It is pointless coming to stay here unless you have a car. Or perhaps you like waiting for buses (2 per hour until about 6 pm, then nothing) or trudging by foot up 5-6 kms of (steep) winding hill roads to get here. The area around is mostly residential and there is nothing much to do, although there are a few ordinary restaurants not too far away (but they close early). The rooms are sterile, ordinary, reasonably clean and more expensive than many hotels in the town centre, and some people stay here as a penance for booking too late for San Sebastian (like me).
The restaurant in the hotel serves rubbish at ridiculous prices and the only nice thing about the place is that the place appears to be well looked after in general. Other than that, don't bother coming here unless you have no other choice.
PS. I was really puzzled why Jorge70 gave this place such a good review until I checked out his other reviews and he gave 5 stars for every place he (allegedly) goes to. And if you believed his reviews, he must be staying at a different hotel every night! read more
