This is the worst doctor experience I have ever had! When I walked into his office and sat in a…read morechair, he told me it was the wrong chair and pointed to the chair I had to sit in. He started off the conversation by telling me that he was sure that I wanted to hear his credentials. I said no, I just wanted to get started. He proceeded to take over 5 minutes to list his own accomplishments. During the conversation he would ask me a question. I would start to answer and get about 3 or 4 words out and he would hold out his hand in a "stop" position and tell me to stop. At one point I kept talking to finish my sentence. He yelled at me to stop. He talked me in a condescending manner, like I had no idea about my own thoughts. Most of the discussion was him talking to himself as he typed on his computer. I told him at the beginning of the discussion that I had anxiety and needed him to just tell me the necessary things I needed to know. He began listing all of the things that could be wrong with me. When I asked him to stop because of my anxiety he barked at me to stop talking and continued to talk to himself about additional things that could be wrong. Using outdated lab results, He became fixated on the idea that I had a autoimmune disorder without any current testing. When I told him that these results had been remedied and there were more current lab tests, he told me to stop talking. Instead of taking the time to wait to get new lab tests, He actually put an autoimmune disorder on my medical chart right then, without any concrete evidence. Later, with another doctor, it was determined that I did not have a disorder at all! It is a dangerous thing to diagnose and report without evidence. My friend had come with me to the appointment and I texted her to come back into the office because he was scaring me. He told her to sit down and not talk. When she tried to ask a question on my behalf, he barked at her to stop talking! He ordered unnecessary tets that uktimately showed he was wrong. I did not go back to him, but other doctors were able to tell me the good news. They were shocked that the diagnosis was already on my record and it was wrong! I have dealt with other arrogant doctors and I can bite my tongue if there is progress. There was no progress, only unnecessary worry and money. I feel this man is dangerous! On another note, when my friend was sitting in the waiting room, the office staff was having a loud debate about whether fingernails or toenails grow faster, then they started playing tag in the waiting room. A woman came in to buy supplements. When she left they openly mocked her.

I went in for an initial intake and spent $450 for one of the worst medical experiences of my life. His manner was cold, dismissive and arrogant. He asked questions and then would talk over me before I even finished answering. He scoffed at a treatment I stated I was interested in for PTSD. I made it clear I was a mental health professional and nutritionist which I was hopeful would give him some perspective on my knowledge level about health and trauma. Needless to say, it did not. But it did apparently give him permission to talk about his trauma and his experiences throughout the entire appointment. I would say I learned more about him than he did about me. In addition, I got a lecture on ibuprofen with absolutely no compassion for the 42 years of chronic pain I've lived with. I also got scolded for the way I took my socks off because it was contaminating the air (huh??). To be honest, as a middle age woman who has 4 children and an extensive history in the healthcare field, I am so completely and utterly sick of being talked to as if I don't know a damn thing about my own health and my own body. White male doctors are the bane of the healthcare field and it is time for them to get over themself...gah! The amount of mansplaining during this appointment was next level! I mentioned multiple times during the initial verbal intake process I had PTSD and trauma. He made no attempt to recognize this nor did it inform his physical exam of me at all. His examination was rough and haphazard. He made clear he wasn't trying to hurt me but it was necessary to "know what's going on". He is absolutely 100% is NOT trauma informed. He repeatedly touted that he knew what he was doing which I NEVER take as a good sign. When a doctor continues to talk about what he knows and how others don't know what they are doing it is a huge red flag. He also has no respect for others time which at the tune of $360 per hour does nothing but pad his own pocketbook. I came in with all my paperwork filled out (easily an hour and a half of my time) and he barely looked at it. At the end of session he stated (in a very grandiose manner) he had spent 90 minutes with me but would only charge me for 75. This felt like a way to cover up the fact that during the session he left the room three times to attend to other clients. From the time I arrived, I easily spent 45 minutes just sitting around waiting. If I charged him my professional hourly rate for my time and for listening to his trauma story, we would be just about even! Nothing he did during that appointment felt methodical or focused. It was all over the map and I was just dying to get out of there. My biggest regret is not just walking out of there after the first five minutes...a complete waste of my time and money.

