changing things right!! It's sad how you are, your the type that hide all the perfection thay was done, because someone chipped a piece of flooring in 1 piece and your demanding all new flooring!! Thanks for the love!! Good energy always!! God bless and stay safe" obviously this company isn't professional I never wanted a new floor I just wanted what was damaged fixed and was more than happy when they offered to come and fix the damaged pieces but after no follow up a week later left a bad review and he just spiraled from there. These guys only like you if you've got good things to say and do not know how to take constructive criticism. As for the warranty I would find work elsewhere, so many of these contractors pop in and out and with the treatment I've received I don't expect them to be in business in 5 years.

Our roof looks great. I'm very happy with the color. I really wanted dark green. The one I wanted…read morewas not in stock so he ordered some shingles from a different company. It was the perfect color. The owner is great. He is super nice and very friendly. He even listened to me rattle on about my upcoming trip to Idaho. I told him about wanting to move my bird feeders to the back of the house and asked if he could put in the hooks for me. He did this at no extra charge. Also they needed to either cut back or remove two of our bushes that were touching the roof. I think they are ugly so I asked to have them removed. They not only removed the two needed but also two in the back of the house at no extra charge. The base of the tree was too hard to remove they came the next work day to cut it out with a chainsaw. The front of the house looks so much better. We noticed that a hatchet that was on the riding lawn mower went missing. I asked about it. Their first language was not English so I'm not sure if it was communication or not. But one said that it was in the back yard. I looked again along with my husband and son and couldn't find it. Later it was placed in our grill. I'm glad it was put back. They walked in our flower garden and trampled a few of the flowers. I'm pretty sure a few will be killed off but they will grow back next year so not too much of a problem. They did a great job of cleaning up all the shingles. I saw the guy using the magnet to get all the nails but one was left in plain sight in our driveway where my husband parks. He could have gotten a flat if he didn't see it. The roof looks great. I highly recommend ACPP.

We sold our custom built home in Georgia in 2020 and were looking for a custom home builder in the…read moreAttica, Indiana area. Mr. Schrader came highly recommended by a former custom home builder in that area. Upon reviewing the Steve Schrader website I was very pleased to see he was a Christian businessman. That "sealed the deal" for us. We brought the home plan idea with us and Mr. Schrader had it tweaked by his architect. Two items we stressed at the first meeting were that we wanted a home without any steps, meaning coming into the home. We also stressed that we wanted a whole house generator as the one we had in Georgia was a partial home generator. We also questioned him about the pricing, his reply was that he had great suppliers who would honor the prices they had quoted him. Wrong - several thousands of dollars in overages were presented to us for payment. The problems were just beginning. If I listed each and every item we brought to Mr. Schrader's attention it would be an extremely long review. Suffice it to say that there were 42, of which there was at least one that would be considered to be against code. That being - the brick extended over the brick ledge. Two other major concerns were approximately six (6) feet of hvac duct was not hooked up and that several feet of spray foam insulation was missing in that same area. When we had brought to the attention of Mr. Schrader how cold that room was, he did his usual, made excuses. His explanation was that we weren't used to the cold Indiana weather yet and that the room did extend past the main section of the home! Another serious issue was that the "whole house" generator was definitely not that. Mr. Schrader's excuse for that one was that we hadn't told him we wanted a whole house one. We had to pay to have a professional generator installation team come out and rewire the unit. During a rain storm, we heard banging outside our master bedroom. The cause, Hardy board siding which had not been nailed to the home! Each and every time we brought something to Mr. Schrader's attention, there was either an excuse or we were told that was the way it was supposed to be. He kept stressing that he only hired the best people. Well even the best people need to be supervised. His agreement had been that he would the the onsite general contractor. When he did make his infrequent visits, all he did was make a quick walk around, never saying anything to his subs. And as for the site being cleaned each evening by his son, never happened. My husband and I were the ones cleaning the area, picking up a ton of wasted material out of the dumpster. Oh, and guess how many steps you have to climb no matter which entrance to the home you use - 3. He took it upon himself (didn't discuss it with us) to raise the house because he thought it would look better with the house to our west! If you're wondering how many issues we had when we built our custom home in Georgia, the number was 5 and that home was almost twice as large as the one built by Mr. Schrader. I hate to put out a bad review for anyone, but after the experience we had, I felt obligated to future home owners to caution them.
