But upon arrival, I can tell that it was a pretty laid-back please. The desk clerk was very knowledgeable about the games and their history, as well as some nostalgic items that were available. They also have lots of Funko pops if you're into that type of thing. I even like the way they use the ticket gun to price various items in the store. It reminded me of the old school candy store with the little stickers label posted on it. The items look well cared for and wrapped very thoroughly and methodically. I believe lots of the items are fairly priced and not overwhelmingly expensive. I was most impressed with the miniature video game console that sat at the front counter that pre-dated the Atari. What surprise me most about this location is that they had a actual arcade in the back with various games from the 80s like contra, galaxa, pong, Qbert, dig, dug, streetfighter, or Pac-Man, and they even had a racing game. Even though it was not a very, very large arcade, It really did bring back quite a bit of memories.

The Wildwood Antique Mall of Lakeland is part of the Wildwood Antique Mall chain. Wildwood Antique Mall claims to be one of the largest antique dealers in Florida. It was started in 2011, when 77-year-old Manny Pesco took his last $4,000 from his former auction business that had closed because of the 2008 recession and invested the money into the first Wildwood Antique Mall that took its name from the intersection it is located on. Other locations opened in Eustis, Vero Beach, and Titusville opened in the intervening years and the investment turned out to be a good one since all of the locations do around 5 million dollars annually. What makes this antique mall different from the other stores in the chain is the abundance of merchandise available from the theme parks. I found booths for both Universal and Disney items. The fun starts when you walk in the door and there is a carriage from Disney's Port Orleans resort out front and you are greeted by a velociraptor straight out of Universal Studios just inside the door. Wildwood Antique Mall of Lakeland has all of the typical booths of antiques you would expect to find but my favorite booths were the ones filled with Disney and Universal Studios merchandise. Recycling the Magic had a Splash Mountain log flume car, Vault Collectibles sells Disney and Universal studios props, and Melly's Remarket sells Disney art. My favorite booth was the Jurassic World Tribute store in the back of mall with a ton of Universal Studio items. They had an extensive horror collection and many other one of a kind items. I especially loved all of the Haunted Mansion items I found throughout the mall. If you are a theme park fan like me this is a must stop if you are in Lakeland. Prices for the real collectibles were more than I could afford but I found a Haunted Mansion Loungefly for only $25. There is something for everyone. Allow a few hours for a visit because this antique mall feels never ending. I could have easily spent all day here.

The section near the front door has some interesting finds, though pricing can be a bit high relative to condition. Even so, I did manage to pick up a few items I had been looking for at reasonable prices. The deeper section inside the store is where I had the best luck, with a much better mix of selection and value. There is a lot to go through, and I ended up making a second trip back just to finish digging through everything I wanted to explore. I came away with several great vinyl finds on both visits. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and very personable, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Free parking right by the front entrance is another added benefit, especially since street parking in the area is metered during weekday business hours. I also noticed they have a large selection of comic books, which may be of interest if you enjoy collecting those as well. If you enjoy digging for records and don't mind spending time searching, Lloyds of Lakeland is definitely worth a stop.

At first glance, parking looks completely stupid. It looks as though there are only two parking spots, frequently taken by the employees. This isn't actually the case, though. But we didn't figure that out until months later. Had we figured it out sooner, we'd have been there more often. Now that we know, we will do just that. There's actually a shared lot to the south of the building; it's easy to miss so keep your eyes open! This is no ordinary thrift shop. They've got the coolest, most iconic goodies from eras past. Being an 80s kid, this little shop is packed full of delights I recognize from those days. Toys, old cameras, collectibles, footwear, memorabilia.... they've even managed to stuff an old VW Beetle inside. Rad. Oh and the vintage clothing! Good gravy, it's everywhere! It's perfect for us, as cosplayers. We've found so many pieces for our cosplays here that we couldn't find anywhere else at way better prices than ordering online. Love this shop! Admittedly, my slight claustrophobia creeps up when inside but that's because this place is SO stuffed full of spectacular vintage goodness. There were several rooms of art, home goods, dishes, collectibles, tools, records, toys, holiday decorations, jewelry, furniture, light fixtures, and wonderful smelling candles. There was quite a bit to look at but the aisles are narrow so you have to watch your step. Out back they sell plants. I found a small trinket box in my grandmother's China pattern. While paying I received 20 percent off and the offer of coffee and a slice of carrot cake from the sweet ladies ringing me up. I was delighted them up on their generosity. The great selection, fair pricing, and wonderful customer service makes this lovely shop a must stop in Winter Haven.

Inside the building was like going into my grandfather's old garage where years of salvageable items had been stored in the event some part was needed again for another project. Waste not, want not, right? Stained Market Place carries so many oddball pieces. Things you don't think you need until you see them and then wonder how you did without having it. Pieces that can come together and create a work of art. I took an old and weathered white picket fence and transformed it into two large garden signs that I gave as gifts. The picket fence cost me $5.00. Everything there is reasonably priced. Go there and check it out. You'll be glad you did!

(Truly a great guy:) There was vintage furniture here, including antique furniture (100 years or older). There were even some really nice primitive pieces, such as a butler's sideboard (see pic). The glass items sold here are beyond reproach-- so many quality glass pieces (such as Fenton) in mint condition. Lots of Roseville & Hull pottery as well. Impressive collection of glassware & pottery at fair prices! Lots of vintage silver jewelry here, along with some 10k, 12k, & 14k pieces. I saw an extensive coin collection, & many vintage dolls & toys, Disney collectibles, as well as camping cookware, vintage tools, vinyl & CD's, mid century glassware, clocks, & lighting.
