However, I'm not sure whether it may be a bit intimidating for people starting to dabble in cheese. The staff responded well to my knowledgeable questions but a newbie could be overwhelmed by the sheer variety of cheeses, meats and wine on offer They do different sized platters of meats and cheeses that you can eat in, which are perfect for a little snack or even a large snack!

You can smell the shop before you've even opened the door, I can only imagine that the people working here have no sense of smell left whatsoever! They don't seem to mind though, I always find them to be helpful with a real passion for what they are selling. True cheese experts. You can ask to try anything on display (they are more than happy to let you do so) and then buy by weight. Try the Muscat jelly too, great for topping off the perfect cheese. They also offer an online delivery service if you're buying too much to carry home (hey cheese is heavy you know!) and a really useful 'Ask The Expert' page where you can e-mail them all things cheesy. Great for when you're not sure which wine will go with your new purchase. And as the blackboard in the window says, "What's a party without cheese?"

I remember visiting as a child and though the massive artistic displays of various kinds of foods appear long gone, it is still a mecca of all things food! From decadent chocolates to beautiful pastries, caviar, preserves, a juice bar, a cheese bar - there is something for everyone. We stopped off at the coffee bar to enjoy a quick snack! It's a little pricey for what you get even by Harrods standards - 3 pastries, a bagel sandwich, 2 lattes a beer and a glass of champagne was over 120 pounds/ 150 dollars but an enjoyable last day treat nonetheless less! The pastries were spectacular!! Service was lovely and friendly and it's something you can enjoy on a vacation!

I decided to take the most expensive sandwich- lobster roll on brioche bread. Ops sorry I'm lying, wagyu was more expensive but it was looking way dead. So lobster roll was super dry, small piece of lobster on the top wasn't that good, if to be honest he was close to be spoiled. And inside of my sandwich it was an egg salad with small tiny lobster parts. Brioche bread was old. Honestly I'm happy that I received this experience, I will remember that forever : ) will I recommend to go there - YES No seats are available so just figure out where you will eat that overpriced food

They have a fantastic range, and the lady in the shop was perfectly happy to chat and let us try samples and tell us all about the different cheeses. They also have a little offcuts basket, so if you want to buy little pieces for 75p a go, you can take small pieces of cheese instead. It's a hidden gem - my partner and I have now started a cheese fund so we can treat ourselves here every now and then!

Of course we stopped to look, being from Wisconsin, and they looked up, smiled at us, then went on their way working. On the way back past the store, we had a go in! It's tiny, separated by a plastic curtain into a refrigerated area holding hundreds of varieties of European cheeses. Since we typically stop in the afternoon for a cheese snack, we thought we would buy some and take them back to the flat. We chose a Shropshire blue, Emmental from Switzerland and a soft cheese from France. The store was spotless, these ladies were very accommodating and knowledgeable and for 12 Bucks bought enough for a few days. The recommendations were excellent. This store is highly recommended on your trip to London.

The cheese portions were generous. - 42 month Gouda: a bit creamy but wonderful flavor - A French Alpine cheese - probably my favorite - Montgomery British cheddar - British Suffolk Brie: definitely worth trying - it can stand up to any French brie They had a pretty good wine selection for such a small place. We did a Nebbiolo for £8 and a Verdicchio for £6. In the end, with the cheese, it was £24 total, which is ridiculously reasonable. I wish we could take stuff to go, but I didn't have a fridge.
