We recently bought a few varieties of orange marmalade from them and they were by far the worst marmalade we have ever had. They did not taste like marmalade at all. They all had the same overly sweet corn syrup jelly taste. Even the most generic marmalade in the store would be better. Don't waste your money here. read more

I stopped by their store in Ocala on my way home from my dad's on Christmas Day...bought a bag of grapefruit and a bag of oranges, spent over $40. Got home and went to take some to my neighbors on the 26tb and found multiple pieces of both the oranges and grapefruit completely rotten ...this is totally unacceptable since there is no way I can return the product. We stopped at Jennings Citrus in Oxford, Florida in January, 2020 where we purchased a $19.95 bag of oranges. We got home to Ohio the next day, and when I opened the bag, I found that all but four of the oranges were rotten, and the other four had mold on the rinds. I called and e-mailed the company, and they sent me a gift certificate that I could use to replace the oranges. However, since we will probably not get to Florida again, I thought I could order online. The cheapest 1/2 tray of oranges is $24.95, and the shipping cost is $12.95. I called their customer service and asked that the shipping cost be waived because I bought rotten oranges from them, and I didn't see the fairness of paying for their incompetence. They adamantly opposed my plea, and insisted I must pay the shipping. That is the last time I ever go to their tourist trap. read more

So I pick up my voice mail and my Sister left a message. She, in Florida, stopped by a fruit stand on the way out and sent some fruit to our family. The very next day a huge box with two layers of grapefruit and honey tangerines brightened my snowy step up North! The fruit was packed with care and only two fruits were soft from the journey to New York! Soft but still delicious! The fruit was just picked fresh off of trees just days before. Update 1/28/20. After contacting Jennings Citrus and emailing a picture of my receipt last week, I received a check for the full amount of $17.95 and a letter of apology. I am completely impressed with this wonderful response. I've changed my one star to a five star for excellent customer satisfaction and will try again when back in FL. Also this was a satellite location and they were going to speak with them. Original Review: Do not order from this company. We stopped at their roadside stand and bought 2lbs of honey bells in January which is peak honey bell season. We paid $18 for what turned out to be at best, $18 of juice - essentially one pitcher full. Most expensive pitcher of mediocre juice we ever had!!! The honey bells were not good for eating as they were way past their prime. Quite a few were moldy and extremely soft and definitely not sweet. Very very disappointing. DO NOT ORDER FROM JENNINGS CITRUS! Their honey bells seem to be rejects from reputable citrus dealer. read more

Unacceptable quality! This place must depend on interstate traffic and not repeat business. I purchased an 8 lb bag of tangerines and 1/4 bushel of oranges. The bags said #2 or better, it was more like #3 and worst. 40% were completely uneatable. Not 1 could be considered a #1. Better quality and price in local grocery store in Alabama. On the way back from Florida to NC we stopped by one of their stores and bought 1/2 a bushel packed in a bag. When we opened the bag few were rotten. More then that the taste was not close to what we ate at the store. Very bad experience. After 4 day at home most of the oranges got cover by mold. Never buy them again. My mother lives in Jacksonville and sent us as a Christmas gift a 2 layer pack of navels, it takes 3-4 ground shipping(to Nebraska) to receive the oranges and when we got them, they were frozen,brown and leaking juices. We called to inform them that the oranges where bad, and they told we had to wait until the holiday rush was over to send us new oranges. so finally on 01/15/16 we get our replacements and they are WORSE than the first batch. No flavor,brown, and heavy like they were frozen solid. Called to speak to a manager, just got to explain to a lady what was going on again, was told that I would get a call back, still haven't happened. So my mother called them again today to see what was going on, they informed her that they sent out another box this morning to us, without speaking to us before hand, so my guess its more navels and not what is in season now, the honeybells,I am NOT impressed with this companies way of communication nor it's way of making things right with the customer, If this was my company I would Refunded the money and overnighted a fresh batch of oranges to the customer ASAP not making them wait several weeks for the replacement batch and then it was worse than the first! It's a huge shame, I wanted my family to enjoy the greatest oranges in the land of Florida where I grew up, and this is what is delivered to us, not once but twice! Very disappointing. read more

Shame on this merchant for taking advantage of older people. The oranges were picked too green, are bone dry, and lack any sweetness. They are also too old and many are moldy and rotten. They are commercial grade only and not for hand eating. Am trashing all 3 bags. read more

Paid $16.95 for a bag of Amber Sweet oranges. Half were rotten inside and the inside was not pink as advertised. I think these were picked either green or off the ground after Hurricane Matthew went through. Not worth taking them home. Wait till next crop comes in. read more

After seeing all the amazing billboards "Florida Citrus Center! See the baby alligators!" on our trip back home from Florida, we decided to stop at this citrus stand. The only positive thing I can say is that the customer service at the actual location was great. I bought a 1/4 bushel of oranges and a 1/4 bushel of grapefruit that were in the prepackaged bags outside for gifts. All looked great and $25 later, I was happy. Until I got home to hand them out as gifts! Only 2 grapefruit were completely edible....3 more might be okay with the few soft spots on them. The oranges were alright except that I had to throw away a few that were quite gross. I was so embarrassed especially since I already let people know that I had fresh fruit for them!! I used Yelp in the past, but I joined Yelp to make a comment on this citrus location since I was very displeased. I e-mailed the company, but looking at the last comment, it doesn't look like I will get anywhere. We stopped on the way home. It was at night and I was too trusting. We traveled for about 36 hours, staying in Savannaha. The fruit traveled inside our rv, lots of air, temp. The 1/2 bushel of oranges yielded 2 good and the rest had white and blue mold all over rotted fruit. The grapefruit did a little better, 10 ok 4 bad. We recently spent 3 weeks in Florida. We stopped at the fruit stand at Oxford, FL. We purchased a 1/2 bushel bag of U.S.#2 or better naval oranges. We understand how they looked as we had purchased the same previously which were delicious. However, before two days had gone by we had to throw at least 4 of the oranges as they were moldy. The remainder have to be eaten shortly as growing softer and softer by the day. Several more had to be thrown. We came to the conclusion that they had been left out at the stand overnight and had been touched by frost.
