An amazing store…read more They sell exotic jerky: we purchased alligator, shark, yak, bison, and turtle jerky. They have a WIDE assortment of different kinds of meats and fish jerky. So cool! But not only do they have exotic jerky, they sell marinades, sauces, and jerky-related cooking implements. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. Additionally, they sell the jerky equivalent "craft beer" -- small time local producers of jerky. The store is clean, and fun to walk through. Why only 3 stars? The price is prohibitively expensive. I wouldn't have purchased a single thing if I didn't see something as fun and special as yak jerky. I certainly wouldn't pay these prices for beef or pork! Does high quality command high price? Yes, definitely. But there comes a point where it just becomes absurd. I saw a bag of jerky for $8 for a 1 ounce bag, which works out to be over $100 per pound. I've been eating jerky for a long time, and know it's not cheap, but $100/pound is beyond anything I've seen before. For BEEF. So, while I loved walking around the store, and think it's a veritable Mecca for us jerky lovers, and even bought some exotic jerky, I felt a little insulted by the prices here. I certainly wouldn't come back. Honestly? I'd rather go to Publix, and that makes me very sad. :(
