I went to this salon for an appointment with Victoria (A level 1 stylist might I add) and the price…read moreof $80 turned into $216 with no warning. If you schedule online and you click Bayalage it states $80 for this particular stylist. When I asked how did it nearly triple she stated "well I mixed up 3 bowls of color". I saw those bowls as she was bringing them out, they were barely half full, so you don't mix enough on purpose so you can charge for 3-4 half bowls instead of 1-2 appropriate amount bowls. It was definitely a ploy to upcharge without a doubt, then she tells me it was also $30 for the "gloss" which she took upon herself to spray on my hair and never once said there was going to be an upcharge, this is the first time in my life where a salon used products automatically and then charged me for it (it's not like I got to take the bottle home or anything, $30 for a few spritz of whatever is outrageous). The worst part is I showed her a picture of how blonde I wanted my hair and it's not even close and she knew I wasn't happy with the color because when she saw the disappointed look on my face she said "the lighting in here makes it look different." I even asked if it would get lighter after a few washes and she said "Oh yea definitely" (it hasn't gotten lighter by the way and its been 3 weeks) and still waaayyyyy overcharged. I have had other services at this salon and the stylist I deal with for those is always upfront and super transparent and an overall joy to interact with as he is super easy to talk to and genuinely cares and remembers preferences from one visit to the next, so the place isn't trying to take advantage of people just Victoria, my advice STAY AWAY!!!!!!

Massage was wonderful, except for the shoulder which was just painful. Stacey, the masseuse and proprietor, suggested I contact my doctor because she did not believe what I was feeling and describing was muscle related. She could not be sure what it was but suggested I should at least rule out any potentially serious issue before any further appointments. Good thing she did. I had a herniated disc in my neck that was causing the aches and tingling in my neck, arms, and hand. It soon lead to a loss of strength in my left arm amoung many other things. My Doctor and Healthy Touch worked together over the course of almost a full year until the massage therapy, medical procedures, and revised exercise program brought me back...almost as good as new. Without Stacey's recommendation I am have waited longer to see my Doctor...and it might have been a lot worse. Massage can relax you and feels wonderful, but at times, when done correctly and professionally, it can be so much more.

And on Monday, preferably. I get a lot of massages. It's my pain relief and my stress relief especially as my primary job is physically taxing. I love it though, almost as much as I enjoy keeping my massages regular. This is why... I was pleasantly delighted how Venus can fit me in today on a Monday and honor my request of having Jose. His massages coupled with his professionalism and competency are incredibly relaxing. So intensely relaxing... that...ha ha! I left without the water bottle I came in with and had to go back! Jose helped the absolute brutal pinched nerve that I walked in with, coupled with his competency and professionalism. The rest of the facility is very nice too, professional and like a day spa experience. The coffee and herbal tea bar is also a nice touch. I've had a pedicure before here and it was lovely as well. They have plenty of pedi chairs for a girls day out, or you can elect for a private room. Thanks all!

Pro-tip: Look for any specials they have. On 2 occasions we were able to get package deals for multiple services to save some money (and try some new services). I've had a mani/pedi - the regular manicure didn't last long, but that may have just been the polish I chose - next time I'll for sure ask for recommendations on long lasting polish. Other services I've enjoyed: massage (30 min), facial, and spray tan - all great experiences!

The massage and such is always nice, but my gel "black" was gray and polish was all over my cuticles and fingers. My mother went yesterday and her maroon nails look like a dulled gray red, and polish again covering her cuticles and fingers. The woman who did my nails made an asian "joke" making fun of salons with asian owners and they way they talk. Like I said, the massage is great, but that's about it. Not worth $130 for a dull mani and pedi. She asked them not to cut her nails, and they did anyway.

First of all, this place is VERY expensive. I asked a store downtown for a recommendation for a…read moremani and pedi and they recommended this place. I'm new in town so I had no idea that this place didn't have a regular mani pedi section. When I called to make an appointment I said I wanted a regular gel mani and gel pedi thinking that I've wouldn't be more then 60 buck like every other salon I've been to, I was not informed or warned about the unnaturally high price. I found out after everything was done that it was around 98 dollars! They are stealing from their customers. I've never in my life of getting my nails done in 2 of the most expensive cities (Miami and Los Angeles) have I ever been charged that much for a mani pedi. And for almost 100 dollars I expected way more than I got. I should have been created with champagne or something. They don't have a large selection of colors and the lady didn't file my nails evenly. This was a very important appointment since I was getting all of this done for my sisters wedding. I got my nails done Monday night and they already looked terrible Thursday. Most of one nail had already come off before the rehearsal dinner which was Friday. Also, the same night after getting them done, I noticed at home that she had done nothing with the cuticles on my pinky toes. All of this is absolutely unacceptable for a 90 dollar mani pedi. This place only gets 2 stars because the people were nice. However, please do yourself a favor and don't come here to get your nails done. In my opinion nothing is worth paying that much for a gel mani and regular pedi, and it definitely should be better quality work if you come anyways.