They offered my $20,000 to go away and I said no. In the end she paid off my attorneys and I walked away with nothing. Run....don't walk...from her care. It was the single most petrifying thing I have ever done in my life. I entered the hospital with the following symptoms that thousands of people around the world also have, but cannot find doctors to give them answers for because most doctors are not trained in Chiari. My symptoms were... a chronic cough that made my head feel like someone had shot a gun through it at point blank lasting about 30 seconds each time; with each cough also came an electrical zapping that felt like bolts of lightning or a taser shooting out the top of my head and fingers and toes; I had complete dizziness that never stopped, causing it to be hard to think, see, concentrate, walk, shower, cook, shop, drive, fall asleep, pretty much do anything; upper and lower extremities would constantly fall asleep randomly; I would choke on nothing without warning, and also while eating and drinking without warning, my swallowing function would randomly just stop; I also felt like I had a golf ball in my throat even though a scope said I was fine; my vision was off; my gait felt choppy and uncoordinated, my memory was non-existent; I was unable to think of words when talking; I would say sentences that didn't make sense... And more! Thankfully God led me to a surgeon who was up to date on the latest Chiari research and she knew about all my symptoms and what my imaging meant. I will be forever grateful to Dr Jayashree Srinivasen, because I was on the very edge and she saved my life. Two weeks after my surgery, the lightening bolts and the gunshot head pain just disappeared. Many of the other symptoms continued to disappear over time. It has taken a long time to heal. At about 4 to 5 years post op, I stopped improving, but I am extremely grateful for as far as I have come in this journey. Thank you to those who have read this far. Dr. Peterson was EXTREMELY dismissive & refused to even examine her knee stating that the popping, clicking & redness/warmth that comes from her knee was an inflammatory disease issue & not an injury. When she asked if he would take a look at her knee & examen it to see what was going on as they were in person, he refused. She asked if he looked at every slide of her MRI because she is still in pain for her knee. He stated that he didn't need to look at every slide because the radiologist already looked at all of the imaging. She asked if she could have a second opinion from another Dr & he stated that she already had 2 doctors look at her (him & the radiologist) & that she didn't need to see another doctor to tell her the same thing that he was telling her. She has obviously never been examined in person with the radiologist & Dr. Peterson did not go through all of her imaging himself. When my wife starting tearing up because Dr. Peterson was being dismissive towards her & refused to even exam her, he stated that she was just tearful because he said that she didn't need surgery. She started crying because he was not listening to her & refused to exam her knee, not because he said that she didn't need surgery. No one ever wants to have surgery, it's a huge disruption to someone's life to have to have surgery with work & home life. We just received her chart notes from mychart & he lied on her chart notes stating that he examined her knee when he never touched her knee & straight up refused to look at her knee. This doctor should have ZERO interactions with any sort of patients as he lacks any sort of bedside manner, refuses to examine patients (even when they ask), & then LIES in their chart & doesn't notate that he refused medical care. If you want a doctor that actually cares, doesn't refuse medical care, & doesn't lie on your chart DO NOT go to Dr. Peterson!!! I have NEVER seen a doctor be so disrespectful, dishonest, & dismissive before in my ENTIRE life!!!!!!!!

I've had nerve blocks, spinal cord injections, cranial sacral work, and shockwave therapy on an injured elbow. I also received excellent consulting on an MRI for a collapsing cervical disk that another had doctor misdiagnosed. If Dr. Attaman hadn't reviewed it and urged me to schedule surgery (with a different doctor) urgently, I might have lost function in my bowel and legs. I'm grateful for his devotion to treating the root causes of pain rather than throwing opiods at them. His medical staff for procedures are also warm and flawlessly professional.
