Upon completion of the work, I reviewed the invoice and matched against one of their competitors who came in around 30% cheaper. I would expect not all service companies to be equal but when "Market Rates" are referenced on an invoice and don't seem to match other "Market Rates", that's a red flag for me. After trying to have a conversation multiple times with no return call or reply from the owner, they instead threatened to put a lien on the home. I would recommend getting multiple quotes for this type of work. Rocky Moutain BioHazard, sad to say, seems to take advantage of folks in great times of need.

However, I eventually found them adding to the stress. They did not complete the work as promised, further damaged my property and possessions, and increased the original quote by well over 50%. They also removed my ladder from my house and did not return it until I realized it was gone and asked for it back. I was given an insurance payment and was directed by my insurance company to withhold an amount for the incomplete work and damages. Instead of agreeing on an amount or taking responsibility and apologizing for the poor work, RMBH deflected, avoided responsibility, and even accused me of insurance fraud and threatened to put a lien on my home. According to the reviews, I am not the only one that this has happened to. RMBH is fully aware that their clients are in a bind but are clearly willing to take advantage of their situation and will resort to threats and accusations before rectifying their part. I'd advise them to actually perform the services they promise and ensure that future clients' possessions and property are cared for in the process.

I've made two trips to this facility and both teams the process could not have been easier. I was able to load everything onto a cart and all it took was a quick check of my ID (the whole thing is free since I'm a resident of Erie) and I was on my way. The staff is always welcoming and nice, and their service is a huge help in relieving stress related to needing to get rid of these materials. I'm also a big fan of the fact that they put out materials that can be re used for free, so people can come pick up what they need. All in all, this facility is so smooth and I love the way they operate!

Like paints, bug sprays, cleaning products or yard products, etc. Here is the website with all the details of what and how they take stuff. https://www.bouldercounty.org/environment/hazardous-waste/about-household-hazardous-waste/ The staff is friendly, there are short lines but you must follow the instructions outside and use the delivery carts, even if you only have one small container. They are only open part of the week. Always check their schedule before driving out there. If you are delivering containers of paint that could still be used, they have a giveaway that they handle after the products are cleared. I bring out unwanted but still usable paints given the lack of storage at home and it's better to send it on its way to someone else. If you only have small amounts in the paint cans and they have thickened with age, then following their instructions for garbage service disposal, as it is ok for just latex paints, which when dried to solid, are not harmful. But most chemicals are and can even cause damage or start fires in the garbage trucks. Every few years I also round up other products besides my old paints and take them out for disposal also. You will need an I D to prove residency and once you are in the system, it goes pretty quickly. Good to see out taxpayer dollars at work.
