I cannot say enough amazing things about the woman who altered my wedding dress. After I purchased…read moremy dress, I found out I would be 7 months pregnant by the time of the wedding and I truly thought my dream dress was out of the question. But she worked absolute magic. Not only was she incredibly skilled, but she was also timely, professional, and so reassuring throughout the entire process. She transformed my dress in a way that fit perfectly, looked stunning, and still kept everything I originally fell in love with. If it weren't for her, I genuinely would not have been able to wear my dream dress on my wedding day. Her prices are also very reasonable and absolutely worth the quality of her work, which made the entire experience even better.

I do not recommend Jennie Sazhneva's services at all to anyone for any reason -unless you want a…read moredress that doesn't fit, poor customer service, and to be blamed for the poorly fitting dress with less than 8 weeks left until your wedding. Jennie let me leave her business with an altered dress that she wouldn't & couldn't zip up all the way. Originally the dress just needed to be taken in a little bit. It was taken in way too much. She didn't even offer to let it out at that point or to schedule a follow up appointment. When I tried on my dress again about a week after picking it up from alterations, my mom could barely zip it up. The bodice was too tight and uncomfortable. The fabric across the bodice was visibly strained and stretching. When buttoned, the zipper was clearly visible in the back. The bust did not fit properly at all. Before alterations, the bust was very modest and elegant. After alterations, the bodice was so tight that my bust was spilling out of the top. I looked like was wearing a dress a size and a half too small. I brought these concerns to Jennie and included pictures (pictures not included with this review, as my wedding is next month). I wanted to meet with Jennie for corrective alterations. However, Jennie's customer service was unsatisfactory from the moment I messaged her that the dress didn't fit. She insisted repeatedly that it was my sodium intake, that I was too close to my cycle, and that my measurements have changed. She insisted repeatedly that there was no way she could've made a mistake. She wanted to compare my current measurements to the ones from the bridal shop when I bought the dress. I paid hundreds of dollars plus a tip for her services to walk away with a dress that didn't fit properly, feeling uncomfortable, and feeling responsible for the issues I was facing. Jennie initially offered a partial refund only to walk it back 10 days later. Jennie at that point chose to clarify her partial refund was contingent on my returning to her for her services, but as I found a new seamstress to correct Jennie's work, that she would not be refunding me. I insisted, because again I spent hundreds of dollars and tipped her for unsatisfactory service. So far I have only been refunded my tip. I have been in communication with the bridal shop that initially recommended her regarding these issues, as I do not want another person to have a similar experience to mine approaching their wedding day.

I'm short and heavy, but still need clothes that fit. Recently needed a fishing bib rain suit…read more To purchase one that will fit around my waist and short enough is impossible. So, I purchased one which I knew would have to be shortened to be wearable. Took it to "Altered". The material is heavy with an inner and outer layer of fabric. The pant legs were complete with Velcro and pant leg zippers which would also have to be shortened. Altered, did an outstanding job of shortening this rain suit at a price which I considered to be more than fair. Completely happy. Already, planning on taking in more items to have shortened.
