I love that they only do what is necessary and their cleanings are speedy. When I first came I hadn't been to the dentist in years and they didn't shame me for that at all. I went to see Dr. Deleon. Before they started to do X-rays, I asked if they could do what I needed. The doctor who was so rude and impatient, three times non-stop repeated that he had to do X-rays first and next exam then he could talk. I politely told him that I just have a simple question, but he didn't even hear me and repeated the same words. He was so rude, and he said he doesn't want to see me. Dr. Deleon was VERY Unprofessional. I felt sorry for him and his patients (even though his office was empty and maybe there was a reason for it.) The wife of the dentist ASSAULTED me by grabbing my teeth out of anger, I'm talking about my whole front row, and squeezing them while angrily justifying why I needed extra fillings than I really did. They SCAM and commit insurance fraud by stating you have more cavities than you really do. I have been dealing with a CRACKED MOLAR for years that SHE CAUSED. The molar is crooked so I can't get a crown and it has a cavity that can't be fixed because of the angle and how fragile it is because SHE CRACKED IT. I am furious and you're lucky I haven't hit you with a lawsuit yet. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Mind you, she wasn't even supposed to work on my teeth?! I had an appointment with the man and he said she can take over. Years of issues I have dealt with since going to this insurance fraud dentist. UGH. read more

This is the only dentist I've ever been to where I felt like the doctors actually cared about me. For the last 5 years I haven't been able to eat on the left side of my mouth due to teeth pain and the fact that I was missing a crown (my old dentist refused to try to help me in any way with a financial plan). Recently I was able to get Denti-Cal and was very nervous about going to the dentist because the previous ones I had gone to in the past were all about money and didn't seem to care if you were in pain or scared or not. Let's be honest- going to the dentist is a scary thing. You *know* it's going to hurt and you *know* you have to do it if you want to be healthy. Both Dr Sunglao and Dr Deleon are very caring and put your needs first. They will always stop if you ask them to and answer any questions you have. The appointments are very professional and quick. You are never left in the waiting room for very long and once you are seated, they get to you almost right away. Usually I am not even there for more than an hour. Long story short, I love this dentist office. My entire viewpoint about going to the dentist has changed since I started going here. I can't recommend it enough. read more

Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this office. I took my three kiddos for their school year check up. I refused x-rays for my 7 year old and she ssaid she would withhold old treatment unless I got them. I held my ground and she finally cleaned his teeth too. The part that was infuriating was when I asked her not to put fluoride on their teeth. Ten minutes later she goes to put gel on and I ask her what it is and if it has fluoride. She says it's just something to polish the teeth and there's no fluoride. I pick up the container that has fluoride written all over it. I show it to her and she rudely dismisses me but at least doesn't attempt to do it again. I was so angry she went directly against what I stated I wanted for my children's care. I had already booked my husband with an appointment when I booked my kids and he didn't want to cancel as he really wanted his teeth cleaned. He came home with "multiple cavities" that didn't exist which was verified by the next dentist we saw who was absolutely amazing and only fixed the one fIlling he actually needed. Don't go here. She's a crook and she gives dentists a bad name. I've filed a complaint with the dental board as well. read more

They perform all aspects of Dentistry and we do not Have to hassle with being sent all over to different dental offices with different specialties. It's actually scary that they are allowed to have licenses. I have never in my life had such an awful experience. I have medi-cal which pays them to do my fillings. They took advantage of this and lied about how many cavities I had. I went to another dentist 2 hours prior to my appointment with them for fillings just to make sure. And sure enough the other dentist told me I had 5, yet this place told me I had 12!!!! It's actually very scary that they do that! When I asked her how many I had she got extremely angry with me and grabbed me by my TEETH and squeezed them angry with me for asking. I'm sad that I even know how that feels because it's a nightmare and it hurts more then you'd imagine.. then because I upset her by asking how many cavities I had, she was just awful to me up until I left. If I wasn't so passive I would have left right away. :( She then got angry that my mouth wasn't wide enough and I told her that was as wide as it goes, I have a small mouth. So she said no and shoved this thing in my mouth for me to bite on and it was way too big for me it hurt severely to have my mouth and jaw open that wide. I tried to keep it in as long as possible but I couldn't bare it any more and took it out and she huffed and puffed at me talking under her breath. She kept numbing me with shots and within 5 seconds of giving me a shot she would start drilling away without waiting for it to work. Numerous times I told her it hurt and I eventually said can we please wait for it to kick in after she gave me 6 shots in a row cause I continued to tell her it hurt when she drilled. She said ok and worked on the bottom molars instead and once she got back to the top it was finally numb. Then on my back bottom molar it was a nightmare because it hurt EXTREMELY bad every time she drilled on it and she had to give me 5 more shots (drilling immediately after each shot) and the last one was the strongest one she had. Pieces of my tooth literally went flying, smacking the glasses I had on, and one piece even lodged in my throat and I had to pull it out myself. She then started explaining why, which was ridiculous, and then hovered over me saying this tooth's going to need a crown, and Medi-cal won't cover it and grinned at me..? I felt like I was in a nightmare. At the very end she asked me to tell her if my bite was wrong and I had to tell her it was wrong maybe 12 times which of course annoyed her. After the 5th or 6th time of saying it's wrong she told me to bite hard and one of my teeth or fillings literally cracked. So she fixed that and we continued to go back and forth trying to fix my bite. She told me it's my job to tell her if it's wrong or not so that we can be finished and I told her I'm doing the best I can. I hysterically cried after leaving. If I wasn't such a passive person I would sue. I got x rays the next day at another dentist to prove she did unnecessary work to get money from medical-cal for fake cavities. This is honestly very scary. And I am permanently traumatized by the dentist. Save yourself please. read more

