Jet blue is horrible at accommodating their customers. Do not fly with them. Worst experience traveling with jet blue.

HAL and AS are still doing their best to merge flights, airport gates, luggage issues, check-in and all those issues that may have been different before the merger. Let's just start by saying you must be PATIENT, with no expectations of how it "used to be." Tried to use my miles for the round trip flight from Oahu to PS and the app said no flights available. When I switched to dollars then all the flights popped up. Had to catch HAL from Oahu and transfer to AS in Seattle. The gates are NOT CLOSE TOGETHER YET (this is June 2025) so be prepared to find the tram subway to take you to an entirely different terminal. I had to take two to get there. Luckily I made my connecting flight on time, but if they had changed it I would have been in deep kim-chi. Then from AS gate to fly to Palm Springs - we boarded a tiny aircraft maybe 75 seats was a full load. The upper cabinets are smaller than HAL so if your carryon is slightly larger than make sure it can maneuver itself into the space. I saw hard cases being scratched while being pulled out. The seats are not as comfy as HAL- even the extra comfort seats. And they do NOT offer free wi-fi like HAL. Since it was a short flight we had a quick beverage service- only apple juice or water (no coffee or tea) offered and a snack pack of pretzels which flight attendant kept telling each row it is spicy so be careful. No tv screens in front of you either, so not sure if this is only because it's a smaller plane for the shorter flights. No complimentary magazine like HAL has either. Flight attendants were very professional and knew their stuff. Pilots communicated well and perfect take off and landing. It was a good first experience but hoping they get their gates closer together soon. I would suggest checking online the airport map you're heading to for a recon how far away it could be for your connecting flights.

As it turned out if you booked thru a site like Orbitz Alaska's policy is to charge a $250 cancellation fee fee. Typical BS that shows they really don't care and are willing to give the middle finger to customers.

I'll be honest, my history with Southwest hasn't exactly been great. I'd say about half the time I've flown them, something has gone sideways. So my expectations were not high. But this time? Completely different story. Let's start with the check-in experience at the Palm Springs airport, because it deserves its own moment. It is hands down the best Southwest check-in experience I've ever had. It's a breeze, it's actually enjoyable, and it has that very specific Palm Springs vibe that you just don't get anywhere else. It doesn't feel chaotic or stressful like most airport terminals. It feels light, easy, almost... fun. You'll see what I mean when you go through it. The flight itself left on time. Not "almost" on time. Actually on time. People boarded, got into their seats, and somehow managed to get their carry-ons into the overhead bins in what felt like record speed. I was sitting there thinking... what is happening right now? This is not the Southwest I'm used to. Now, I did get stuck in a pretty bad seat right next to the bathrooms, which is never ideal. But since it was such a short flight, the discomfort didn't drag on forever, which made it manageable. The real win here was the luggage situation. I was able to get off the plane and grab my duffel bags quickly with zero issues. No drama, no surprises, no one suddenly deciding my bags don't meet some random requirement. And that alone made one thing very clear: every single problem I had with my luggage on my previous trip was completely induced by Frontier. The people in my row were decent, the process was smooth, and for once, everything just... worked. I never thought I'd say this, but I have a whole new appreciation for Southwest after my tramatizing experience with Frontier Airlines ( Never Again ! )

I asked if he could work some magic and try to get me home earlier, he looked at various flights and gave me the truth. My original flight would be earlier if not the same landing time as the flights he was looking at. He was so sweet, I didn't get upset at the fact that I didn't get to go home earlier. I know he put in his best efforts and did what he could for me and ultimately, finding flights to Sacramento is not the easiest thing! I left not bummed out at all because Eddie's customer service was top of the line and he let me go gently. That kind of grace goes a long way, especially during a travel day. Thank you, Eddie! I appreciated your time and energy that Sunday afternoon.

I then reached out to Executive Solutions, and Michael looked into it. He told me the transaction was voided and would fall off. I waited. It didn't. On June 2, I began another route with Virgil, with Executive Solutions, who has been able to get the hotel and rental car refunded, but he's still unable to get the airfare refunded and tells me he's waiting for a different department to reply to his emails.
