Check out her facebook, there are a lot of pictures there too of her clients' hair. Sarah really took her time on me and my hair looked GREAT after. Very straight and shiny. After waiting the requisite 72 hour waiting period I washed my hair. I had asked Sarah to do the treatment so my hair wouldn't stay stick straight forever. After washing, my hair is more wavy than curly which is what I wanted. It is also less frizzy and more manageable, not as knotty. After a few weeks with it, it is still soft and wavy, but not crazy curly like it's been in the past. It is easier to wear. I am happy with it!

Naturally I love all things glam, and the Glam Bar is no exception. My stylist at the Glam Bar is Sadie, and to put it lightly she is completely amazing! I've been seeing her since she was at her previous salon and followed her here to her new home, and I've gotta say I really love the environment here. The vibe is sleek and modern and everything is brand spanking new and sparkly. Get ready to relax and get pampered! Did you forget to grab a drink or small bite to eat before coming in for you appointment? No prob! You don't have to sit there in agony, while your stomach growls like the lion at the Audubon Zoo- because they offer various assorted snacks, Keurig coffee, soda, water, wine- just help yourself! The stylists here all seem extremely talented, but I have only seen my girl Sadie, and she is just the bees knees. Not only is she the sweetest and easiest person on earth to talk to but girls got talent! She always executes the style and color I request, but at this point I usually ask her to do her thang because she knows what works for my hair color, face shape, etc. Like any great stylist, she frequently attends seminars to stay up to date on the latest and greatest techniques, so you can always feel confident taking your crazy hair fantasy to her to turn it into reality! Other services they offer are eyelash extensions, brow waxing and spray tanning. I haven't had the opportunity to try these services out yet, but as soon as I get some extra cash I plan on giving the lash extensions and spray tanning a go! Go visit Sadie @the Glam Bar and get ready to meet the new, beautiful you!

They also asked if we wanted to make it a couples massage, which was really nice too. Driving up the place, it is a little odd the way the business is. The front faces Veterans, but you can't really drive up to it and park, you have to park in the back and go through the back which is the hair salon part. Anyway, after that tiny bit of confusion, we were welcomed by the front desk. And eventually our 2 masseuces. We went up the stairs and there are these very clean, changing rooms with lockers to change into our nice relaxing robes. The massages themselves were so very relaxing. The masseuce applied the perfect amount of pressure and my husband said the same about his massage. The heated towels were wonderful. The relaxing spa music was wonderful. The temperature level in the room was wonderful too. I highly recommend this place for a nice, realxing, and (maybe!) the same day massage.

UPDATED REVIEW: unprofessional, inappropriate, disappointing…read more To give an update after my terrible haircut and the follow up, the salon owner, Amanda, reached out to me through both the Vagaro and Yelp reviews I left. Once again, I was so hopeful that things would be fixed after Taylor completely botched my bangs, but it turned out to be one of the worst experiences I've ever had (both with the haircut and the follow up). I'm so so disappointed that this was my experience with a supposedly great salon, but after the way Taylor, the stylist, butchered my bangs and how Amanda, the salon owner, not only talked to me but also how she handled the whole situation has been incredibly appalling and upsetting. For a quick timeline: I got a horrible haircut (see photos) that left me crying all weekend to the point I had to purchase fake clip in bangs, the salon owner left a comment on my original Yelp review that I had to report and get removed (the comment from her you see now is the 2nd one she posted), I no longer felt safe nor comfortable going back to the salon, the salon owner refused to refund me, she then blocked me on from messaging their social media business account and my phone number from calling, we never settled the matter, and Taylor the stylist also blocked me. Unfortunately that's where this story ends: with no refund, no answers, and no bangs. Below is my original review with no edits or changes. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I was so incredibly hopeful going into this appointment, but when I saw my actual haircut I just about burst into tears (of unhappiness and disappointment). The initial appointment request and follow up communication/service was exquisite, hence my high hopes. They asked for reference photos, appointment goals, and general questions about my hair. After I put in the request one of their employees followed up with times/dates I would prefer, which was a nice touch. Now going into the actual appointment, they were all very kind and sweet, and the salon itself seemed clean. I asked my stylist, Taylor, her thoughts on what would suit my hair after telling her my initial ideas/goals (cutting off dead ends, trimming my bangs a bit, and adding longer face framing pieces). She assured me fringe bangs would look great and started with a rough cut while my hair was dry. Atter that, she shampooed my hair and cut the rest while my hair was wet. Up until the end, it seemed as if she knew what she was doing, but when I actually got a close look at my bangs, it was quite apparent she has zero bang cutting experience. Photos attached of my reference pictures vs what I actually received, and how my hair used to look before this unfortunate botch haircut.

I previously wrote a positive review, before I knew what was going on with my haircuts…read more I went to this salon for about a year, and always requested long layers. That means some hair in the back should be cut a little above the rest, so that it's not so thick. Well, instead I got angles (face framing, very short around the face) and SHORT layers. I didn't know why for months on end why I felt uncomfortable wearing my hair completely down. I kept wearing the sides up, because in every photo of myself, it looked like I had a short bowl cut with long strings coming down!! It was a very big year for me, and after one event's photos were ruined because of this haircut, I decided to switch salons. The hairdresser there said he couldn't believe how short they had been cutting the back. He showed me with a mirror, and my "long layers" were at eye level!! I have very thick hair, so of course this was making me look awful!! After 2 years of trying to grow my hair out, I had to just chop it all, so that my hair could finally be one length. So sad.
