My boyfriend wanted me to find this place again, since the formerly known as "Tax Station" had moved to a new location. We had such a good experience with Lily the first time, we wanted to come back to her. I went in Jan. to inquire about an appointment with Lily to file our taxes, but was told she wasn't there that night and they tried to get me to file my taxes on the spot since I was there; luckily I insisted to schedule an appointment and do things properly, while being prepared thoroughly..... just to find out later on that Lily no long works there, when my boyfriend called prior to the appointment (because they seemed odd when I was there, and vague when I asked about Lily) Anyhow.... after being deceived ...I thought I'd try them anyways due to the overwhelming good reviews on yelp.. but the same lady with a stern face and glasses attended me 2-29-2016, was less than friendly; felt like a session with a stern catholic school nun .... not pleasant. Before I even sat down, I told her I wanted a quote on how much my tax refund would be filing with them...since H&R Block and another flushing CPA (Ruth Wu - Sr.Accountant of Liberty Accounting & Tax Services) provided me with their quote. All she was willing to tell me was that it's $50 to file, take it or leave it.... but they won't offer an estimation to let people shop around. So why have me sit down, and then look at all my documents??? I get more friendly faces attempting to file my taxes online with turbotax right now... they got cute pictures too and very user friendly platform... not to mention, cost less too. In short.... you're a paid service.... so how about learning some customer service skills ?? a smile? nicer phrasing when speaking to people? Ask Lily to give you some tips if you guys still keep in touch. She was so friendly about 2 years ago, we still look for her... Change how your customers are treated before you lose all your clients to online platforms. What a disappointment today. They must've gotten their friends to write these overwhelmingly "glowing" reviews because in a nutshell, I had to double check and triple check the work (it was that sloppy & a rush job). Good thing that I checked myself because key things that any conscientious tax accountant would flag was ignored. They also try every trick in the book to pile on unnecessary fees. In a nutshell, for all that, you might as well do the taxes yourself & save yourself the time, effort, grief and money. Btw, I highly recommend H&R Block filing online tax service. They're great, speedy, user friendly and highly accurate. And if your income is under a certain amount, filing with them online is FREE! I regret I didn't go to them at first. Oh, well. Jenny is very knowledgable in her field. She took the time and explained to me and my wife line by line, everything that she did for us. She made sure to educate us on everything that we needed to know in order to get the maximum of what we were entitled to on our Personal Tax Return. She also went above and beyond by educating us about other things we could do with our money to make more money with it and she didn't have to, because she wouldn't make a dime on it any ways. If you're looking to file your taxes and you're like me, financially illiterate and waited last minute till the deadline, these guys will break it down for you and you'll leave the office burden free within an hour. Jerry was again, a tremendous help. He assisted me with my taxes last year at The Tax Station (their sub-company that moved off Main St. Flushing) and he turned a potentially stressful and tedious process into a surprisingly pleasant one. He reviewed my supporting documents carefully and then proceeded to ask me relevant questions. He was able to determine that my mother had not claimed my tuition credit as an undergrad college student, so by that he was able to grant me a COUPLE HUNDRED DOLLARS REFUND. I found Jenny and her team via Yelp in the midst of tax season. Given my time crunch, I decided to use her based on the amazing Yelp reviews on customer service etc. Unfortunately, I was not lucky enough to have the same experience as other yelpers. If you want an accounting firm that yells at you when you ask questions, overcharges you for services and barely answer questions (it was like pulling teeth to get answers) then you have come to the right place. First off they charge an arm and a leg. Also LOOK at your tax return carefully before letting them submit it. Betty submitted my 2014 tax return with the wrong social security number, Now all hell is breaking loose! Betty told me that they couldn't e-file my tax because someone already e-filed it for me so she paper file it. Thinking I was a victim of identity theft today I called the IRS to verify all my information, they told me that my accountant put in the wrong social security number. I was not a victim of identity theft. I got a letter from the IRS and NY state, now I'm going bananas! Maybe they are overwhelm with work but Beware and check everything first, have them print you out a copy and look at them carefully make sure everything is correct. read more

My husband and I have been here for the last 2 tax seasons. We are so much happier with Jenny and her team. Before going to Jenny we went to the CPAs in the commercial building on prince street in flushing and let me tell you that place was a mad house!! There was no structure whatsoever. I would make my appointment for example on a Monday then i was told I would have to show up by 9am in order not to wait that long. That should have been the first red flag (what place doesnt have actual timed appointments?) So i show up 9am...I didnt get out of there until about 2pm...that was utterly unacceptable. I should have left years ago, but I thought it was be a hassle to switch accountants. Going to Jenny and her team was the easiest transition, they are always very thorough with everything and always very open to answering all our questions. The only thing is they charge about $40 more than that other place, but I guess $40 is worth it to not have to spend an entire day waiting for the same results! read more
