First time customer and LAST time customer. They are liars. Make promises they don't keep. Say a blade sharpen would be one week. Then denied ever saying it. Promised mower would be done Friday and they would call. No call. Excuse was the guy that does the calling was off on Friday. Well I think they should have more than one person doing the calling backs. Monday morning owner called about when mower was going to be done. They said in the afternoon. Then they called back in a 1/2 hour and said it was done! Flaky people who don't care about their customers except if you are commercial then they said they do commercial first then the homeowner! That's just wrong. Had the mower at least 4 weeks just for a blade sharpen! Do Not Deal with these liars. read more

Visited their location on Blackstone Avenue, have dropped off several Stiehl Backpack blowers and 2 commercial scag mowers. The service department completely destroyed both blowers, which we took back to where they were originally purchased, and they were warrantied and replaced. Furthermore, they have had my scagg for over 2 months claiming their techs were out with covid. They charged me $279 dollars to align the hydraulics and replace a band, $149 to rotate blades and an additional $40 to sharpen dull blades. They just tried to haggle my team for additional funds. I have called and spoken to the Service manager, and he has no clue as to what's going on or time frames to complete a repair. We rely on skilled labor to complete an effective repair, but it's such a waste of time and resources to deal with unprofessional shops such as this one. Please save your time and money and do not go here! Will be uploading pictures of all damaged equipment and receipts as well as quotes! read more

Customer service is absolutely horrible. If anything you needs requires any effort, you may want to look somewhere else. Lazy, and unprofessional. Went in for a simple gasket kit, one employee kept giving me prices on mowers, while the other refused to even look up the part number. read more

I've been buy my lawn and wood cutting items here for years now and they've proven to be very customer friendly. Whether you are shopping for a chain saw, lawn mower or just a shovel you'll find the best brands here. Personally I've bought chain saws and weed eaters here and with the service department, you can be assured that they'll keep your tools running and in top condition. Stihl, Honda, Echo or Husqvarna...it doesn't matter you'll be happy you shopped here...I know I am. read more

I try to give local businesses a fair shake, but I honestly can't anymore. We brought our lawnmower for a simple fix; the pull-string needed a replacement handle. We were quoted 3 *weeks* just for it to be looked at, it took almost a month for them to replace a simple handle. Not to mention the price that we were charged. Unfortunately we made the mistake of bringing our weed wacker here as well. It wasn't starting so we figured it might be a different case. Wrong. Again they told us 3 weeks. I called on the morning of and was told they hadn't even gotten around to looking at it yet. Never again. read more

I use to buy all my yard equipment here even though they were a tad bit higher because they showed you how to operate the equipment and went over it all with you. I recently bought a chainsaw and I had to ask how does it start. I was told simple, just pump the bulb and pull the cord. I asked where was the choke. What happened to the customer service. Only one other person in the store while I was in there. I could of gone to the box store for that kind of service. Now I am looking at a new weed trimmer. So guess where I'm going. The box store. For the same type of service. They have lost my business. read more

I went into the Clovis store today about 10:30 with $500.00 in my pocket to buy a top end Stihl chainsaw. Two guys behind the counter talking to each other never acknowledged me. I walked around the store looking at different Chainsaws for at least 5 minutes. One guy shoveling food into his mouth while the other talked to him. I walked out as I hit the door the guy shoveling food into his mouth said " Anything we can con you out of" with his mouth full of food. WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO CUSTOMER SERVICE, WOULDNT A $500.00 + PURCHASE MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN YOU BUSINESS TODAY? WHO EVER OWNS THIS COMPANY, TEACH YOU PEOPLE HOW TO CARE FOR THE CUSTOMER OR YOU WON'T HAVE ANY TO CARE FOR. read more

Wow this place is bad. I came in to buy a chainsaw. I knew I was going to spend $700 and wanted to talk to some knowledgeable people to decide whether to go Echo, Sthil, or Husky. After 20 minutes of practically begging staff to help me, I finally left. These guys just don't seem to care. Many other customers were visually unhappy. read more

Purchased a STIHL Chainsaw, used once. The saw did not maintain idle, had it checked out, defective carburetor. The store associates themselves are friendly and attentive, but I would not recommend STIHL products. Big box stores have a generous return policy. read more

