On Saturday, May 16th, 2026, my loving wife, my kind and helpful sister-in-law, and I stopped by Jersey Mike's in Harrisonburg for a sub. When we walked in, we were greeted with a cheerful "good morning" by all four employees who were working that day. Throughout the entire ordering process, the staff was extremely friendly and quickly answered all our questions. Our subs were prepared promptly, and I've never witnessed such helpfulness and cooperation among employees.We sat down to enjoy our subs, which were, as usual, incredibly tasty, and we devoured them quickly. I want to emphasize that the employees were not only pleasant, kind, and helpful, but they also worked together seamlessly. ***They should be the model for how all fast food restaurant employees treat customers.*** I would like to recognize all four of these dedicated employees: Olivia Messin, Connor Mills, Seth Keister, and Austin Mayo. I can see that each of them has a bright future ahead in their careers. These employees embody the essence of the kind of young Americans we need to build a greater USA. I came into Jersey Mike's at 8:45 PM, before closing time, hoping to order a Philly cheesesteak sub. Unfortunately, I was denied service even though the store was still open. An employee named Olivia told me she was in a rush to close and get home, and because of that, I wasn't able to order the sandwich I came in for. I completely understand that closing shifts can be long and tiring, but customers who arrive before the posted closing time should still be able to order from the available menu. It was disappointing to be turned away when the store was technically still open. I've had positive experiences here before, which made this interaction especially frustrating. I hope management can address this so future customers aren't denied service during normal operating hours. I did not want to pull the race card but it seemed to be the only explanation for her behavior. I'm willing to try this place one more time but service must improve. Go dukes! read more

Clean, well lit, decent area of town. Stopped her for a quick bite after picking up my son from school. He ordered the chicken cheesesteak and explicitly said no peppers, and since it's made to order this should be no issue. I had the original Italian. There were 4 workers but none of the jobs seemed to be clear cut and service seemed to be on the slow side and definitely could've been more efficient. ALL of the workers were kind and polite, so I put this on management for not having a better system in place. There were only about 5 people in there when we got there, so not busy at all. My sandwich was made perfectly, however my sons had peppers. He just picked them off and made the best of it. read more

We aren't from the area, but we travel through here every year, and always go to this location. They employees here are uniquely pleasant. Service is quick and the sandwiches are always on point. I cannot say enough good things about this Jersey Mike's. They went above and beyond for me! We had a huge order for like 60 subs for our election party Tuesday night and the order somehow got accidentally called into the Woodstock store not the Harrisonburg one like we thought. I was in a huge time crunch and did not have the time it would take to run another 40 minutes to get there. We got everything squared away with Woodstock and they said if Harrisonburg could make the order we were fine to just get it there. I hated to even ask but we were in a desperate situation and the guys there immediately were like don't worry we got it. Being they are not affiliated with the Woodstock store their price was a bit higher and they even got that down as closely to the quote we were given. In an hour I was out the door with our order and they were slammed busy. The one guy even carried it out to my car. I hate I was so frazzled that I forgot to even ask their names bc they certainly deserve a personal "Thank you" on this review. Both guys were so kind and helpful. I truly appreciated it so much! I will certainly go back for subs and any catering needs and will certainly highly recommend them!!! Also just to add they were the best subs we've ever had!!! Worked here for about 2 weeks cause I just moved back to the area and the money was decent for that kinda job but I quit cause I had my own issues I was dealing with and killing myself everyday to try and do the best job possible while the manager and all his little underlings just hung out and watched me work. I was told to drop off my uniform to pick up my check which is fine but I left my hoodie there and when I went to pick it up another employee had stolen it and the management didn't care so be careful when you go there cause if someone will steal like that then there is no telling what they will do. All the employees I worked with never cleaned the containers we used to store product. I'd go to clean it and would be told we don't clean them. Pretty awful. I love this place! I enjoy their cold subs and their philly cheese steaks are the best in Harrisonburg. I go here whenever I want one. The staff is also very nice which is a plus. I would definitely recommend Jersey Mike's! Needed a catering order for a business training/meeting I organized. Looking at the catering menu and browsing online, I called a couple times to ask questions. My questions were answered thoroughly & patiently each time. I chose to order over the phone as opposed to online as I had several modifications to the subs I wanted. Dominic took my order and was friendly and helpful through the whole process. When I got there to pick up my order, I was a little early, but everything was just about ready. The whole staff was helpful, friendly and funny.
