I bought a Toyota Verso from Jemca Croydon. On the way home from collecting the car I noticed a rattle coming from the dashboard, this was not clear at low speeds during the test drive. I returned the car within a few days and the dealer said they would fix the rattle. I returned to collect the car from the workshop, I was told the rattle was gone. As I drove down the road by the workshop it was clear the rattle was very much still there. I returned the car to the sales manager, who suggested we test drive the car. Bearing in mind I was rejecting the car there and then, suggesting a test drive was totally inappropriate, I was already very angry at being fobbed off by the workshop who would not even get a mechanic to come and explain to me what had been done to repair the car. This was not a local dealer and each of the 4 times I went to Jemca it took time to get there. When it came to a refund the same sales manager said I would have to reclaim the car tax on the vehicle as it was now registered in my name, in the end the dealer changed their mind and returned the full price of the car. When I received the V5 document for the car they had not even got my name right on the document. If a workshop had done a proper road test of this car I am sure they would have heard the persistant noise coming from the dashboard, if they knew about the fault they should never had sold the car as it was. read more
