Jessica Lutz is a nationally recognized photographer based in West Texas. She photographs throughout the Big Bend region including Marfa, Marathon, Alpine, Terlingua and along the Borderlands. Her work has appeared in New York Times, Texas Monthly, Texas Architect among other publications. She brings her documentary style to all her projects from editorial and film to weddings and events. She has been called a "shadow caster" for her ability to capture light and the subtle moment. She sees each project as a story. In addition to photography, she works in film, from casting and location scouting to film production.
History
Established in 2011.
Native Texan Jessica Lutz was drawn back to the vast horizons and desolate spaces of West Texas after 13 years in New York. For over a decade, she worked for the National Geographic Society raising funds for their conservation initiatives. During that time, Lutz's earlier abstract photographic work, inspired by nature, was shown at the United Nations and in numerous NYC shows. Her connection with the National Geographic community coupled with her training in anthropology inspired her to move in a new creative direction, one that honors storytelling through a variety of documentary forms. Now based out of Marfa, she documents life in the Chihuahuan Desert on both sides of the border. She brings her documentary approach to all her projects from editorial and film to weddings and events.

Jessica Lutz is a nationally recognized photographer based in West Texas. Her work has appeared in New York Times, Texas Monthly, Texas Architect among other publications. When she's not photographing, she can be found restoring an old adobe on the border of Mexico. She has been recognized by International Womens Media Foundation, Black and White Magazine, Eddie Adams workshops and other esteemed organizations.
