Bahar shot 3 completely different jobs for me, and nailed everyone…read more First it was my nephew (not blood) Zeke's Birthday/ Halloween party. Big deal, rented out a park field house, caterer, scary guy (instead of clown), scary bounce house, and Bahar. Yep that's right, she set up the back drop in the field house, and shot (with a Cannon, not a gun) all the kids in their costumes. So F-in cute. All the kids could get a copy. I think they are on her web sight under Zeke's birthday. But she was so great with the kids. Second she did some table top food promo shots for me. Uh... she made my food look better then in real life. She has a great eye. And I know she really likes table top because she's is a perfectionist. And what ever object is sitting under those lights doesn't get tired. And she can shoot till dawn or till she likes it, which ever comes first. And last something very special and dear to me. My niece's (blood) Bat Mitzvah. Bahar shot the day before the event at the Synagogue the family and solo portraits. The picture of my niece reading from the Torah is my favorite. We just received our photos from our son's third birthday year, and they are super cute. We were wrangling a three-year-old, a Rhodesian Ridgeback-boxer-beagle and a pitbull, and she made everything look relaxing and joyful. All three babies had fun and looked good. So did my shy husband and I. Laurie also did some light retouching at my request, and the results looked natural and beautiful. She is exceptionally good at retouching. She is personally a sweetheart as well. I am so glad I met her 11 years ago, and I hope to come back to her at least every year. She always blows us away!

The pricing was competitive and well worth it. The photos were taken in our apartment. When she arrived, Dorothy was very patient and gentle with our son. We also had photos taken of our respective mother-in-laws, since both were in Chicago. She was very attentive and clearly experienced in dealing with infants and their family. Dorothy was creative in coming up with the best arrangements and angles, but also very open to suggestions. After the shoot, Dorothy sent us some teasers and we got high res images within a week and we will select photos in a few days. I really appreciated the prompt replies, and attention to detail. She communicates great by e-mail or phone and went out of their way to ensure we had what we needed (initial send of proofs and final copies).
