oh so oh so oh so cuuuute! The smell upon walking in is mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmgood. It makes you want to try everything. And they dont' just have icecream . They have shakes, malts, pies, candy, chocolate covered bananas. it's heaven. And it's affordable. I got two giant scoops of ice cream in a giant waffle cone, and it was $2.99 hello, are we back in the '60s? I haven't bought ice cream that good for that cheap, in that quantity, ever! I had espresso delight and cookies and cream. yummmmm. They also have a patio and the whole place is just uber adorable. read more

My daughter and I love to walk her several times a week (don't judge, I'm burning calories walking). It's a quaint little place with the feel of a real ice cream parlor. The line is usually crazy long. The flavor choices are great and they have candy and other goodies as well. I recommend the frozen cheesecake or a frozen oreo. I believe it's the only ice cream shop in EGR. read more

This is an awesome ice cream shop. I loved my choice although it was a little overwhelming. I would recommend going with one scoop at first. I made the choice of going with two scoops. I did not know that the sizes were a bit exaggerated. I actually needed to get a cup in order to hold all the ice cream. It was a good problem to have though! The environment made me feel like a kid again. It's a nice place to go if you have kids. I would also say that its a nice place to stop by and go for a walk around the area with your ice cream! read more

Went there a couple weeks after opening for the season. Never been here before. I love finding places that serve hard ice cream in many different flavors to create a banana split with. They are so much better than your typical split that way. My wife got a sundae as usual, but she also likes to mix it up a bit too. We will be back. read more

It's a cute shop, and the ice cream I had was good but the service was really slow, and the girls behind the counters were pretty rude. Maybe it was just an off day, but I won't be going out of my way to come back any time soon. (PS 3 stars is generous but I felt giving it 2 stars was a little harsh) read more

Everybody loves this place, with good reason: It's wonderful. Hudsonville ice cream, candy, and other desserts at fair prices and with good portions. The only downside is that it's very busy at peak times -- but worth the wait! read more

Great local business. I've been going ever since I was a kid. Jersey Junction offers a cute, quaint ice cream/soda fountain feel. Its always busy in the summer, so be prepared for long lines. They serve Hudsonville ice cream (GR folks know). You can get single, Jersey (1.5 scoop), or double scoops in regular, sugar, and waffle cones. They are very generous with their portions, and I love the sugar cones. I do wish they would change their flavors once in a while, or serve different flavors. Eric, for example, loves pistachio, but they don't have it. Mostly its chocolate mixed with nuts or peanut butter, a few sherbet options, kids options like Superman or Blue Moon, etc. A variety would be nice. Jersey Junction is located in Gaslight Village, a cute couple of blocks to walk around, bike, or shop. Nice place for a date as well. Bottom line: Fun place to go in the summer. Enjoy! Mind over matter, food over mind. read more

Ok, what's wrong with eating a chocolate banana!? Dang can't a guy eat a chocolate banana and not get funny looks? Anyways, this place serves lots and lots of ice cream. They can serve it to you in a variety of sizes, in cups or in waffle cones. They also have a lot of candy from the 90's (nostalgia!!). I only had the banana so I don't know about the rest of the stuff, but this place was packed so I assume it was good and very popular. And you can just grab your treat and walk around the neighborhood, since it's like a Royal Oak for us East Siders. Honestly nothing more to say. A rustic, popular sweet treat shop. read more

Best ice cream shop ever! I grew up coming here every summer. The hand dipped ice cream is amazing and the waffle cones are not only yummy but interesting to watch them make! The little train that runs around the top of Jersey Junction is the cherry on top of the ambience of the shop. I brought my daughter here three years ago when she was one and I showed her a picture from that trip when she was one and she said "mom that's the ice cream shop!" and she wanted to go back to get more ice cream. Take it from the four year old who remembers getting ice cream there when she was one folks! Jersey Junction is a must go to in East Grand Rapids - Gaslight Village for any summer trip or just because you live in Grand Rapids. read more

Tried this place out this past weekend; a bit pricey for my taste. I've been to other ice cream shops here in the city where the ice cream was just as good or even better but not as pricey as this one. read more

Great customer service, and the watermelon sherbert that I had ordered was really good. The price is reasonable, and there are a ton of flavors to choose from. There was a long line, but the service went surprisingly fast. read more

