i have a 2012 ram 1500 hemi 4WD i took my truck in for an…read moreEVAP smoke test because i spent about a month straight myself trying to future it out and never could, i spoke to Aaron about everything what was planned out along with that i've had the same "service 4WD" light that has been turning on and off every bump i've hit for the last 4yrs i've had the truck - Martin ended up fixing the EVAP prob by finding a hose that wasn't connected and pulled way out of place, and fixed some electrical plugs on the 4WD transmission but the problem came back a few days later -also before i left the first day TMC ended up washing my truck which was cool the second time i dropped off the truck it was to replace the 4WD transmission actuator completely and it ended up fixing the problem completely, Martin ended up taking me to the back shop and we crawled underneath the truck and he showed me exactly what was going on under the truck and what he replaced everything was reasonably priced out i think, and on top of that Martin ended up teaching me first had a few things about my truck, i'll be coming back here again forsure

I was quoted $1,450 to replace the blower motor and resistor. The explanation given to me was that it would have to be aftermarket parts and it was labor intensive, thus the $1400+ cost. I declined the service because it seemed to high a price and, this is where I'm disappointed by the owner, while he explained the cost, he said it with a smirk. This didn't settle well with me. He charged me $265 for the synthetic oil change and for the inspection. I assume that he changed me 2hours for the inspection. After I left I searched what the average constant for replacing a blower motor and resistor. The average cost is $200 parts and labor minus tax. I ended up buying the parts and replacing the blower and resistor on my own for under $100 and it took me about 2 hours (because I am not a mechanic). I'm certain that a professional would have taken less than an hour to fix. I am looking for an honest explanation from the company as to why I was quoted that amount and why the inspection was so expensive. I really want to give them a second chance but I might be looking for another mechanic. I take 2 cars to get regular maintenance and the occasional big ticket item.
