The tasting we had featured both reds and whites. Some I enjoyed, others weren't for me, but I was able to find great wines to take back for my husband and for my mother. The tasting was presented by one of the owners, and he had a vast knowledge of winemaking and also some great stories! I was not impressed by the labeling, but this seems to be very common among small local wineries. For me, the presentation of a wine bottle is important not only for gifting but when you are enjoying a bottle for yourself. The Vineyard also has a small gift shop with wine related items, some of which were rather unique. On the tour, I was surprised to see thick plastic containers for fermenting the wine rather than the traditional barrels. I learned more than I expected to about a process I know fairly well. Overall, this was a nice local vineyard with some good options. I can't say that I would necessarily drive there just to visit, but it's a nice stop on a ride through rural Iowa.

We were seated shortly after, but no one came to greet us or take our order until 8:40 PM. We were looking forward to trying the food, but after the long wait and reading previous reviews about food taking a while, we decided to head to another restaurant rather than risk an even longer evening. I understand restaurants can get busy, but better communication and more attentive service would have made a big difference. We were disappointed not to get to try the food and hope the experience improves for future guests.

The crowd was an eclectic mix of vets, hipsters, a few hospital employees, some locals, grad students and one particular member of the 103rd Infantry Division from WWII. They had Karaoke and the singing/rapping was inspired (e.g. 'Bust a Move'). The beer was inexpensive ($5 pitchers) and the dancing was contagious. The best part about the place was that there seemed to be no tension whatever between the different groups within the crowd. Everyone was having fun.

Also a pool hall with leagues and such. I used to come here as a junior high kid when they had dances and pizza. It's truly been a staple of the east side IC hood for years. High school football banquets, graduation Parties, proms, weddings. I thought the staff is pretty damn nice and cool. You ll occasionally get a free beer if you make nice. The drinks and bar food are also pretty cheap. 3 bucks for a premium draft. Keep on trucking first avenue club!!!

The space isn't fancy at all but it works for smaller bands. The bathrooms aren't very nice and there is never any paper towels which drives me nuts. The bar staff is usually pretty quick and I've never had to wait too long to get served. Although last time I was there they ran out of Busch Light. I know you probably think I'm too cool to drink that stuff but the truth is I'm not. I love that cheap beer. Prices for drinks are pretty fair.

Cinnamon rolls were pretty good - soft dough, icing was a little sweet though and I would have liked more cinnamon filling. Pretty good deal, a pan for $6. Kolaches are inedible. This is a cool place!…read more I found it on Yelp nearby my grandfather's nursing home. I had a few hours to kill so I walked here and back. Very nice décor and I like that all the coffee is pour-over on demand. You can choose various kinds of coffee and get 'em after a little while. And at Starbucks I'm used to asking for a cup of water since I've walked a long ways, but here they have a carafe of cold water ready to go. That's good for me. I forget what my coffee was called (second from the top) but it was really really good! I was thinking about doing another whole (16oz) cup of it, but I had to go back.
