I said "is there a problem?" He said "no I have to go pick up my dog ", but in a very rude abupt manner - his aggressive behavior made me feel so uncomfortable and unwelcoming , I didn't want to buy anything at that point. The store hours on a Sunday are 10am to 6pm. The owner should consider his help is not helping his revenue and should want someone whom cares more about their customers than there individual personal needs. or how about just be nice to the customer and say something like "I am so sorry I have to close for a short time is there something I can help you decide on" rather than approaching me with such an aggressive manner and like "make it quick and get out. Think about the help you hire who cares more for themselves than your business. I will never return to this store.

I want to thank Shaker Workshops for its very prompt and courteous customer service recently…read more We're very long-time purchasers from Shaker Workshops -- probably 30 years or more. I haven't counted them, but we probably own 30 or more items from the catalog -- the child's rocker, several tape-back rockers, several arm chairs, the Shaker wall clock, 4 or 5 of the lovely ceramic lamps, a couple of dozen Shaker boxes and carriers, among others. We've also purchased many items as Christmas gifts for our children. Recently, our oldest daughter's home suffered a fire and she lost nearly all of the Shaker items. We salvaged the cherry floor lamp, but discarded the electronics. I requested replacement electronics from Shaker Workshops and customer service kindly mailed them out very quickly and at no cost. It was much appreciated. Since the company's purchase by Tappan Chair Company several years ago, the Shaker Workshops catalog has shrunk considerably, to our chagrin, and we sincerely hope that it increases its menu of items in the coming years.
