I went in for BRCA testing, which is scary in itself. I explained how scared I was getting the test, being young and knowing the steps that might follow. He was very comforting in the office, told me he'd take care of everything. A week later, I get a call from the lab that got my blood work saying that they've been storing it for a week, they tried to reach out to Dr. Stewart and no response so they're going to discard the sample soon so I need to get in contact for him to send an order for what to test for. I'm on day 3 of trying to contact him to call the lab. He called my emergency contact number to get intouch with me 10 minutes before his office closed, so when my mother gave him the phone number, he went home. Because of the anxiety attached to the testing, I haven't been able to sleep, eat, or function properly, which I called the nurses and explained to them and still, no sense of urgency or care to get back to me.
