As a rental, treated like second class citizen and considered irrelevant with respect to golf and access to amenities. I asked very specific questions about golf and amenities the second rental season and prices that information was purposely withheld. They rip off elderly, fixed income moms as well as make tons of verbal affirmations in regards to monthly rent and returning deposits after the place is deemed not suitable. So instead of honoring the deposit return, as they verbally said "you will be returned your deposit if you are not happy and feel uncomfortable to move in" they instead keep it and cause our attorneys to be involved as well as soon to be subpoenaed to attend small claims court! Karma will get you all in the end and you should be ashamed for ripping off a retired US government employee of 30+ years over a dilapidated condo. Elderly exploitation folks!! I contacted Kari Epp and in a month she had the peak season of 2022 (Jan, Feb and March) rented. Within another month she was able to get August-October rented with possible extension into November and December. I have been renting out my personal home through Jennette Properties for the last three years. My first property manager either quit or was let go as I was never told what happened. I thought property managers are supposed to make renting a property easier, but not this one, the second property manager has made it way more stressful than it should be. (lack of communication, her personal life interfering with her business life, just about every problem became an emergency and turned into a bigger problem because it was not dealt with in a timely manner). The property was not ready to be occupied when we moved in, filthy, previous tenants clothing was on the floor surrounding the washer & dryer, holes in screens, stains on carpet, loose railing on stairway, recycle bin was full of items that can't be recycled at the front door when we arrived which we had to empty, cigarette butts in front & back area & beer bottle caps, numerous other repairs which we had to endure that should have been done prior to moving in. We have used Jennette Properties for many years to take care of our condo. Our problems arose 5 years ago when our original manager was no longer with them. With no communication for months, we ended up contacting them and they had no clue who was handling our property. After e-mails and few phone calls, we finally ended up with a person. They we very inefficient managing the property for cleaning and maintenance where we had to be on top of them. 2 years ago this person left and again no clue what happened and why. Same scenario happened again with phone calls and e-mail, we got another person. Now this manager was even worse and very arrogant and rude. We found out from others that they did not prepare for arrival of tenants this past spring. There was a lot of issues had to be fixed, repaired, or replaced while the tenants occupied the condo. This stuff should have been completed well before anyone used the condo. We finally ended up going down which we ask the manger to have the condo cleaned and prepared. Upon our arrival, the place was not cleaned. While doing maintenance and cleaning, we found stains & damage to furniture and carpets. August 2017 I hired Jennette properties in Sarasota to find me a tenant for an annual lease. Kathy Smith was a terrible agent and didn't provide me a reasonable level of service. She didn't take the pictures right away and didn't put the rental on line when I asked . I own a villa in Sarasota and live in Canada. Two years ago I hired them to find me a tenant and they could only find me a bankrupt tenant that lasted only two months before defaulting on the rent. I thought I would give them another opportunity to redeem themselves and I was extremely disappointed again. I had a flood in my property at the end of August and it took one month to restore and repair the damage. After two months of little activity from October to December 2017 and little or no feedback from my agent, they could only find me a rental for a 7 month period. They hired several cleaners without my approval and tried to bill me additional unnecessary costs. The tenants moved into my property without me receiving any money. I requested that the first and last months rents be sent to me express post and they refused. I called my agent and emailed her several times for an update on the activity and feedback on people that saw my property and she did not return my calls. I was so fed up, I called the office manage to complain about Kathy Smith and to insist that I be send my rent immediately. They held back my money for almost a month after the tenants moved in before sending it to me. Do yourself a favor, don't hire this company to find you a purchaser or tenant. Worst people on the planet. We had an $11,000 a month rental on longboat key and during the spring rain the ceiling started raining in the house which stain the ceiling and caused a whole bunch of mold to start growing. This resulted in us needing to leave early from the rental. Bridget, the agent for the property management company, could've cared less. No refunds no consideration at all. In fact even though we clean the sheets and made the beds before we left they took out $180 out of our $3000 security deposit for no good reason other than a big F you at the end. If you want an overpriced, moldy house by the beach these are your guys. read more

I should have read the reviews before working with them. The owner of the company actually tried to break into our unit during the hurricane!!! Thank God we had cameras and threatened to call the police on him. Now they hold our deposit as if you read their reviews many people say they are a scam!! I would not recommend them when there are solid companies like Michael Saunders and zillow. These folks are only interested in your money nothing beyond that. They will tell you anything including leaving out critical information to the point of not disclosing fully conditions and restrictions on the property they present to you. They will give you a promise verbally then the price will suddenly change if they think you are under and pressure to proceed. I will say that they did contact me and offered a solution that was acceptable to all concerned, I think they just needed to get all of the information to the right folks so that it was obvious a resolution was in the best interest of everyone. I rented thru Jennette properties for 4 mths. As a seasonal rental and therefore my rent was more expensive due to being in season. I received a call from the rental agent shortly before I was to arrive in January telling me the cleaning people upon cleaning from the last renters had encountered lots of bugs and she was "on it" & the bug problem would be taken care of; she called an exterminator. There was still lots of bugs when I arrived, some were dead and a lot were not. When I opened the kitchen cupboards bugs would fly out, the dishwasher was infested, bugs were running over the countertops, there were bugs in the upstairs bedrooms & bathrooms. I emailed the rental agent & she had the exterminator come over again; he stated it would take awhile to work itself out; he did spray again. I decided to do some additional cleaning to help to remedy the problem; I pulled the stove out...filthy and dead bugs , 1 being a cockroach. ( I have pictures)....I did a deep cleaning of the rental....I could not clean the cupboards which were filthy because of the spray the exterminator used. He said that's what would keep the bugs away. I did ask if there was another unit available; I was told there were none. I felt bugged out thru out my stay there. The bug sightings subsided about 1 and a half to 2 mths. Into my stay. And there's more: upon my arrival; I was given the incorrect lock codes to get into the gated community; had to wait for someone to leave to get in & I arrived via cab...very expensive. The pool was closed for repairs for supposedly 2 weeks; it turned into 4. I did get my security deposit back but for less then I thought I would get back. According to my contract a 2 bedroom is $195. For cleaning charges; they charged me more? I emailed the rental agent & because I was there for 4 mths. They felt they should charge more. The only cleaning that was needed when I left were washing sheets for 1 bedroom and a light cleaning thru out. If anything; I would have thought I'd be offered some type of compensation!! read more
