On my most recent visit, I found a lot of mold on most of their refrigerated items. I understand the humidity has been through the roof for the past couple of weeks but that is no excuse for keeping items like that on the shelf for sale.

Up-and-down the Isles many pastes spices sauces Chinese, Cambodian, Vietnamese and Korean. They also have a fresh fish counter very impressive selection of fish lobster crab and shrimp. The The vegetables are extra fresh and hand packed by the employees if lucky enough you'll see a large case in the back with the employees separating and weighing produce and stocking the refrigerated vegetable section everything is always fresh and cut to cook excellent place to buy vegetables for stirfry etc. At the checkout area they also have some select pastries from Chinatown which is a great find if you're not in the mood to go to Boston to pick up some nice Chinese pastry. I would issue them five stars but it is a little dingy in there but definitely I would stop in and pick up a piece of fish some fresh vegetables or any Asian condiments that you could possibly think of the staff is always nice and courteous they have six parking spots out front.

It's her pa-dek! Her customer service is 10 out of 10. She is so sweet and personable and so is her daughter and the man that works the front counter. It's a tiny intimate store that packs all the punches. It has everything you need to make an authentic Asian meal with many naturopathic remedies behind the counter that my mom used to use on me when I would get hurt or not feel well. I love this place so much you brought back so many memories.

Whenever I come into town from Seattle, I ALWAYS make it a priority to stop by this Lao store. I love that they're true to their spice and if you want it XXXXTRA spicy, you'll definitely get that XXXXTRA spicy. I normally order a Large raw beef larb/laap and a Large papaya salad. These usually come with a side of cabbage and cucumbers. I love this place so much that I came back the next day, ordered more raw beef laap and papaya salad but also got their Nam Khao and Meekathung/laadna, and they were delicious! Definitely order ahead of time by phone if you're ordering plenty since there is only one person doing the cooking. Since this is also a store, they do have ingredients/seasonings you would need to make your typical lao dishes. They also got instant noodles, som moo, different asian fruit drinks, mortar and pestle, bamboo sticky rice holders, rice cooker and so much more. I did happen to see that they even had thai flavored chips (salted egg, tomyum shrimp, etc) you usually wouldn't be able to get in the states! I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

Owen approached us after noticing our confused and puzzled looks while in the chicken section. We wanted to buy a whole chicken (in retrospect a huge undertaking for two novices). We literally had no idea what we were looking at/for. We would pick up a package, try and gather as much information as we could from reading the label, and put it back down. We did this a few times before Owen came to our rescue. Not only did Owen share with us his impressive knowledge of the best whole chicken to purchase, he even offered to spatchcock the chicken for us (a free service I had no idea Whole Foods did for already packaged non in-store products). It was not a surprise that Owen did an amazing job with our chicken and packaged it immaculately. He even included the chicken scraps and bones, wrapped separately. Owen left a huge impression on us and we look forward to seeing his cheerful demeanor and helpful attitude every time we visit this Whole Foods location. He is also polite and a great conversationalist! Time and time again, Owen goes above and beyond what he is expected to do. Keep up the excellent attitude and work ethic, Owen! The last time I visited the butchers, I heard from Owen that he is planning to go back to school and cut down to part time work. I sincerely hope the best for him and in all his future endeavors! Besides our great experience at the butchers, this Whole Foods location is solid. It can get pretty busy sometimes on the weekends and in the middle of the day during the weekdays, but it's clean and decently big in here so I don't mind the crowding as much. We constantly purchase our produce from here and they are young, fresh and last a while in our fridge. There are no floral staff members to wrap flowers you purchase here though (I've never seen anyone behind the flower counter). They also do not have any Whole Foods brand fresh bread or a bread slicing machine here. They do carry bread packaged from other brands here though. The Whole Foods cafe (for the brown butter cookie lattes) seems to be closed indefinitely.
