Jose addressed all my concerns appropriately. I am 100% satisfied with the workmanship.

Fast response and did a great job removing my old glued wood floors. If you've ever removed glued wood floors before then you know how hard it can be and Jose and his son got the job done in 1 day (scraped the glue also). Was super happy he was also able to get me in last minute next day on a Saturday! Highly recommend JG Floor guys. read more

I was so pleased with how helpful the JG team was in selecting the best products for the intended use of the space. Not only does it look beautiful, but they did such a terrific job installing and cleaning up. It went smoothly and was done faster than anticipated since the materials were in stock. Jack and Tommy get an A+ from us. I highly recommend them for all your flooring needs. read more

Jose and his crew did an excellent job. I have an older home with oak floors that needed one bedroom refinished to match the rest of the house. The job was to sand, fill and finish with three coats of oil based polyurethane. Jose answered all concerns with the job and finished the project on time during a very busy season. read more

So far in gettiing my estimate everything's been great. I contacted 4 different companies. And JG FLOOR GUYS has been the quickest responding and on top of answering questions and meeting me to give estimates. read more

Would give zero stars if possible. They installed travertine floors for me in 2018 and did a horrible job. There were several broken tiles because they didn't prepare the foundation properly to prevent cracking. They charged extra to bullnose the edge of the tile that hung over our step down living areas. They did it with a grinder and it looked terrible. I ended up having to hire another contractor to come out and replace the broken tiles and about 12 tiles that were not even close to level. They had to grind all the floor tiles to get the lippage between the tiles flatter. It cost $2000 for these repairs. When I mentioned it to the owner of this company, he stated that he would not pay for the repairs. I looked up his contractors license and discovered that he did not have a license to install tile. He only agreed to pay me after I submitted a negative review with pictures of his subpar work and threaten to file a complaint with the contractors board. As part of our agreement, I agreed to take down my negative reviews and he agreed to remove all mentions about tile work in his business advertising. He did remove the tile work mentions, but has since placed them back in his listings on Yelp and Facebook. Since he violated our agreement, I am posting this review on this site and will be posting another on his Facebook listing. In addition, I will be sending screenshots that I took today of both sites that show that he has listed a service that he is not licensed to perform to the contractors board. While I am at it, I will send a complaint to the Better Business Bureau to let them know that the owner is advertising for services that he is not licensed or competent to provide. I cannot attest to the quality of other services this company provides but would highly recommend anyone from using them to install tile. read more

I am strongly believe 50% out of ggese reviews are from his family members. I had the service with GJ flooring guy last year. Messed up my floor and tried to walk away like nothing was happended. He can do simple floorings but if you have a big project and want it to last for many years please go find others. Dont let his quote to fool you Like me. Like cheap quote and guess what living with ugly floor. 2) Be aware - you must make sure his LIC number is still active 3) very unprofessional 4) will not responsible his work after he is done. If you like cheap quote cheap work then Yeah Go for it. read more

They did an amazing job restoring our 1950's hardwood. Jose was patient, giving me time to decide on which stain I would like. He provided invaluable information on what type of stain to pick. Very hard working and even was welling to resend and stain one of our rooms that ended up getting scratched. Really appreciate his dedication and passion. read more

They did a great job in my master bedroom. I'm going to get them again when I redo my house.

Couldn't be more pleased. Jose suggested I restore hardwood instead of laminate (didn't even know that is what was under the carpet!) and it came out beautifully. The pricing was very reasonable and they finished right on time. Love the end results!!! Great experience all together. read more

Touch base with Jose to set a appointment , was friendly and willing. He said he would text me to set a appointment, which he did at 9pm. I quickly responded and he never got back to me . Texted him the next day , no response . Called him later that afternoon , pushed straight to voicemail . Update , just spoke to Jose and apparently it was a simple mix-up . Appointment on for tomorrow ! I appreciate the follow thru Jose ! read more

Hired JG floor guys to repair a middle portion of LVP. The previous installer could not make the floor snap together and said the only way it would work would be to repair the entire floor to nearest wall. JG made the impossible possible. Not only did they solve the problem, but they did the entire job before lunch. Reasonable prices. Let JG floor guys be your "flooring guy". read more

Jose and is crew was great! They gave us a quote and 6 months later I decided to install the floors. And like he said, he would honor the quote. We set a date, they showed up on time. Great Job. Needed new kitchen and hallway flooring and decided to go for hardwood. Considering there were layers of old flooring-wood subfloor, aggregated rock flooring, almost 2 inches of concrete, on top of that was plywood with glue downed engineered hardwood on top of that. Pictures will be uploaded. It was incredible. All this demo just after we had the house remodeled (previous contractors damaged our floors) with really minimum damage and we're told this might happen. But in the end couldn't be happier with Jose and the work it took to install these beautiful hardwood floors (pictures will be uploaded). Thank you Jose. read more

Great work, fair price. Jose was knowledgeable and made good recommendations in regards to our wood floors. We ended up replacing the floors with Pergo which saved us money and turned out great. We are very happy with the results. Give him a call!! read more

