The salad was so fresh and delicious. The sloppy Jo was huge even though it was a half size portion. The restaurant was and clean and had plenty of seating. The service was fast and the staff was very friendly. They offer a large variety of desserts too but I did not order any. I frequent this place because the food is so good and the service is amazing.

I saw that they had a printable menu so you could sit down and look, but I didn't see it until after I panic ordered! I settled for a combo, half salad and a half sandwich. I guess I didn't read the small print where you had to be selective about the salad, so I ended up getting a Caesar salad and then I tried the chipotle avocado chicken sandwich. I also got a side of potatoes which were crispy and very delicious. The side costs extra, which was as bummer cause some places give you a side for free. The sandwich was good and had a huge chunk of chicken on it. The salad was fresh and crispy. It was pretty busy for a Wednesday night, but there was plenty of seating. All of the staff that I encountered were very friendly, they were very quick to clean our table as we finished with dishes, and I also bought a piece of bread pudding to take home, which was amazing as well.

Their menu was quite large, with hot dogs, cold subs, hot sandwiches, and paninis listed. They also feature a couple soups daily. When we went, they had a loaded baked potato soup and a lobster bisque. The young girl working the front was very happy and helpful and gave some good suggestions too. The place is quaint, with several tables and lots of historic signs on the walls. We started with their baked potato soup - The overall flavor was nice. But the potatoes in it were rubbery, like they used the wrong type of potato or maybe over-cooked it. Also, the soup was just warm, far from being served hot. Next up were the sandwiches - I chose the BBQ chicken sandwich, which had thinly sliced chicken breast on it, along with BBQ sauce, mayo, and onions. The sandwich was pressed, like a panini and was pretty good. I liked the smokiness of the BBQ sauce. I also got a bottle of their homemade root beer and it was pretty good. They serve Route 11 potato chips, which are my favs! So, I had to pick up a bag of Mama Zuma for later - those things are spicey, hot, and tasty! Overall, it's a nice spot, I can see them being a popular lunch spot downtown.

The ambiance seemed nice. We were the only people actually sitting there; more people were ordering to go. The cheese pizza was good. The cheese steak was really good. I would say they put a lot of sauce on there, so I would ask for sauce on the side to avoid making it soggy. And the dock sub, I didn't feel, had enough sauce. I would definitely come back and try some more things.

Sure, would I go back again and again because I want NYC style food? No. The pizza tasted like typical boxed pizza...if they actually toss the pie dough I'd be surprised because the texture and tear of the dough suggests commercial dough balls rolled out. And the cheesesteak....Pats & Ginos is what we are talking about...which are not the places people go if they want authentic cheesesteak. Just cause there is cheese whiz on it doesn't make it authentic. It wasn't terrible but I'm looking for a more thoughtful cheesesteak. The bread was a 1, too much bread and it was cumbersome. I didn't finish it but it was at best a 3...I've definitely had worse in this area. Service was great the cashier was friendly and helpful.

I got the Beyond burger and let me tell you... IT WAS HUGE! So fresh with all the toppings and be prepared it takes a while to make but worth every minute of wait (to the point I thought mine wasn't being made LOL). Then with the doors open, lots of flies. There is a large cooler with a variety of drinks. No drink machine so refills are a no go for me. The seating area is really odd. It's through the front, winds around through a tiny hall and past the restrooms. So if you're looking for any ambiance, this isn't it. Although, most get food to go anyway. The food is the reason for three stars. Tons of meat. Very little anything else. Not bad at all. The macaroons were really good and the antipasto was amazing I wanted to give a better rating but two of us waited over 10 mins in the sweltering heat and paid $50+. We will be back and hopefully the AC will work. The poor employees suffered the most and that's unacceptable.
