Friendly service always and fresh sandwiches. I love the classic Italian. Best subs we have in town.

Sandwich was great! I like this sub shop much better than subway. I've not been disappointed here.

So much better than Jimmy John's. Better service, better food. Hint: get the app for great deals.

I placed an order around 12:00 AM for 40 nuggets, two large fries, and a McChicken. It took almost…read moretwo and a half hours for my food to arrive, which was already extremely frustrating. On top of that, both the DoorDash driver and the manager gave me misleading information about the status of my order throughout the process. While I was calling the manager about the delay, my friend happened to be at the restaurant getting food around the same time. My friend told me that the manager was giving out free food, including fries and burgers, while I was still waiting hours for my paid order. I found this especially frustrating considering that the manager told me over the phone that he was personally making my order and making sure it was given directly to my DoorDash driver. When my order finally arrived, the food was in unacceptable condition. My nuggets were completely cold, and I was missing three nuggets. My McChicken was extremely deformed, and both of my large fries were rock-solid and freezing cold. To make matters worse, none of the sauces I ordered were included. Considering the manager specifically told me he was personally making sure my order was prepared and handed to the driver, I find it hard to believe that the missing sauces were an accident. Overall, I am extremely disappointed with how this situation was handled. Waiting nearly two and a half hours is unacceptable on its own, but receiving cold, incomplete, and poorly prepared food after that wait along with being given misleading information made the entire experience even worse.

Charleston, IL has two important firsts that I'm aware of. It has the first Jimmy John's, and it…read morehas the first Rural King. I haven't set foot in either establishment yet, which is a travesty that sorely needs to be remedied. However, it's become a practice to order lunch delivery from Jimmy John's when I need a pick-me-up because more often than not nowadays, I'm working through lunch. I don't know how they are through the phone or in person either because I have staff who handles all of that. I just tell them whether it's a #3 or a #5 sort of day, hand them my credit card, and disappear for awhile, and when I come back, my lunch is magically on my desk. It's kind of a neat concept. They haven't gotten my order wrong yet, and it tastes like every other Jimmy John's I've been too so I'm pretty satisfied. It actually doesn't take that much to make me happy, but for the 10 minutes alone I get to devour my Jimmy John's in between work behind closed doors, it does make my day better. No, they are not freakishly faster than any other Jimmy John's, and no, this Jimmy John's is not the best ever...but it sure is solid. I always get kinda sad when I drive by though because they have a very beautiful 21st century facelift and drive thru (unlike Rural King or even the 1st McDonalds up in the Chicago suburbs), and I wish they kept it like how it used to be...just for old time's sakes.

This change is so weird and doesn't make sense. Might appear petty but we're ordering elsewhere because of this. Tired of calling for a replacement after ordering.

Well, it's time for another "chain" review…read more Our usual stand on chains is that they are pretty consistent in what they provide and that we the people usually know exactly what that will be. Of course, there can be good experiences and bad, which is sometimes about the food and sometimes about the staff, but the food is essentially what it is. This is obviously a generalization, but a pretty reliable one. This has been the case with this Subway in Charleston pretty much for the 12 years we have lived here. However, Subway, rather recently has changed their offerings, creating a bunch of more "artisan" or "premium" sandwiches and they have also upped their price points accordingly. Tonight, the staff was friendly and efficient, however much of the food was disappointing and not worth the price point being charged. We got 6 sandwiches, 3 foot longs and 3 six inch. Five of our sandwiches were in the Subway Series category and one was a Subway Classic. The classic (meatball marinara) was tried and true and came as it usually does and is well loved by the taker. The elite chicken bacon ranch was modified only to exclude tomatoes. It looked a hot mess and was definitely not up to the par of a named premium or artisan sandwich. The taker enjoyed the taste but it was not worthy of the upgrade from classic to a premium category. The Cheesy Garlic Steaks were not modified other than for cheese types and they were not good. We got two of these and both were a mess to look at, jappearing as a glued together blob stuck on either side of the bread with nothing in the center. The meat was meh, certainly not premium. Due to the way it was all melted together , there was no balance to the sandwich or to the flavor. It was edible similar to the classic steak and cheese but definitely did not live up to the upgrade in presentation or taste. They have no business charging the amount of money they are charging for this sandwich, nor having it as a premium sandwich - not the way they came. We were very disappointed and will not likely take a chance on these again. The Ultimate BMT we will reserve commenting on because the person partaking is on chemo and her taste buds are kind of faulty right now. That said, she did enjoy her sandwich, it just tasted off from what she is used to. We will assume that is on her end though and leave that at her feet rather than the sandwich itself. The final sandwich "The Boss" has not been eaten yet, so we cannot comment on that one. And finally it REALLY sticks in my craw when we order sandwiches and they are NOT identified on the outside of the sandwich. ESPECIALLY when some orders are the same type with different modifications. This is just lazy and inexcusable. Put identifying info on the paper of the sandwiches please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But I will say this is not exclusive to Subway. I can't say we will never patronize Subway again but should we visit again, we will definitely stick to a basic, classic sub and steer clear of all of the upgraded, up charged sandwiches. There are several other sandwich shops in town and I will say they usually live up to their standards in presentation and taste and matching costs. This has caused Subway to fall down lower on our charts, which does mean we will choose it less often. If you are going to offer a sandwich as a premium or signature sandwich at a premium price, make sure it lives up to it.

Its got a lot of natural light, plenty of seating and has a really nice ambiance for a quick lunch or coffee date. We stopped by for their delicious foccacia pizza but were informed that they don't serve it after 1:30 pm. We settled on the tuna melt but were disappointed by that; cold tuna salad, greasy soft bread (ie not toasted enough), and a slice of unmelted cheese. It really didn't work. We also ordered a few baked goodies but were disappointed to see a bug flying on the cookies. I'm giving them 3 stars for the overall vibe of the restaurant and past experiences. I'm hoping that today they were just having an off day.