This was my second time going here and I enjoyed it both times. The service was patient and friendly; the environment was laid back- you can either sit outside or indoors. There is a wide selection of ice cream and other treats. I don't eat dairy, so I was very happy to see the had a couple of sorbet's and 3 vegan flavors. They also had chocolate dipped bananas, strawberries, and cheesecake. I would definitely go back. read more

super yummy. very reasonably priced. the only bad side to this ice cream shop is that there tends to be a long line- however it is not the shop's fault and the ice cream is always worth the wait! read more

The ice cream is always fresh and delicious. The staff is prompt and friendly. The store is so cute and charming inside! You can tell the new owners are doing a great job on the up-keep. It would be so great if they would offer a kid-size scoop at a kid-size price. It's silly for the employees to say "we can give you less than the single scoop but we are still charging the same amount." It so nice that they are only allowing 5 people inside at a time. A Masks REQUIRED sign would be even better. read more

A fun and quaint little ice cream/sweet shop in Gaslight Village. There are lots of flavor offerings ranging from traditional to unique. There are also all sorts of candies and other sweets you can buy. The scoops are very generous. Plenty of room to sit inside with nostalgic decor and also outdoor seating when the weather is nice. read more

This is a great place to bike to in the summer. The ice cream is awesome and they have lots of great candy. You just have to dodge the lacrosse sticks and the hot moms to get in the door, but it's worth it. read more

This is the cutest ice cream parlor. They have delicious flavours [too many to choose from] and there is always something for everyone. They also have a great candy selection for the kids. It gets really busy in the summer so if you want ice cream you may be in for a small wait-but its worth it. read more

Definitely a fan of this great little sweet shop in the Gaslight Village. The ice cream scoops are big and they do have a few vegan ice cream options for those who don't do dairy (the coconut ice cream is especially good.) There are all kinds of candies for those who aren't in the mood for ice cream, and even some frozen, chocolate-covered items such as fruit, cheesecake or cookies. My only issue with the chocolate-covered fruit "kabobs" is that the fruit that's used tends to taste like it was on the verge of going bad before it was frozen and covered with chocolate, so I don't get those anymore. Other than that, it's a great little place that the kids really enjoy. And I do too! read more

They have pumpkin ice cream in the fall! (Don't question it, it is amazing.) If pumpkin isn't your thing don't worry, they have tons of other selections. This is a fun place to go on a warn day. Wish there was more seating. Be prepared for lots of kiddies. read more

Fun local ice cream shoppe - yes, with 2 p's and an e. Old fashioned parlor in back with oldtime bentwood chairs and small tables, and outdoor seating, if you're so inclined. The lines can be long, but it's not the kind of place where you should mind that. Get a pint from the grocery if you do. :-p The flavors are many, and you can get a wide variety of cones, some dipped, some dipped & sprinkled. It's a fun summer tradition. read more

I have been going to jersey junction since I can remember. When I was little my old house was in east Grand Rapids and we would walk to jersey junction all the time. This is the place to come to on a hot day. Or even a cold day, it's worth it. I highly recommend this place and hope you try it. read more

Damn good ice cream! Fun environment too! Check out line moves slow... So be patient.

One of the best ice cream places in Grand Rapids. They have an ample selection of flavors and are priced very fairly for the quality and quantity of the ice cream. I love to look around at the old -time signs around the dining area. They make their own waffle cones there and can often see them making them when you visit. read more

Can't wait for summer every year so we can go to Jersey Junction. They have great ice cream and very generous portions.

The ice cream is expensive. The selection isnt huge. There is usually a line out the door. Just go if you are near. Being there is like turning back the clock 40 years. Bring your kind dog, sit anywhere you can outside. Lick away like you were 10 years old again. JJ is an institution in EGR read more

I came across JJ as I was driving by, and this happened to be the only ice cream place open at the time. I tried their birthday cake in a waffle cone and it was the best bithday cake I have ever had. Pieces of yellow cake mixed in the ice cream. Their serving is huge, and I never get more than one scoop. I keep going back to get more birthday cake. Next on my list is cake batter. read more

We stopped by late one night when the store was closed, all bummed. But the owner was walking by and stopped to let us in. After hearing our love for Jersey Junction and what a terrible day my boyfriend had (which left him in need of ice cream) he insisted we take the ice cream on the house. This place reminds me why I love local businesses and made me love this shop even more. The ice cream is the best we've found, but the ownership and their care of the community will keep me coming back. Bravo Jersey Junction! read more

Part of the GR experience. Candy, ice cream and even food. Cute place, kids like it and the train that runs around the cieling.
