I visited to check out their wine sections and see if I could find some bottles that aren't normally at IL's Binny's. Upon entering, they have their Cellar Selections on display. When looking at those, the wine manager, Gregory, greeted us. His service was above and beyond in helping us. Their store is organized slightly different than I'm used to with varietals and regions. Gregory helped us navigate where to find the couple of bottles we were looking for as well as make some suggestions along the way. He also offered to print out tasting sheets of the bottles we were purchasing for when we open them to enjoy. It was fun to see the staff pick signs for extra recommendations. We got some great finds and really enjoyed their selections! Tip: Most wines have a "Mix 6" deal where buying 6 or more gets you a deeper discount! Also come on the weekends for tasting samples of wines and liquors!

Don't Walk In Without an ID--Even If You're Not Buying…read more My fiancée and I were shopping for alcohol for our wedding. At checkout, she realized she had accidentally left her ID at home, so the cashier refused the sale. I was disappointed, but I understand they need to follow their policy. The frustrating part is, I drove my fiancée home, where she decided to stay. I returned to the store alone with my valid ID to complete the purchase. I was told they still wouldn't sell to me. There was no opportunity to explain that I was now shopping by myself and the conversation ended before it really began. I've been to this location many times and have been in similar situations which were handled differently, so the inconsistency was confusing. If the policy is that once a group is denied, no one from that group can return alone and complete the purchase, then that should be clearly explained. Maybe the store should only allow customers who are 21 and older inside. At least that would create a more consistent experience and avoid putting legal age customers in situations like this.

Woodman's is a great place for all of your grocery needs, if it's not here I'm not sure it exists!…read morePrices are quite competitive for many items, even not on sale. Although this is a bit far from my home, it's conveniently located near my work so I can pick up items after work. The liquor department is probably one of the biggest I've ever seen with many allocated items behind the counter and occasional raffles for the more rare allocations. The carts are big and noisy but I'll use the "small" ones if I can find one. The store can be overwhelming the first couple of times but eventually you get used to the layout. Woodmans is always busy but with the selection and prices, it's easy to see why. And even with the amount of product and people that pass through here, it's well kept and clean. My favorite departments are probably the huge produce and dairy department. Woodman's will continue to be a place I stop at for groceries and other goodies!

The Biggest and Best Selection of Grocery Items. Some Really Nice Deals. Open 24 hours. The Only…read morecomplaint I have is i use a walker, so I come in, get a scootercart, then go out to my car, which is parked in one of the handicapped spots up against the building. I put the walker in the Car, then go back in and shop. This is between 2 and 4 a.m. when I check out, I drive the scootercart out to my car, then load my groceries. They have a sign about no scootercarts are to be taken outside. I think that's Utterly Ridiculous! I'm not about to reload all my groceries into a normal cart, just to go a short distance out to the Car. If you can take a regular cart outside, why can't I ask a disabled person take a scootercart outside? Other stores have a distance limit on theirs so you can't go too far outside. And the same people who collect the carts can surely ride the scootercart back inside. I did ask the checkout lady since I was parked in the very first spot next to the door, if I could take it outside to load my groceries. She had an attitude, but said ok. That's the Only problem with Woodman's. I shop early morning bcuz there's not a lot of other shoppers.