Just super disappointed in my experience this morning. I have been a customer here for years. Last year I was in need of an expensive Honda generator and came to the store , I was pretty much ignored , but that seems to be the situation these days with many businesses, and I get it , the employee pool isn't much to draw from these days. Anyway I tried to get them to match a price on a 6000$ generator and I was basically told to buy it on line. Well I did. Your loss. Anyway , I had some rodent damage and was in need of some repair. So I made the mistake of trying to bring it in this morning. I figured since they are a Honda dealer , they could fix it , wrong. I was told the generator repair man was taking some time off because the motor in is car went out and they won't have anybody there look at it for several weeks. Wow. I thought I was at business not a playground. Again I was dismissed and basically rushed out the door. Here is a hint to all the rude employees, if you just don't unlock the door in the morning, you won't be bothered by us the customers. I won't be surprised if this long and once in my opinion great business is gone before too much longer. Hate to write this review , but hate even more the way I was treated. read more

Ok so customer service in this place is great. These guys know what their talking about. Everyone here is so friendly. The equipment is unbelievably great I save so much time doing my yard. If you have not been here or go shopping at Lows or home dep. You are missing out because this is the spot to get yard tools and information. read more

Had my wife go by to pick up a spindel for my riding mower. She returned home with a rotary brand spindle available on Amazon for less than $25. there price was $63.00 plus tax. this spindle didn't even come with mounting bolts. read more

Historically they have done decent work, but now the last two times I have had them work on equipment for me, I have had to have someone else work on it to actually get it running properly. This time they didn't even attempt to hide their poor job. They claimed to have worked on the carborator and the filter had caked on flith. Overpriced and horrible results, I will never return!!! read more

This place is awful! I called in to check on availability of a mower part. I called around 4pm, was on hold for a very long time so I tried the blackstone location, they picked right up and helped me locate the part number. So I called back this Clovis store (since I am located in Clovis) at 4:45, was put back on hold, but decided I would just wait it out since they closed at 5pm anyway. After waiting on hold over 20 minutes, at 5:09pm, someone there just picked up the phone and slammed it down. Never again will I try this place or give them a penny! read more

If I could give Zero stars I would. The guys who work here just don't care. I was looking for a part for my trimmer so first I went into the store with the part and they said they didn't stock the $3 part but I could buy the entire assembly for $100. I went home and went online and figured out the part number. I called every dealer listed on the manufacturers website to see if they carried the part. No one did but every store (Including JP in Fresno) offered to order the part for me... Except for JP in Clovis. He just told me they didn't have it in stock and hung up. The employees working here are a joke and I will never use them for anything. read more

I came in to buy a chainsaw. I was going to spend upwards of $700 just like another person I saw leaving a review on here was. I asked for some advise. Man behind the counter was very nice and responsive. However, man that was out on the floor was somewhat shifty and irritable. I politely asked him a tech question on engine size and he sneered "read the tag that's on the saw" and waltzed off like a grouch. So off I went to the other Stihl dealer in town and spent my money with them. Bye bye J&P. read more

Horrible service. They move at a snails pace and don't seem to care. Dropped off our blower for routine service and was quoted about a week. We have been calling every 4-5 days to see if it is ready for pick up. We always are left on hold forever. When they finally come on the line then of course it's still not ready. Three weeks now! We plan to pick it up and get it serviced elsewhere. We used to use the J&P on Chestnut and Belmont, but that location wasn't much better. Get it together people! We have yard work to do! read more

Very poor customer service. Two guys working the counter have very poor customer skills. They need to be replaced with people actually interested in working and helping the customer and the company. The person who owns this company must be independently wealthy and not interested in growing the company with repeat customers. After waiting around while the two counter guys chatted about their personal lives, we left and spent our money elsewhere. If we could give zero stars we would. It is sad to see a company that has been around so long doing so poorly with their customers. read more

I can't really say what the quality of their actual service is, but customer service is non existent. I brought my weed wacker in to be repaired but couldn't get anyone to help or even acknowledge me. After waiting 15 minutes while employees chatted among themselves I left. read more

Total rip off. Brought my chainsaw in to have an oiler leak fixed and get some carburetor work done. Took them over two months, they totally blew it off. Every time I called them about it, it was just one lie after another. They still charged me like 85$ for parts and labor. Never coming back here again. read more
