When I was a teenager, I used to adore Subway. I would (and when I visit - still do) always get chicken teriyaki and bacon with a bunch of veggies and sauces. Life is too short to worry if the Sandwich Artist® will judge me for going 'a little' overboard. Today, there it's not just one Subway closer to me than Jersey Mike's, but two! Yet, I am finding myself visiting JM's a couple times a month, as opposed to the rare Subway visit? I think it's primarily to do with the meats and cheeses! Subway is sometimes borderline stingy with these ingredients. Two strips of bacon per six inches, yeah sorry, that's not a lot. Meanwhile, JM's isn't shy about slicing up more than ample protein. Some other reasons I'm a fan of JM's: I appreciate the simplicity of their creations. As much as I love to personalize and customize, sometimes the only customization I desire is to add some Pepper Relish. "The juice" - liberally applied olive oil and vinegar keeps the sandwich very moist, and the acid and oil help tease out extra flavors! I've had plenty of sandos with lettuce and tomato that had a dry mouthfeel, and this wasn't the case here. Their hot subs are respectable as well. I had the pleasure of trying a Big Kahuna Cheese Steak and also found it very tasty with ample protein, cheese, and veggie. FInally, their service. Everyone I've encountered has been very pleasant and professional. The staff seemed to genuinely enjoy working there. Further, they are great at efficiency - for example slicing a meat for two customers' sandwiches to minimize time switching back and forth. So, is Jersey Mike's making legendary, above and beyond subs that warrant a visit from a *certain* celebrity with a Red Corvette and Frosted Tips hair? No. However, it fully meets expectations with great sandwiches in its category. Also, I'm craving Subway now... drats. read more

Finally had a chance to try Jersey mikes and was NOT disappointed. Steak and cheese sub was fabulous and cooked just the way I like it. Also liked the Root Beer in the fountain soda area and I'm so glad they had fountain sodas not just bottled soda. I didn't try the chips or anything but I will definitely be a return customer here. The employees were super helpful and friendly, they even help me set up the app on my phone so I can obtain points and call ahead in the future. Great store, very friendly people. Ok. Just ok. I have tried them 3 times, and I don't love the subs, but they are acceptable.

I had been wanting to try this place so I stopped in a couple of weeks ago and placed a takeout order. They just opened up within the last year so it's still a fairly new place. You order the kind of sub you want from the person making the subs and then there is a condiment area where there is someone else who you can have put any toppings you want on your sub. After that you pay for your subs and wait for them to finish making your order. There are three different sizes for all of the subs so there's something for everyone no matter how small or big your appetite is. I got the Chicken Bacon Ranch sub and it wasn't bad at all but I think the next time I'm there I may want to try the steak and cheese sub. The help seemed very friendly and I received my order pretty fast. I will definitely make a trip back there again. read more

Oh my what a great Hot sub!! I just loved the hot sub I got Philly Cheese Steak. My granddaughter got chicken bacon ranch sub. Both subs were on Rosemary Parmesan bread and wow I can't wait to get another sub from there soon. I may try a different sub every time I go there. The bread is on point so fresh and tasty. I don't know what Mike's puts in there Italian sandwich but i get withdrawal symptoms if i don't get one at least once a week! Seriously, its hard to go to another sub shop after trying JM's, they do it right. They build a deli then add a sub shop to it. Meats and cheese sliced to order, fresh breads, popping salad toppings and a wine and vinegar dressing to die for. I did try the philly steak and cheese once and i have to say its one of only a handful of times that i can say that i didn't find a single "chewy" bit of gristle in the sandwich, it was just perfectly cooked and was so damn delicious. Decisions decisions.......But the king, the winner, the sub above all others is the Italian and i highly recommend getting it Mike's way. I have noticed not all mikes are created equal, the one in Stoughton on Washington Street is one of the best around, along with the one in Randolph, i've been to some others and although the sandwiches were ok, it didn't wow me like my go to places, maybe i'm biased because i go there all the time, who knows, all i do know is i am a JM's addict and looking for a support group! read more

Not thrilled with my experience. Ordered two large Italian subs to go...condiments and oil on the side for $45 with the almost forced tip. When I got home, there was a takeout container loaded with brownish, greyish, greenish chopped lettuce, a few slices of mealy tomatoes, and a pile of slimey onions. In what world are pickles and hot peppers not included in "condiments on the side" with an Italian sub? For $45, it seems as though the lettuce, tomatoes and onions could be fresh, and if it's not standard practice to include pickles, at least ask. I'll never go there again, there are plenty of small, local places to go where "condiments on the side" doesn't mean the mess that I got from Jersey Mikes. Just wanted to mention that the girls working there were very nice and helpful. Unfortunately, they've got a lot on their plates and clearly don't have much experience. read more

