They feature unique housemade flavors, and have vegan and gluten free options. On my most recent visit, I got a kid's scoop of the banana pudding ice cream, which was very tasty. The kid's scoop is tiny but it was perfect for me since I just wanted a small treat. They also have an ice cream flight, which is a fun idea. I liked the interesting drinks for sale in the cooler, including a few I'd never seen before. You can customize your ice cream with all kinds of toppings, or get it in a homemade waffle cone. There is a small seating area in the back or some spots in the front on the sidewalk. I will say that over the past several times I've visited, the service has not been the warmest. I don't love feeling like I'm a bother or not welcomed in to a place that should be as joyful as an ice cream shop.

Definitely way more than enough to split. I hadn't had this flavor before and it was delightful, with nice natural lemon flavor and cheesecake taste. Prices are great - the mini was only $3! The chocolate ice cream was less smooth than I recall but that may have been due to the Twix addition. The add-ins seemed to make it all a little grainy in my flurry, but my wife's flurry didn't have that issue. There was also a notable difference in amounts given. Mine is pictured while my wife's was filled to the very brim. We ordered the same size. Normally I get a regular twist with sprinkles and I think I'll stick to that moving forward. Since we've been there before we knew to bring cash, but the gal behind us in line didn't know. It's a little inconvenient to be cash only, but it's their businesses choice. The staff were kind and we got out ice cream quickly. All in all not my favorite ice cream shop in town, but it does what it needs to in a pinch and when I don't want to drive further for a cone.

It all started on a smoky, 87 degree Saturday in July when our camping plans got a rain check and we were open for a good time. Big Mini Putt Club was initially discussed but nixed because we weren't feeling the downtown vibe or $12 a person/9 holes. Then, we looked up AJ's mini golf but they had a private event scheduled. Yelp suggested Double Dip and after one ring, the employee on the telephone sold us with $3.50/person for 18 holes and recommended we come before 7p (thanks for the tip!). We parked, watched the first half of England vs. France at Walker Roadhouse and walked right over to the Depot. The course was perfect (no waiting around and lots of shade) for our 4 year old who got her first hole in one on the 15th! The ice cream/cone of ice came out quick (no line either) at 6:30p and we had our choice of picnic tables with umbrellas to enjoy. Overall, great family date night! We rarely frequent the west side, besides for the zoo, but will have to plan another trip before the summer ends.
