One goal we have on our adventures is to audition speakers and new equipment for our home. We live in Miami and the audio stores that I have loved over the years are gone. Northern Audio was quite the surprise. I had no previous knowledge of this store or owner. After calling I was told Greg is who will give you demos. I have been an audiophile for many years. Greg exceeded our expectations. His vast knowledge, professionalism and passion was so appreciated. We spent a few hours with him. What a lovely, intelligent, humble human. Frankly, he blew my mind in all the good ways. There inventory is vast. We listened to Rosso Fiorentino, Totem, Klipschorns, and La Scala just to name a few. All under one roof!! We have not made a decision as to what to buy. We are going back in a few days to listen some more. This time we will also check out the store below called Music to My Ears to browse their extensive new and used vinyl and CD's. Thank you Greg, see you soon. Cyndi & Steve

As beginners we looked to Greg, from Northern Audio , who patiently talked us through what our end goal was and what budget we were looking at and he helped us build exactly what we were looking for. We're so happy with our purchases and can't thank Greg enough for his patience and expertise!

After researching options for programming, I needed to get hooked-up & that's where these guys came in. We had three TVs to convert & knew nothing about it. I imagine we could have struggled through it, got frustrated & eventually get there, but decided to bring in some expertise. It was worth the investment as they programmed the Roku boxes I bought & effortlessly logged us into the programming services I subscribed to. In about an hour all three TVs had everything loaded. I lost one channel I would have preferred to keep, but gained two that weren't available through Armstrong. I calculated saving $75/month on programming, so their reasonable service fee plus the cost for three Roku units will be recouped in three months.

About two weeks ago I contacted Dan…read moreletting him know that I was planning to purchase a new TV and wanted to get it mounted on my living room wall with the cords hidden behind the wall. Dan was initially very helpful providing me with specific information and suggestions of what brand and size TV to buy, which was great and I really appreciated the expert advice. A day later, I reached back out to Dan to let him know that I purchased the TV and he said he would send me an email with an estimate the next day. I unfortunately never received an email with an estimate or heard back from Dan again. I have reached out to Dan three times since asking him the status of the estimate. I'm not sure if Dan decided that he is no longer interested in the job I requested, but it was frustrating that not only did I never get an email with the estimate I was told I'd receive, but that he also never provided any communication or explanation since. I unfortunately have to rate one star based on customer experience and complete lack of communication.

Then PAV helped me find B&W speakers, and then transported them to my home in Potomac, Md., brought them in and installed them, along with a Yamaha receiver that they recommended and sold me. Again, all at very fair prices and with a high level of competence. These speakers are remarkable--about 250 pounds apiece. Just moving them and getting them into the house without marring them was a major undertaking. And they did it all on a snowy day. I would recommend PAV for any sort of audio-video job where you want deep expertise to help you through the thicket of the complexity of equipment choice, the trickiness of installation, and someone to deal with you with complete integrity.
