Great Naturopath clinic! I've been seeing Dr Brittany Tapp for the past several months, and she's…read morebeen wonderful. She's helped me with some health issues, due to vitamin deficiencies that my regular doctor never even considered. She's also given me lots of suggestions for dietary changes and supplements that would be beneficial. To top it off shes extremely nice and made me feel comfortable, which is important to me. Highly recommended!

This was my worst blood draw experience in 37 years. I've never had issues with needles or blood…read moredraws, but Rida Wang (ND) was remarkably inept compared to even the most mediocre phlebotomists and nurses I've encountered in the past. I thought it was weird that a naturopath was doing a blood draw, but figured she must know what she's doing if she's confident enough to offer it as a service and had a student shadowing her. Boy was I wrong. She took an unnecessarily large needle, dug and twisted it in my right arm every which way and somehow still failed to locate a vein while causing intense pain. I literally had to yell, "STOP!" She then switched over to my left arm and eventually managed to draw 2 tubes of blood, but not without significant discomfort. The veins in both of my arms ended up feeling like they were on fire and were heavily bruised. This was also the first blood draw where I've had someone take a pen to mark the corners of my vein so that she wouldn't "miss with the needle". After I complained about them on Google, Rida Wang sent a formal document to me saying that neither she nor her student noticed my discomfort, which I vigorously dispute. Are you telling me with your "20 years of experience", you can't even tell when a patient yells stop, that they're in pain? A true professional would have explained upfront that they weren't that experienced and either offered an alternative or asked if I'd be okay with them practicing on me. However, Rida Wang claims that she's a seasoned professional who has "over 200" blood draws under her belt. This really only made the matter worse because if she's done this over 200 times, then there's even less of an excuse to have missed the mark so terribly. The only solution they offered me was a complimentary 15 minute session with Rida Wang for the bruising -- but why would I want that from a person who couldn't even do a basic blood draw? The damage has already been done. How would a consultation help with anything? Finally, I have reason to believe they're withholding results for the blood test. It's been a month, and instead of simply delivering on the product I already paid over $600 for, they requested that I either sign a waiver or book an appointment with my original naturopath, Jean Wong. As my complaint is not about her, I informed the receptionist that I had no issues booking an appointment to get my results from her. They did not provide a clear response and instead said they were following up with the doctor for next steps. This seems like unprofessional and vindictive behaviour. Don't walk away from this place. RUN. I suffered at their hands and not only did I not receive an apology, I got a wall of deflection and gaslighting, completely devoid of empathy or accountability. Patient care is clearly not their priority here.

This past week, my iud had been somewhat dislodged and I was experiencing contractions so I had to see someone to get this figured out. I was going to try going to a nearby medical clinic, as it was Saturday, but realized most doctors at clinics wouldn't want to investigate my situation as I'm on my period, and most probably wouldn't even have the experience or know-how to be able to help me at all. So I made an appointment with Dr. Kennett, who I know and trust and who has experience with this sort of thing and she was amazing at making me feel better and in the end, by removing my iud. I would highly recommend her for this type or any other type of visit. She is efficient, knowledgeable, experienced and wonderful to have as your dr.

I keep coming back as a loyal patient because Jolene's approach is the ultimate balance of professionalism, compassion and an enthusiasm for her work, as well as deep knowledge. She is a walking encyclopedia, and she conveys her wisdom and intellect through the lens of someone who really, truly cares and exhibits great passion for what she does. She has changed the way I see my health, and I will continue to see her because I enjoy her insight and her energy so much. I have learned a great deal from this amazing woman. She is unabashedly honest but always respectful, humble, and non-judgemental. For breast exams and pap smears, no one comes close. I have major body image issues and Jolene is always efficient and professional while at the same time going out of her way to put her patients at ease. I cannot recommend her enough- my perspective on life and my body, and my health in general has changed drastically for the better since I met her. Jolene is a rare gem- a doctor who stands in a realm all her own.

I was able to book a free consult to meet the doctor see if we get along, talked about treatments to see if we were on the same wave length. The ND's are very open-minded here and knowledgable which is so refreshing, no one is power tripping in white coats like other MD's I've seen. After the free consult I did book in. When we talked about treatment plan Dr. Natalie Rahr was very understanding, not everyone can afford certain treatments so we worked together to find a good midway point. It was the first time a doctor actually listened to me. Overall, loved my experience at the clinic and the philosophy they practice by. Also noticed they have cancer care at the clinic and I had a chance to talk to another patient about the cancer treatments they offer. He was extremely happy with the results. Definitely recommend this clinic if you're looking for integrative medicine.

They gave me a shorter form to complete at the center which took less than 2 minutes to fill. The RMT was professional and focused on the pain points. The massage was dealing enough that I actually dozed off which is uncharacteristic for me. The only thing that irked me a little was that they listed the RMT as a sales rep on the receipt. Other than that, I absolutely loved this place.

I've since seen several different RMTs here, and have been pleased with the results each time. I usually go for basic maintenance; my hips have a tendency to become misaligned, and I've been properly re-adjusted every time. Last year I strained my achilles tendon, and the RMTs at Tonume definitely helped to speed up my recovery. They were also life-savers after I had surgery on my wrist this past summer. I had to do everything with my non-dominant hand/arm, and those poor muscles were not used to all the stress. I don't know what I would have done without regular massages on my arm and back then! I've also gone just to get some quiet relaxation time in. Some of the RMTs are a bit chatty, but I find if I mention I would like to relax when I'm booking an appointment, they are a bit quieter once the massage has started. It used to be fairly easy to just walk in or call and get an appointment with very short notice. In the past few months I've found it's gotten a lot more difficult to book, so be sure to book in advance (especially towards the end of the year when everyone is trying to use up their benefits). They do have an online booking system, which is usually handy, but it did fail on me once, which made for a particularly disappointing afternoon when I showed up only to find I didn't actually have an appointment. Be sure to double check!
