We live reasonably close so decided to pop down and see the options in person. Parking is available near by and the site is across two lots providing a variety of make and model of cars to look at. A family run company, established here for decades, meant that I felt a little more comfortable about purchasing from here. It wasn't a site that had popped up and likely to disappear just as quickly also. We were pretty much left to look around without any hassle and when we found some we liked, were offered to take a look inside. They provided guidance, pointing out the different gadgets and workings of the insides. They were also happy for test drives to happen and for us to take them for a drive by ourselves. We did not encounter any heavy sale but Mr McCarthy, was on hand to talk through the spec's of the different vehicles and very happy to show paperwork and checks they perform on all their cars. There was no bartering here however, the aftercare help and assistance provided meant that I felt this wasn't needed. All cars are RAC checked and they provide a full service before you pick it up along with MOT up to date and taxed. The car we were interested in did have some little scratches on the side which I was told would be removed. I must admit, I was a little apprehensive about what they would see as 'removed' and I would see as 'removed' but, decided put my trust in them and have a little preparation for a discussion on said 'removed scratches'! Having come back a week later to pick up the car, I was very impressed. You would not know that there were scratches on the side. Mr McCarthy lived up to his word to trust him! His son, James, assisted us on the finalisation of paperwork and signing up for RAC cover (also comes as part of the deal) which is an added bonus on top of everything else. Father and sons were all very informed, personable and easy to deal with. It has been a very pleasant experience so far and would recommend them to anyone looking for their 'pre-owned' car.

This review was going to be a 5* till the last 10 minutes, so I'll write a general review and in…read morethe end I'll add what happened in the last 10 min and you can judge for yourself. :) I have seen many car dealerships and most of them are dumps and look really dodgy, but not these guys. It's s family business run by a Bulgarian family and they have s really nice and clean show room with comfortable seating in waiting area and bean to cup coffee machine. The main owner took the time and allowed me a long test drive and was not pushy at all. In the end I liked the car but the audio wasn't working. He took the car immediately to his mechanics and under 1 hr it was fixed. They part exchanged my old car (99' Peugeot 206 GTI) despite few issues and gave me a £100 offer on it. I wasn't expecting too much more with the faults anyway. This all sounds really good doesn't it, do here is the surprise twist .... The sales price of the new car was £990 and minus the £100 I get for the old car makes it £890. I give the guy £900 in 50 notes and naturally I was expecting a tenner back ... To my surprise he fills out the contract at £990-£90 = £900 ... Getting a tenner off me and when I mention it to him he makes a cheeky comment "your still getting a bargain". My issue is no the 10 quid but the principle and I leave it up to the reader to decide if they can live with it...

Please be very careful when dealing with these people especially the Lexus division. They pretend…read moreto be there for you but ultimately it's your money they want. They fob off every manufacturing/design fault on the car and make you pay for it. I have always driven Lexus cars and now I think this will be the last own.

I bought a car on 1st August (ford fiesta) and had problems from day 1 - they gave me a clear MOT…read moreinspite of ruined break pads (which was mentioned as advisory in earlier MOT and wasn't replaced before sale). I had to literally visit the garage 5 times to get this issue resolved. When I collected my car after repair - the rear bumper and body has BIG SCUFF AND DENTS. Ashburton service centre bluntly refused to repair this and said that "cars are always parked on the street after repair and they don't take responsibility for what happens to the car on the street". I quote their exact words "For every car that we repair and park on street, if we started fixing the dents caused while they were parked outside our garage, we would go out of business". I have complained to motorcodes - case ID is 20515. I will complain to VOSA for providing incorrect MOT just for selling the car and I'm in discussion with a solicitor to raise a case in small claims court. AVOID THEM - they sell bad quality cars, bad quality repairs and don't take responsibility for safety of cars in their possession.
