I came here with a friend on a Friday night. This is her local seafood hangout, and wow, the staff…read moresure knew her, lol. We had a great time. We sat at the bar, and everyone was awesome. The oysters were excellent. We had a dozen Mapeques ($1.50 special) then 1/2 doz Fanny Bays (my friend likes the huge ones... whereas anything that large needs to be cooked for me) and 1/2 doz... something from the Eastern US that was good. Their mixed shellfish fry plate was quite tasty. We also had their calamari, which was better than any other I've had in a long time. If you like fried calamari, this is the one to have. If you are iffy about it, definitely have it here, because it's excellent. And just to keep the deep fried theme going, we had a side of fries, lol. We ended up making friends with the couple beside us at the bar. Shots were had, friendships made. More shots ensued... Now we are going to see them perform with their band at Massey Hall at the end of May. The things that happen on a Friday night! The staff were fabulous. Very friendly. I was absolutely shocked by how cheap our bill was for all the food and booze we had! I actually asked the guy to make sure he hadn't forgotten anything because it seemed wrong! Anyway, I look forward to my next visit.

I heard a lot of good things about their pasta so I was really excited to try out this place! While I don't know if it lived up to the hype for me, it was definitely a solid pasta. It wasn't too heavy, and the flavours worked well together. Surprisingly I liked the steak way more. It was cooked perfectly, and the fries were nice and crisp :) One thing to note though is some of our oysters were not the most fresh... there was a mix of good and some bad oysters, but we did have a big group so it could also be they were running out of supply.

We came with a group of 10 people and ordered 6 main/entrée dishes to share family style. Let me tell you this: THE PORTIONS ARE HUGE! You get a lot of bang for your buck here for sure. Even with 10 people, we couldn't finish the 6 entrees that we ordered. We also ordered 3 sides to share, and even those were portioned generously. The star of the show is definitely their Samaka Seafood Soup. 100% recommend getting this. You will not regret it! Rich and creamy seafoody goodness. Even the ones in our group who don't usually like cream really enjoyed the soup. The Sea Bream Singari Style fish also blew us all away. The Sea Bream was so buttery and juicy, and the cooking style was so flavourful. All the other dishes were also amazing and cooked to perfection. There is nothing to complain about anything at all. The only thing I would recommend is maybe skipping/substituting some of the rice for another side. The rice is great, but it's best when eaten with something else for the best flavour. There's so much rice that there's simply not enough food to pair it with. There was only one waitress working on the night that we went, and there was about 4 other tables, so she was pretty busy. It took a while and multiple reminders for us to give us water to our table, but we understood that it was busy and she was trying her best. I definitely recommend coming here with a big group so that you can try lots of different dishes!

Otherwise the flavour inside was good. Prices were reasonable. I had higher expectations for this. Slightly disappointed with the meal overall. I have it as an average to maybe marginally average quality meal.

The restaurant is a decent size with a cozy and relaxing ambiance. We ordered some of the most popular dishes, and everything that came out was absolutely delicious. Every dish had its own unique flavour and taste. There was a small mix-up with our order when one of the staff accidentally brought us tofu shrimp instead of the fried rice we ordered. Amy, one of the servers/managers, handled the situation so professionally. Even though it was already last call and the kitchen was closing, she was able to have the correct dish remade for us. She sincerely apologized for the mistake and even gave us a complimentary plum drink along with some butter cranberry cookies. Amy provided exceptional customer service and was absolutely awesome throughout the experience. Despite the long wait, the food and service made it worth it. I would definitely recommend this place and will for sure be coming back!

The crab itself is meaty and fresh, and the bread for dipping makes the sauce the meal's most dangerous feature. Gloves provided; dignity optional. The room is casual, the service attentive and good-humoured. They get busy, so come early or on a weekday. By all accounts from fellow diners, the black pepper and salted egg yolk preparations are equally worth the trip back. I'll be taking their word for it -- soon.

Given that much of the Middle East borders the Mediterranean, the lack of Middle Eastern seafood in Toronto is sad - but Ghadir Fish does its part in representation! They get 4.5 stars. Jumbo shrimp were grilled over charcoal. They were very fragrant & pretty tasty. It came with 3 (!) sides. Rice was good - fluffy & spiced with a noticeable cumin flavour. It was not salty despite its look. Batata Harra (spicy potatoes) were good: a bit crispy. The dish also came with bread (for the baba ganoush, maybe) so don't overload on carbs with your choice of sides. The bread was a bit old & pre packaged but I just took it as a bonus anyway. The baba ganoush itself was decent. Portions are big here. If you choose mixed vegetables they're just tossed with olive oil and garlic. The red sauce on the side was slightly spicy - more tart. It was good too. You can get whole fish sold by weight here too. They have some Middle Eastern drinks, like Mirinda Green Apple from Egypt & Mirinda Citrus from Saudi Arabia.

Great experience

We pre-ordered one of the steam pot combos, which came with many different kinds of dishes ranging from raw, steamed, and braised. Geoduck sashimi - Not bad Birds nest and fish maw soup - I honestly didn't remember much from it, so it wasn't anything special. Abalone with black truffle salt - I mean I'm a sucker for abalone, so I liked it. I wouldn't say it's the best I've had. Steamed lobster body - Good Deep fried lobster head with chili - Good Vancouver jumbo crab - Wasn't crazy over it Steamed fresh green bass fish - I didn't like the concept for this one as there were way too many bones still intact inside. Chicken in rice wine sauce - Was not a fan. Vegetables - Can never say no to it especially after eating this much seafood. Braised noodle with abalone sauce - Good We did have a dish where we found a long piece of hair. The manager did apologize and he ended up serving us the rest of the night to ensure nothing else went wrong. Averaging out the entire combo, I do believe 3 stars is a fair rating. I don't see myself recommending this place to others, especially when the seafood restaurant competition is excellent in the GTA.
