The person I talked to on the phone seemed to have every excuse and every reason why I shouldn't hire them and that my job might not be within their help. It's a bathroom remodel, supposedly the very thing they specialize in. I asked to speak to the owner, but she refused. This is the kind of crap that makes me not want to hire someone all this before they even looked at the job, I told them not to bother. I need someone that actually wants to work.

I needed to find someone capable of moving the hookups to the garage, and preferably someone who could do it immediately. I answered a survey on Yelp after searching for a handyman in the area and Chris was one of the people that responded. He gave an honest bid, stuck to it, and got the work done in a very timely manner. He's very knowledgeable about what he does, and even made some recommendations of other work we need to have done. It didn't feel as if he was trying to make more money, but more that he genuinely cared about our family and having a safe home. I would recommend Chris to anyone who needs anything done in their home whether it be a remodel, electrical work, a light bulb changed, anything.

Called multiple contractors for bids to replace and retexture the ceiling drywall. Scott was comparable on price but the only one to give a written estimate. I like tangibles, it protects us both. He also helped us find a plumber who fixed the pipes. Scott told me that each step would take about 15 mintues of work and 24 hours to dry. He set my expectations correctly. However, in the last step, he was not too pleased on how it was drying and stated the next day, he might do a little corrective work therefore be a day behind. True enough, the next day he did not like how it had dried and perfomed his corrective work. I LOVE this attention to detail (since I have to look at it for the next 30 years) and I also appreciate setting my expectations BEFORE they impact me. I would use him again and again...I have been burned by people in this community in the past (with some many people moving in and out, I feel like the businesses have a whole new customer base every 3 years and don't need to focus on customer service or their reputation, hopefully with Yelp, we can keep the good ones in business and drive the crooks out of business!)
