I've been to this stadium many times and have never thought to give it a review. I'm truthfully…read morenot a huge football fan but as an alumni, a resident of Columbus, and someone married to one and prior to that always seemed to end up dating them I must admit there is a certain electricity around the campus on game day. The band and cheerleaders are fantastic, and the entire production is top notch. And of course, while I don't even really like football, these players are some of the best of the best, and I do enjoy watching in person. If the weather is nice, that is. Parking is tricky but that's also something I'm used to. Taking an uber, bike riding, scooters, parking on West Campus and taking the shuttle(or walking if it's nice), or even doing a park and ride on the Cota can all be helpful options A few notes, while this stadium is gorgeous, and iconic, the food options are pretty limited. The only thing I have ever actually enjoyed was a Buckeye so shout out to the Buckeye lady! The costs of everything while high are to be expected., But it would be great to have some additional options, we all know you guys have connections around here. The bathrooms could also use an upgrade. Otherwise definitely recommend for any Buckeye fan.

Even from the outside, it was incredibly impressive and much larger than I expected. It was really cool to see such an iconic stadium in person. Whether you're a football fan or just appreciate seeing famous landmarks, it's definitely worth a quick stop if you're in the area. We're glad we took a few minutes to check it out!

Newport Music Hall is a Columbus institution. I can't even count the number of shows I've been to…read moreover the last 30-odd years. Everybody is always friendly - they have a solid staff, no complaints. Is it clean? Not really. Is it loud? Deafeningly so. Are you gonna get beat up in the pit? Probably. Can you hear well basically anywhere in the venue? For sure. I have to get strategic with where j stand if j want to see, but I'm 5' tall so I'm used to that. If you're lucky enough to sit upstairs, that's the best view but it's not always open. From The Strokes to GWAR, the Newport has never let me down. Parking sort of sucks since it's across the street from OSU. I always ride share, but I'm sure there's a parking garage nearby. Campus rules apply - be smart, eyes up, don't stray or stay after midnight, and don't keep valuables in your car.

There's a main, general admission area that doesn't have seating, making it great for those who want to dance the night away more easily. We sat upstairs in the balcony area. I liked that there was a bar up there as well! The bathrooms got SLAMMED about halfway through, so they weren't the cleanest, but I understand. Looking forward to going back for more concerts!

I had been to plenty of events when it was the MLS Crew's home field. I personally do not think this is prime real estate for a festival. I parked at a garage at Columbus State and took a shuttle. The drop off area was still a bit of a walk from there to check in and go in. Some of sound was not great for a few of the stages. Some video was spotty too. Only one free water refill station. Thankful for that, but only one area? On a positive note, the bathrooms in the stadium section were clean and operational. I get it, this isn't the main stadium for the soccer team anymore, but things still take place here. Keep the sound and video up to snuff. The traffic was a big problem for a lot of people, planning on the facility, city and promoter have to be more in sync for a better rating if I am to return in future years.

The creaking is starting to get loud enough to show its age, but it's still the perfect sized venue…read morefor all kinds of events from Crew 2 matches to Aviators football to rock music festivals. That creaky metal structure actually is comforting, since you don't feel like you're in a historical monument like Ohio Stadium and can relax a little. The expansion of the paved parking area is much appreciated, but the fairgrounds in general is going to need to figure out some way of getting cars in and out faster as the number of large events continues to grow. Aside from the understandable frustration it causes for people attending events, it also clogs up 71 and campus area surface roads. Just arrive early and be patient - and probably hit the restroom on your way out in case exiting the parking lot takes longer than the event you attended.
