I took a little bit of a hiatus from this salon. When I previously Yelped about this place I was…read moregoing every week. I recently went back and still think the 1 hour massage is decent. I was happy to see You-You is still working there as she will adapt the massage to your preference. I like deep-tissue and she is very strong so she has become my favourite!! As previously mentioned this is a low-key place. It doesn't have all the bells & whistles of a typical spa but how can you argue with the price? What they offer is a nice therapeutic massage at great value. I suggest paying with cash as you save a little bit of extra money -since you are saving them the banking fees ;)

Jury's out on this one, as their $15 facial sign lured me in for some intelligence gathering…read more It's only a mini-facial, 30 minutes which prob means 20mins lol. And it's true you get what you pay for: didn't include extraction! Just cleanse, moisturizer, & a 'quick mask', whatever that means. Otherwise a full regular facial is $45, which is ok in this area. Could've dropped to a 2star but since i didn't try it, why would i--plus, it was fairly clean, lady was nice enough to barely answer my questions (but with a smile)...and allowed me to snoop around their display to see what kind of products they used... And mildly impressed: GM Collins, never heard of it, but the label says Made in Canada...so.... free parking in this mini-plaza.

This whole area's just hopping. Well, with the amount of time being on the road, a bit refreshing…read moreto avoid dt traffic/parking but also shop local but I digress. Originally came in here for my annual chiropractor checkup but my body got a bit greedy, and went for the RMT. Plus the fact that Rick was a professional and not to sound homophobic, didn't seem overpowering lol. Just that I prefer feminine hands touching my skin, and besides, couldn't imagine any male with rough hands in this profession but I digress once more. Come to think of it, ihe's probably the 1st ever RMT but I really have to digress!!! Appreciate him asking which areas and the pressure, he eventually did apply better pressure on the shoulders and trapezoids. But the real bonus star is their computer system allows to check whether your insurance provider permits services, depending on one's benefits plan. Wasn't sure how much I had left so just gave him my card, he scanned it and do offer direct billing so cool, just paid $10, out of $100. Yes, they accept walk-in's. Spacious rooms. Quite a big clinic in general, with a comfy 6-seat waiting area. Will be back.

Does anyone remember when this was a creepy sex shop with blacked out windows?…read more It's now home to a different type of writhing and many an "oh!" face: RMTs, the nicest people you will ever pay to physically hurt you. I went running three days ago and managed to do something ridiculous to my foot. Because i'm an idiot, I ignored it and went dancing... in heels. Not my proudest moment. You already know the ending: I woke up the next day and come hell or high water, could not stand on my sore foot for more then a few minutes. Enter two excruciatingly boring days on the couch before I called in some outside help. Here's what I know: I picked this place based on the close proximity to my house. All the good stuff is just bonus to the fact that I can be here and face planted on a table within 4 minutes flat. 1. I went online and booked same day, with an hour lead time. 2. It was $60 (tax in) for a 30 minute massage - which isn't "woo woo!" but it's standard. 3. After thirty minutes where Rick pulled, smushed and wiggled some things around (technical terms), and then took the time to grab the ol' text book for a quick knowledge session when I asked how he managed to poke my foot and make my shoulders quake (it was awesome), I left. The only reason ALL of this is awesome: I can stand! On TWO feet! My foot is still sore, but it's dull enough that I can once again resume being a functioning member of society. It's enough that I forgive them for calling themselves Mount Pleasant Massage when they are clearly in Riley Park. Respect the home turf guys! (I jest.) 30 minutes and I CAN do a happy dance again. Enough said.
