They explained what needed adjustments etc. There were other services that we could have gotten done but they were not necessary for the kind of ride we use. They were transparent with what kind of work needed to get done, basically. We bought both of our kids' bikes here. They are pretty nice bikes. One outgrew her kiddie bike and the other still needs training wheels. Prices were fair to market value plus we liked their selections. Just to clarify. The tune ups and the purchases for the bikes were separate occasions. Different teammates helped us but same excellent service. They also carry snowboarding/skiing gear and have off season sales! Just had a very disappointing experience with the shop. I had bought a vintage bike and I brought…read moreit to the shop to have some repairs. It needed new handlebars and I wanted the seat and brakes fixed. They recommended I sell it and buy a different bike that I liked. I told them I liked this one and wanted to fix it. That should have been my first clue. They gave me an estimate, which I agreed to, and I left a deposit. I picked it up the next day, brought it home, and took a test ride. The brakes slow the bike down but don't stop it. I looked at the brake pads/shoes and they're the same dried-out ones it came in with. I called Pro Pedals thinking it was an oversight but no. They didn't replace them because "it's an old bike and they didn't think I'd want to spend the money". Um, I wouldn't have brought it in if I wasn't willing to spend the money. They then argued with me that the bike is old and the parts are old. ???? Well, yeah, maybe that's why they should have been replaced. They could not give me any reason for not fixing the brakes except that the bike was old and they didn't think I wanted to spend the money. They did eventually offer to replace the brakes for free but I was furious by then and have no desire to go back. I've been there before and had no problems. I honestly think that, because it's not a top of the line bike, they just didn't want to be bothered. If they thought I would be worried about the cost, they certainly could have called me and asked. But the didn't. They just sent me home with an unsafe bike, simply because it's old. They even told me they don't usually ask for a deposit but they did this time because it was an older bike.