Big fan of Jersey Mike's, genuinely think they have some of the best subs. This one star review is fully related to the service experienced at this location. There were only 3 customers in line, some of whom left before ordering. It took over 45 minutes to order our sandwich because staff solely prioritized online orders. Once it finally was time to order, we had to repeat order multiple times due to disorganization and lack of attention. Food, when it's what is ordered is excellent. One time, and one time only, our order included a gluten free sandwich which wasn't what we received ; my wife can't eat gluten for medical reasons. I sent a text to both this store and the Jersey Mike's website. The main website said they would pass along my concern but I never heard again from either the main or this particular store. Its Jersey Mike's, the foods always solid but nothing special. What makes this place special is the employees. This review is mainly for the owner. You got a manager that acts like an owner, I never see this level of service except with owner operators, he obviously really cares about the business. Your lucky to have him. Seems like he's cultivated great work place culture, the other employees I talked too were super friendly. I imagine your doing something right if you have such good employees and have been able to expand so quickly. We usually like Jersy Mike's. We go for the grilled portabello mushroom sub. It's usually delicious. We've been to the store in Wareham, Hyannis and Quincy. But when we go to the store in Quincy we often feel rushed. This last time, the amount of ingredients: the mushrooms, onions and peppers were the least amount ever. It barely filled the bread. Not only that, the bread seemed smaller as well. But maybe that was because there were hardly any ingredients. I was really disappointed. I'd avoid this one if I were you. I attempted to use a 25% off coupon here. Cashier was not able to scan it, so told me, "Sorry, this doesn't scan" and asked for the full price. I asked for the manager, hoping he could manually override the discount. He was not able to scan it or override it- so he just said "Sorry, this isn't working." He did offer 10% off but only after I pressed the issue. Staff here is uninterested in customers, talk too much about nonsense with each other, and management is clearly not trained to make customers feel satisfied. This afternoon was my very first experience at jersey mike subs. Arrived about 20 minutes before 2 PM still fairly busy even after the lunch rush. The young man in the red shirt behind the counter I'm thinking he was a manager or so he was amazing this was the Quincy Massachusetts store that just opened up. This young man flew like the wind he was really something to watch I actually commented to him 'whatever they pay you it's not enough.' I took myself to go. I ordered the regular size boy was this thing packed full enough for two perhaps in some cases. I sat at my desk and opened up my sandwich the first bite was amazing I had a number nine which is the supreme club turkey roast beef lettuce tomatoes and onions mayo and an amazingly fresh roll. I was really hungry and I devoured this thing it was so delicious I've never had a sub with balsamic vinegar on it that had roast beef and turkey in it but with the onions and everything else it balanced out amazing in fact I finished the sub 20 minutes ago and I can still taste a little bit of that balsamic on the back of my tongue it's delicious. I will be back to Jersey Mike's very soon subs are very very very good service was excellent look forward to eating my way through your menu. Home run with the number nine by the way. read more

I'm such a bread person and the French bread used at Jersey Mike's is scrumptious! It's soft yet crispy, exactly how it should be. This was my first time ever trying this franchise and I'm pleasantly surprised. I've never heard of this place until it came to my city. If I were to rate it on a scale I would say Subway, Deangelos, JERSEY MIKE'S SUBS, and then the local sub place I grew up eating. For a franchise, the subs taste like a mom and pop deli. Thats a big compliment! When I first walked in I noticed right off the bat how clean it was. The workers were very friendly and quick. They take your order, you pay, and then they call your name when your order is up. They have a simple and effective system for ordering. I ordered the steak and cheese and my husband ordered the chicken chipotle. We ordered two regular sized subs and each one was $8 and some change. It would have been cheaper to get the large sub and split it but we wanted to try each other's order. We both thought the steak and cheese was going to be our favorite but we actually loved the chicken chipotle sub even more. Whatever sauce/cheese mix is in there can be bottled and sold. It's so good and creamy! It's one of those subs that you'll regret eating later if your lactose intolerant. The steak and cheese had peppers and onions and I felt like it could have handled a bit more, but that's just personal preference. The proportion of meat to bread was great. The pictures don't do the subs justice because they definitely taste better than they look in photos. My husband and I will definitely be back! read more

Jersey Mike's in Hanover is like a box of chocolates- you never know what you are gonna get! App needs to be redesigned. You are rushed off the phone when trying to place an order. Not one order has ever been right. It's a running joke about what may or may not turn up on your sub. Started going in the store to watch the making of the subs. I got a blt tonight (i added pickles) and when i tell you this BLT created a core memory in my brain, it changed my life for the better. Wow AMAZING. Amazing. I have been to the one in Franklin MA and it was meh. But the one in Stoughton is AMAZING!!! First, the people working there are nice, polite, and engage in conversation with so much positive energy you leave feeling better. Second, the food is top notch. From the quality of the bread to the flavor of the ingredients and let's not discount on the portions. Unlike Subway, these guys fill a sub. And lastly, the store was clean.