Since my initial examination, I have been there multiple times, completing a total of 6 fillings and 2 crowns, within the span of a month. Each of my visits had minimal to no wait time! Your appointment here matches exactly to your scheduled time, which is almost unheard of nowadays. This is the way it should be! Especially for busy college students like myself. a few months ago i decided to get my mouth checked out as it had been a while since my last check up. I moved houses since my last checkup so this was the closest place to me that seemed reasonable, I called to make an appointment and i got one easily when I went there I just had to fill out some paper work since it was my first time there. After i was done, I went in for an examination which was easy and fast. After the check up, they told me to come back to get the work done that was needed. I came back very soon, within the same week to get the work done. it was fast, easy, professional and they were very friendly, I'm barely writing this review now because I saw a reminder I made to review them before my next cleaning. Before my treatment with Dr. Sunglao and DeLeon, I had not visited the dentist for around 2 years. I have been very wary of going to the dentist since I was a teenager. However, my first visit with Dr. Sunglao and DeLeon helped me change my perspective of dental care. The wait times were not long and the receptionist was very cool. When the dentist came and told me that it was my turn we immediately hit it off with some great convo, and life lessons, and I came to find out that Denistry is just one of the many talents that they have. Do not go here. These dentist were rude, argumentative and defensive. All anyone wants is to have healthy teeth and these dentist's attitude prevented that for me. I got a partial made and when the first one didn't fit and was painful, they tried to convince me to keep it. I had to insist that another be made. When the second one arrived again they were defensive from the start. I told them that I was worried the metal parts were protruding and felt they would break the teeth above. They said they did their tests and it looks fine, insisting there is no perfect partial. A week later I noticed rough patches on my teeth above the partial. I called them and they invited me to have them checked. Sure enough the partial was chipping the teeth above. They started blaming me saying I should've gotten a less supportive partial (the same I had before but fell out while snorkeling). I was dumbfounded as to why they would suggest a partial that fell and fail to tell me the dangers of this new partial. Why would one dentist argue the safety and when it failed another argue the dangers? To top it all off they kicked me out for expressing my disappointment of how they failed to listen to my concerns. These dentists don't listen! The male has anger issues. It's all about saving face for these two. I will report to dentist board. read more

I have been here a couple times. The staff is friendly, but not so professional. They try to sell you on things such as a night guard or fillings even if you don't have any cavities. Some of their equipment is not working properly and when I was there they were spending a while trying to get it to work. The office itself is a little shabby. For the most part the dentists seem like they know what they're doing, but I think their whole purpose is to try and get you to spend more money. This Dentist is being reported to the Denti-Cal program and the Dept. of Consumer affairs for fraud and criminal practice as of April 2018. I was new to Denti-Cal having lost my insurance 2 years prior and went in for x rays and an exam March 27. I was told I needed 9 fillings and a deep periodontal cleaning due to gum disease. I was told 5 of my amalgam fillings needed replacement and that I had 4 new cavities. The dentist was unable to show me on the x rays where the cavities were and when I asked why the amalgam fillings needed replacement I was told there must be bacteria growing under them. I also asked how she knew I had gum disease when she had not used a probe to measure gum pocket depth and she replied that she could tell from the x rays. I left and went to my family dentist, paid out of pocket for a complete exam, including cancer screening and full gum inspection using a probe. I have no evidence of gum disease, and there are no cavities in my teeth, and the fillings are fine. This dentist is lying to patients about their condition and then submitting fraudulent claims to Denti-Cal for reimbursement. read more

I have had the honor of having both of them work on my teeth at different times and found that both are very competent in their knowledge of dentistry. I am 66 years old and have been to many different dentists over the years, but these two are very special. I am very comfortable in the dentist chair and around them. They let me know what they are doing as they are working on my teeth so there are no surprises. They do not overbook so there is no long waiting time.