Jose replaced the floors in 4 bedrooms of our house to match the flooring in the rest of the house. We got an engineered hardwood, and he was able to install pretty quickly and we are happy with the results. He was able to "lace" it together with the old flooring to make it look continuous, which several other flooring people told me they would not be able to do, so that was a plus. But, some of it is not exactly even with the rest of the flooring, which could just be because it is hard to make new floors and old floors the same level and we can live with it. The only other problem was that we got the amount of flooring he told us to get after he measured (we actually got even a little more than that), and it still was not enough and we had to order more flooring again, and this delayed the completion of the project. In addition, after ordering the extra flooring, we now have an entire extra box of flooring that was not used. The delay was ok with us, but of course an inconvenience still. Jose is very nice and professional though, and we would work with him again. read more

Jose did an outstanding job replacing a carpet with beautiful high-end wood laminate. The job was flawless and everyone raves about how good the floor looks. Jose was very easy to work with, he went out of his way to help me find the right product. I have already recommended him to friends and to my real estate agent. He worked on time and on budget. Probably one of the most honest contractors I have ever worked with. read more

I only write reviews when I am impressed with a company. JG Floor Guys were excellent, professional and responsive in installing my new vinyl flooring in Oakhurst. The bid was reasonable, detailed and thorough. Jose G. answered all my questions completely and had excellent suggestions (I followed EVERY suggestion, he was right). When I called to schedule service the crew arrived when they said they would and worked all day until the job was done. This was a relatively significant job of removing old carpeting, old laminate, a large amount of slate tile and other porcelain tile, moving major appliances, and installing 700 sq. feet of Vinyl Pro Planking. It was completed in three days. I requested changes during the project and the price changes were very fair. The look of the installation was excellent. My wife was also impressed. The real test came when after a few days I noticed a problem in one small portion of the install. I left a message for Jose G. and he contacted me within minutes to apologize, return within a day to inspect and had his installer out the following day to correct the issue. There are good and bad floor installers out there. The good ones do a good job and are responsive. The excellent ones do a great job at a fair price and are responsive and stand behind their work. JG Flooring does just that. I will always use them in the future. read more

So Glad I was able to hire this wonderful company My floors are beautiful now they brought the 1954 red oak back to wonderful they are professional personable the price is right the BEST I say thank you read more

Junior is the best floor guy you can hire. We first hired him to install a partial hardwood floor in our living room. We wanted to get rid of the carpeting. He did a fantastic job of matching the old hardwood and we are very happy with the results. It actually made the room look larger! Then, we hired him to install laminate flooring in two of our bedrooms. We didn't want hardwood because of the wear and tear with kids, pets, etc. We love the low maintenance that laminate offers. Junior is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to floors and has lots of good suggestions about different colors and types of flooring to fit your budget. We will never hire anyone but him and his team to install our floors. As a side note, unbeknownst to us, we hired his sister a few years ago to refinish our floors and she did a beautiful job! It must run in the family! If you are looking for friendly, trustworthy, experienced, dependable floor experts, JG Floor Guys is your best bet. read more

Jose is fantastic. He is conscientious, honest and clearly knows his floors. Immediately he was able to recognize that our floors could not be refinished when others tried to convince us -wrongly- that they could be. Thank you Jose! read more

I had Jose install laminate throughout my entire house (except for kitchen and bathrooms). He and his apprentice did a great job and only took 2 days. These guys have great work ethics. They show up on time, work hard, and clean up after themselves. They even stayed late to clean up all the little smudges on the floors and made sure we were happy. On top of that, they are super nice guys. I highly recommend them and am happy with the results. I will be posting pictures soon. read more

Where can I start ?! So many good things to say JG Floor Guys is extremely professional and a master at their profession! Junior is very courteous and I love that it's a company with a family atmosphere. Junior was very patient as I changed my mind about the flooring not once but twice! After years covered by an unvacuumed carpet and abused by cats (and their owners, who added a few stains of their own!), our hardwood floor looked like it would have to be covered with tile or completely removed and replaced. Our floor needed serious attention; we could only imagine the hard work required to make it presentable. Fortunately, we found JG Floors Guys of Madera. They arrived precisely on time for a site visit, patiently answered all of our questions, provided us with several clear options, and quickly gave us a detailed estimate. After weighing our options and visiting with several other firms, we concluded that JG was the right fit for our needs and our budget. All of the companies we interviewed seemed knowledgeable and experienced. But we doubt that they could have done the type of backbreaking work in as little time as it took Jose and his crew. Yes, they were efficient and hard working. And yes they really care about producing a beautiful final product. And yes, our floor looks amazing. JG Floor Guys really wanted our business, and it is clear that they value their reputation. We highly recommend this company. read more

Jose redid the flooring for my entire 1st floor (kitchen, living and bathroom). From start to end, Jose is super responsive to all my requests and did an excellent job. I ordered the flooring at Home Depot and we went and picked it up for me. A month after the installation, we had a minor toilet leak that stained the flooring in the bathroom, Jose went out and fixed the problem for me. Not only does he do solid quality work he also has great communication skill! For any future flooring needs, I will definitely contact Jose again. read more
