Went to get dinner, very clean restaurant. The guy at the counter was friendly and seemed to enjoy his job. Not sure about the girl on the grill-not sure if the grill wasn't hot enough (never heard the sizzle) or didn't cook my veggies long enough #64 had some cold mushrooms and crunchy peppers/onions- not how I remember the sub from previous orders. The food is decent. The service at this particular location is atrocious. I've stopped in here a half dozen times over the past month, and it is consistently bad. The manager sits around chit chatting with the employees, who seem totally clueless, while customers wait for their food. The service here is so bad, it's funny. Worst service ever! I'm not expect anyone to kiss my feet or anything I understand it's a sandwich shop. But how is it that everyone thought it was playtime. I told the girl that I wanted an Italian sub on white regular size. She says ok and disappears in the back. I can see her and 3 guys play fighting in the back and see them laughing. I ask the short Hispanic girl with braces and glasses "should I order with her b/c the girl walked off and left" She told said in a nasty voice, "she's getting your bread" But then she looks in the back and starts smiling and keeps motioning to the girl to come back to the front. This continues for about 5 more minutes, I can no longer see the girl I told my order to originally but I can hear them laughing in the back. The short Hispanic continues to smirk and then starts laughing and telling the other girl "come on hahahah" while motioning with her hand. I put down the soda and the chips I had selected and said "I'm not interested in playing games today, I'm not going to purchase any food from here" Then she proceeds to call after me and says "she's coming she's coming". This used to be a great franchise in all respects. All new faces behind the counter now. The last several times I've ordered here, I sat around for 40 minutes while very few customers come in the store. So here's what I know about Jersey Mike's subs: The chain was established in 1956, they have 41 stores in VA, and they blow subway away! Yeah, it is a chain, but they serve delicious subs that rock the hero-hoagie warrior in all of us. I've never been to the Jersey Shore, but if this is the type of grub they are serving up at the Shore, then it is time to tell Snooki and The Situation to move over. It is so hard to find a good sub in the NOVA area that I had almost given up on the whole sub affair; however, Jersey Mike's Subs has restored my faith in all things subalicious. Yeah, it's a chain, but who cares when it's this good. I ordered a roast beef and turkey combo with the works. It was a hearty, delicious sub that checked all the gastronomic boxes. A sub made with the freshest ingredients is what you will get when you stop in this little sub shop. I'm ecstatic that this one has opened up just down the road from my house. My only complaint is that the parking in front of the store is rather tight and treacherous, but really this is a small price to pay for sub perfection. read more

I have never eaten at a Jersey Mike's before and threw caution to the wind last night. We ordered a meatball sub and two cheesesteaks and, honestly, they were the best cheesesteaks we've gotten in the area. The order was ready when we were told it would be ready, which we've found a rarity for takeout in this area (looking at you, Buffalo Wild Wings) and our order was perfect, despite a couple of "special requests" that we weren't sure would be fulfilled. This was my first visit to Jersey Mike's (JM) ever. I am a regular at Subway and I was expecting something similar to it. JM has less topping options than Subway. They cut the meat as order comes in. I like their mini size option. It was before my sport event and mini was the perfect size for the occasion. Even though the bread was not toasted as ordered, it still had the toasted crust texture outside and soft inside. This restaurant was very clean. I will definitely return to JM! read more

Meh was my overall feel to Jersey Mikes. The subs were OK. I thought the bread was a little too thick and needed to be toasted. The dining area was pretty dirty as I had to clean my own table off. The staff was actually stellar though. They knew about their subs and even knew a little background history about the business. In my opinion the best sub chain around right now. The meat is very fresh, craved right in front of you and the bread is nice and soft. At this location the parking is a little tough but other than that you can get in and out very quick. If you can get past the not overly clean eating area (maybe they had a lunch rush?), you will be impressed with the subs and service. Stopped here last weekend for a quick casual lunch. It was cold and rainy out, so cold subs just did not seem appealing. I ordered the chicken philly, which was prepared fresh to order (and by that I mean, compiled and toasted). Husband got a cold sub, and I was surprised/impressed that they cut their deli meat fresh when you order. They have a few topping options (lettuce, tomato, spicy peppers) but not as extensive as Subway or Quiznos. My philly was good -- melty cheese and tasty chicken deli meat. However, I will say that a problem I have in a lot of sub shops is that their bread to meat ratio is skewed. So much bread and so little meat! Mike's was no exception. Still, I do think the quality of meat and bread a bit higher than Subways, and the staff was very friendly and efficient. I'd come back to try a cold sub. read more
