another big shout out to dr.seema kanwal. here is some more reasons why she kicks ass when it…read morecomes to a genuine caring doctor: i have had a few bad episodes after treatments... one time she sent one of the ladies that work there (eva, bless her sweet soul) to my house because i was not picking up the phone to make sure i was okay. eva stayed with me, made me tea, cut me some fruit and gave me a heat pad and made sure i was bundled up. another time, after going through another similar episode, both dr.kanwal and eva came by and she administered some homeopathic medicines for me...took my blood pressure and stayed with me again until she was sure i was going to be okay. eva again made me tea and other caps were left for me to take upon waking up to make me feel better. and finally, just today, after another treatment, dr.kanwal made me stay for a while- took my blood pressure a couple times, made sure i ate, and when she still wasn't 100% sure about leaving me to my own, she drove me home. yes, that is my naturopathic doctor....super caring and genuinely puts YOU above anything else. if only half of the doctors out there cared a TENTH of this amount, i bet more of us would be treated better.

Dr Wang has been treating my mom with both acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, and our entire family has noticed a huge difference in the appearance of her eyes! At the same time, she's been getting treatment for insomnia and the chronic lower back pain, and received reallt good results as well. Dr Wang is a lovely person, and is very patient with explaining the treatments to my mom, and ensuring her comfort every time. Her clinic is clean and comfortable. The only thing is that sometimes parking can take a little bit of time to find, but it's always worth it!

I perpetually struggled with blocked sinuses and my sinuses would get blocked at the drop of a hat making life quite difficult. My allergic tendencies had gone one step worse creating skin issues after my delivery. All together I felt it was necessary to work on the root cause and not just treat the symptoms with steroids or antihistamines. I was referred to Dr. Amber Sereda and she was wonderful. I love how she heard me out and focused on my health in a wholesome way. She took time to hear me out and asked me questions to understand my body which was quite a unique experience. The she started her treatment plan which involved some diet changes and medicines. It took a few weeks before I started seeing significant change. But now I can say Dr. Amber has definitely helped my sinuses to get to a healthier place and I feel much more energetic and healthy and well than I did before seeing her. I am very grateful to Dr. Amber and Aumakua for getting me to a healthier place in life. Now I can do various simple things like wash my hair, get wet in the rain, wake up in the morning without feeling all clogged up, get through my day without sneezing fits and a running nose and generally enjoy having much healthier looking skin. I was SO lucky to be referred to Dr. Brian Yau here (and lucky that he was taking new patients, too). In the past, when I lived in Seattle, it took me a while to find doctors and dentists that I "clicked" with. I always felt that it takes a team effort - me and my doctor, - to be most effective in my staying/being healthy. So it's critical that I'm comfortable with my doctor to talk openly with him or her. It's in my best interest to "click" with him/her. And it's critical that he/she be knowledgeable, receptive, accessible and helpful. Bonus if the office staff is friendly and works with me and my schedule. Dr. Yau and his office staff are all these things, and more. They've fit me in the Dr's schedule ASAP when I needed to be seen. Dr. Yau is working with my WA doctors to follow up on past conditions and provide continuity of care. He takes the time to patiently go over all the many ways the system here differs from that in the States, and helps me navigate my way here re: blood work, referrals to other medical specialists, etc. He's also been incredibly helpful for my daughter, too. Another bonus here: Dr. Yau is incredibly prompt. (I always get irked when kept waiting and waiting, appointment after appointment, at doctors' and dentists' offices. It's as if my time isn't respected at all. Sure, once in a while is understandable but when it happens regularly, it really rubs me the wrong way). Dr. Yau has always seen me within 5 minutes of our appointment time. To me, that is yet another sign that he cares about his patients. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Yau and the office staff here. My only caveats (which are admittedly minor): no free parking or validated parking here, and no wi-fi in the office (bummer). Otherwise, this practice here is stellar. I consider myself super lucky to be a patient here.

It took me years to find a Dr that would take on new patients and to luck out and find the most amazing Dr in the city is just amazing! The reception is great, they are friendly and helpful. After being to a lot of clinics with extremely rude receptionists this really tips the scales in their favor! They always work with me to find an appointment that will suit my schedule which is really important for me since I don't live or work close to the office (but it's worth the travel!) I believe one of the locums I saw Dr. Bergman now works in the office as well so if you are looking for a male Dr he is also amazing!

My wife initially went to see her for fertility, but Fion was also able to help her with headaches, muscle pain and stress.
