She goes out of her way to make sure that you are well taken care of. Everyone we encountered there was blown away by her sweet, sincere, caring hospitality. The bedroom was perfect for us and Amparo is MILITANT about cleanliness!! She just attacked the bathrooms with bleach!! She also went out of her way to recommend the best and cheapest parking there as well as the most amazing Paella and Sangria since we've been in Spain! Everyone is so nice and the facilities are clean and wonderful! It is my first time in a hostel, and I think this is the way to go! You have to check in by 10 pm/22:00 and check out is 11:00 the day you leave, but they are rally flexible about that. The bed was so comfortable, and everyone was really quiet on a Friday night. I didn't really hear anyone coming and going. The only thing is that you have to know the address because the name is only listed on the little buzzer next to the door. But it is number 12 on the street. You get your own keys and obviously can come and go as you please.

Just a short walk from the beach and surrounded by local eatery's, this gem of hotel is located at the more "local" end of the bay with a easy 25 minute walk from the city center. We were impressed with the attention to detail by staff and especially the bartender Lina at the restaurant. The workout room is large but you do have to walk outside to get to it. The room itself had amazing pillows and a wonderful rain shower and soaking tub with a separate room for the toilet. It also had duo sinks. If you're looking for a luxury stay in a quite part of town and still near the beach then you have found your spot.

The very contemporary hotel looked like it attracted quite a few business travelers and tour groups because the front desk was constantly grilled by endless interrogations. At $167 per night, our double superior room was a little more premium priced than we were hoping, but there's no denying that this city is a top tourist destination for vacationing Europeans. The Barcelo Costa Vasca represented to me the best price performance value of them all. This is a large, modern hotel that resembles large chains in the USA. If that is what you like,…read morethis hotel is for you. It is a hike to the Concha and the Parte Viejo. Taxi is about 8 euro each way. You can definitely walk, but it about 20-30 minutes. There are no restaurants, shops or markets nearby either. If you really want to explore San Sebastian, I would suggest lodging closer to the Concha. However, if you are traveling with a family or leave group, this will be better for you. If you are a couple, single it small group, spend the extra money and stay closer. You will save money on taxis and time. THE WIFI SUCKS!! Hard to believe that a hotel like this does not have better Wi-Fi. If breakfast is not include in your rate, it is 21 euro per person for buffet only option.
