It is a generously sized space with a lot of room to move around and convenient carts for larger loads (or if you're just lazy, like me!). There is a decent variety of machines to use. However, the machines have a bit of a smell. I have returned home with my clothes smelling unclean a few times. Today. It seemed a long shot, but I was having a laundry emergency, and I swear, in like two minutes I got a real live response, from a PERSON, who assured me that yes indeed, they were open. It was a Christmas miracle, I'm still talking about it and that was like 8 months ago. I don't know how this place exists in the real world and isn't just a figment of idealism and convenience, but it's there. The dryers (although more reasonably priced than the washers) also seem a bit weak/inefficient compared to other commercial dryers I've used, so you end up needing to be there forever and keep adding more change. The Incident: A dryer machine had finished its cycle over an hour prior, with clothing still inside. I asked another customer if it was her load; she said no. Following my long-standing habit--and because every previous employee here had told me it was acceptable--I removed the clothes so I could use the machine. Upon returning later, an employee named Cookie aggressively approached me. She initiated the interaction with an extremely hostile and nasty attitude, accusing me of lacking "common courtesy." I calmly explained that my action was not intentional but simply habit, based on past permissions from staff. Escalation and Unprofessional Conduct: Cookie's Aggression:** Instead of de‑escalating, Cookie became more confrontational, insisting on arguing for roughly 20 minutes just to "get the last word." Disrespect to a Customer:** When I noticed another person waiting at the counter and politely pointed it out, Cookie told me to "shut up and mind my business," adding that I shouldn't tell her how to do her job. I typically use a local laundromat (including laundry room of Waterford) to wash my clothes, but the heavy snow this season and my shifting job schedule made it really challenging to get everythin done this month. Staff were clear and friendly in helping me schedule the service, and my three weeks worth of laundry was done in a day! With my socks matched! I am incredibly grateful. Winter 2026 rate was $1.50 a pound, plus tax and tip. I'll mostly stick to doing my own and use this as a special-circumstances plan, but the cost was very reasonable considering the work and professionalism of what the team did. Thank you!

Honestly there are signs in there written on a ripped up cardboard box. There are a good amount of washers of standard or large sizes as well as dryers. You can past the time staring at the wall or washing the laundry swish around. I gotta say it doesn't exude the vibe where I'd feel comfortable leaving my laundry there while it washes and maybe run an errand around the corner. But if you need something in the area, as I said, you can wash a little load of close for $3.50 and dry the stuff up right quick in the super dryer. And you probably could take a walk around the block - or a quick drive - to grab a latte at Starbucks . . . I'm sure no one is interested in stealing your laundry. Just get back on time to get then out and move things along.

It looks like it is set up well to use the machines and they have those wire baskets on wheeled so you can move your laundry from the washer to the dryer. Wash dry fold is now $1.45 a pound (as of July 1, 2024). The people do wonderful job and are very responsive and easy to work with.
